Amazing service, food came right away and tasted great, free refills, will definitely come again!

Maybe a drink stop but not for food. $29.50 for Nachos with beef, small portion on a dinner plate size tray. Less beef than a burger patty for a $7 adder. There are plenty of sports bar style places downtown that are far better value. Nachos and 5 happy hour drinks for $78 is a rip off. Don't get ripped off because tourists will frequent places like this. Kelowna has plenty of good casual dining better than this. read more

Everything was fantastic! We had Darin as our server. She was so nice. She gave us a sample of any beer we wanted to try. Her recommendations for food was on spot. We had the mustard maple bacon wing & lemon pepper wings. They were the best wings. The loaded baked potato soup of the day was delicious. Salad was good. I highly recommend this place and will be back to sample the rest of the menu. Perfect pub grub!!!! read more

The food is so delicious! The service was fast and kind. I really enjoyed my experience here. I sat outside. I liked our space.

Stopped in for a quick beer on the way through tonight. Was helped to find a tasty IPA from the lineup..... and then was rather shocked when it arrived in a HOT glass..... not unchilled or warm, but HOT to the touch. The old saying applies.... First impressions are lasting read more

Honestly the worst customer service I've experienced in my entire life. Our waiter was rude and nasty throughout the entire experience. It felt like he genuinely resented every customer that stepped through the front door. He was extremely antagonistic to the table after a mistake made by another employee. The quality of the food felt absolutely overshadowed by the dismal service. You could not pay me, nor any member of my party to go back to this restaurant. read more

We really like the Train Station and have gone two years in a row now. This time our server's name was Erica and she waited on us so well! The atmosphere is really chill and casual but not too laid back like a dive bar. It was a great place to share some appetizers, have some drinks and hang out. This time around we ordered: - calamari: corn and beans was a great touch and the squid was the perfect texture. - Dry ribs: were lemony and cooked just right. - Oaxaca nachos: didn't have anything to do with Mexico (used jack cheese) but they were still a good pick. The pickled red onions were a nice touch but they could have used something else. Get the guacamole - it was really good. - Okabagan iced tea: is amazing and we could have ordered several more. I really like this place and my girlfriend and I would definitely become regular customers if we lived in Kelowna. read more

With time to kill I dropped into The Train Station Pub. Seems like I always have 'time' I know but such is not always the case. The venue is quaint, an old train station, and I guess the decor matches that theme. Bright, open, lots of wood and brick. I was waiting for the whistle but it never came. I sat by some windows (of which there are many) and surveyed the joint. My server, Jill, was 'johnny on the spot' and arrived promptly. She was friendly and interacted easily. I ordered the flight of 4 house beers for $8, in my case the TSP Lager, TSP Honey Lager, the Steamworks IPA (didn't see that listed as an IPA on the drink list), and the Prohibition Amber. All were good. I'm not the biggest IPA fan but it was certainly tolerable and not too hoppy. For food I chose the SQUEEKY POUTINE for $12. It was made with cheese curds, black pepper fries and chicken gravy. I have to say it was one of the best poutine I've ever had. To round out the visit I chose a glass of the Honey Lager. It's interesting that their drink sizes are not typical, 14 oz and 21 oz.. Perhaps so they can be priced lower than others. All in all I enjoyed my stay. I find all pubs a bit noisy (people noise) but that is likely just me (old age and all that). The age group was varied with some children being present. Not a deal breaker in my mind. Coles Notes of my visit to The Train Station Pub are: 4 for service, 4.5 for food (same for drinks), 4 for decor, 3.5 for price. Overall a 4.0. Thanks again for listening. read more

Stopped here for lunch. Had the hot wings and beer battered fries. The wings had a kick to them which I did like. They wings are a fair size. I had to ask for blue cheese on the side. Would be nice if they came with it automatically without charging me .25. The fries being beer battered were OMG over the top delicious. They were crispy. They came as a recommendation from the bartender and did not disappoint. Partner had the corn chowder with pesto. When we first heard about this chowder we were unsure; however, the bartender advised us that it was scrumptious and did admit that it was a odd combo of ingredients. Once again, her recommendation was spot on. The bartender Jade was fabulous. Her customer skills and interaction with us was top notch. Always available to answer our questions and just a friendly upbeat person. read more

Cant miss a relaxed atmosphere and well prepared cocktails! I judge most full bars by whether or not they make a proper booze forward old-fashioned and I hadn't expected anything from Train Station since they are a pub featuring craft beer. Quel suprise!!!! Niiiiiiice old-fashioned Train Station keep up thr good work! Oh yes and their food is great too! I had an amazing tataki-style seared Ahi burger the first time I came here but its not on the menu anymore (cry). I had a flatbread today and it was deeeelish. Called the Okanagan - pear and... well most flatbreads with pear don't suck anyway in my experience and this one did not disappoint. Friendly staff too thank you very much. I love that they keep the sound on the TVs down too and play good old standard pop quietly. So I can watch my soccer matches and not have a beer-soaked brute screaming in my ear AND enjoy a proper bourbon old-fashioned. Yeeeeeee-ha!!! read more

I wanted to like this place, I really did...I live and work in the area. Waaaay over capacity. Was hoping for a friendly neighborhood pub and maybe it normally is, but feel the service catered to the pub crawl and not to seated patrons. Too bad, I'm new to the neighborhood and looking for a good drink and a bite to eat. Couldn't eat my $20 nachos as they were way too salty and overlooked and brittle..(Wonder if they mistakenly used seasoning salt instead of taco seasoning on the beef?) and unfortunately with no quality check no one seemed to care. Our barely touched overcooked, inedible nachos sat there for almost half an hour. Paid for a plate of food I didn't eat. The extra salsas and Sour cream we ordered to try to wash it down never did show up. One bartender forgot our drink order...maybe because it was just a coke? Had ordered it to wash down terrible food. Finally flagged down (literally had to hold my arm up for almost five minutes and I was seated at the bar) second bartender to get it...While my friend's beer sat empty. People shouting orders right next to me, yelling to bartender and jostling me, nice. While we were ignored, a bartender made up three trays of shooters to give away to people on the pub crawl...I guess they were just too busy for us. When we did flag down a bartender to talk to him about the food that we'd sent back, he told us that it was because they were slammed and so busy. My friend remarked that the busy shouldn't affect the quality of the food in the kitchen, the bartender just walked off-I don't think we were rude or snarky, and I don't think we deserved that. Spoke with manager, he just said it wasn't usually like that, he did say "I apologize" and said "I hope you consider trying us again in the future" and that lots of people in the neighborhood were happy with the place. Felt that no one in the place got it-that bad food, dismissive and rude service isn't okay because of capacity. Our $47 came quickly, and when my friend paid with a hundred dollar bill, $45 was returned to him. He had to ask for the entire change back. 2 stars for location and local wines. read more

The Train Station Pub - Too salty and too over cooked to eat - Pubs Near Me - Kelowna, British Columbia

My wife daughter and I had dinner here on our vacation here in Kelowna. The location was convenient to our condo. We had dinner on a Tuesday night. It was a mixed experience in terms of the dinner entrees. I ordered the samosa burger with green salad. It was good as was the green salad it came with and would recommend to anyone looking for a meatless option. My wife ordered the "orchard" salad anticipating a complete dinner salad as described on the menu. Unfortunately, the salad came without two ingredients listed on the menu - chickpeas and blue cheese. Because the salad looked like nothing but green leaves, We asked the server whether it was missing anything. She confirmed that it was made as it was supposed to. We then reviewed the menu and learned that it was missing two items making it a side salad more than a dinner salad. My daughter ordered a house salad with ranch dressing. It came with oil and vinegar. They then brought ranch dressing. Central restaurant down the block had better food and servers although it was younger crowd and not as quiet as the train station. read more

I have been there repeatedly over the last few years and each time that service hasn't been great but okay. Most of the time just okay. Usually go to enjoy the patio. This last time, a Monday evening, holy bleep. Let me preface it with it wasn't very busy and there were 3 servers on the floor, 1 bartender and looked like a manager sitting in the corner. Greeted by the bartender told to grab a seat wherever. Great start. Sat down and the waited. And waited. And waited. No menus. Table was dirty. The manager was sitting in the corner and the bartender talking to him while we sat without menus, a dirty table and no server. We sat for a long time. Finally I got up and grabbed menus. Also grabbed a cloth from bartender who had made his way back to the bar. I preceded to drop menus and clean the table. Then went to the washroom. By the time I was back still no one. After a few more minutes finally a server. She then proceed to take our order. Forgot to bring the water and saw me asking for it again, in the distance. Then brought us the wrong beers. Swapped them out as we were sipping them. I will say the nachos were fantastic. And The Chef de Parti brought them out! She was nice. Only saw our server once more. Extremely unhappy. Server was horrible. I don't leave reviews very often but this was just absolutely ridiculous. They desperately need to do something too to bottom about how they run this place, it can be so much better. read more

Four of us stopped in for a late lunch 3 days ago. After about 10 minutes of racking my brain about what we ordered I came up with it, which means that the meal itself was not that memorable. The train station pub is actually an old train station which makes it quite charming. We secured a booth near the bar that was very comfortable but also verrrrry noisy. Our conversations involved a lot of yelling. Three of us ordered burgers of some sort and one ordered poke and we all had some type of local beer. We paid for a gourmet burger and what we got was not bad but not worth the lofty price point. Overall, not worth a specific trip to The Train Station Pub but if you find yourself here you won't be suffering. read more

First and foremost the waitress we had was phenomenally accommodating. So that immediately set a great tone for this experience. Secondly, there were so many tasty menu items that it was actually very difficult to decide on one to order. My mom and I ended up splitting/swapping a samosa burger and the diablo burger. Both were positively delicious. The diablo was a spicey fancy version of a somewhat classic burger, the samosa was very unique and definitely grabbed my attention and was very memorable; I'd be shocked to find it anywhere else, but would also be delighted if I did. The best part of my meal, which may sound silly, was the sweet potato fries and aioli is came with. Just, wow. They came out piping hot in the middle, crispy and NON-greasy giant wedges. I could have easily eaten a whole meals worth of just those. Great place-- food, service, atmosphere, happy hour-- everything. 10/10 experience. read more

I have only been here once and i really enjoyed it. Good drink specials, awesome service. The only complaint was that the music got cranked to ear deafening levels last Thursday night. The music was good, but when its that loud it becomes bad, and then painful. My ears hurt for days after. There was the coolest crowd of people i have seen in some time in my few short months here. A little older (over 30), less make up, more down to earth. read more

We were recommend to go here by the front desk clerk at the hotel and I'm glad he did - it was so good we went twice during our four night stay in Kelowna! The venue is really nice. It's in an old train station that has been remodelled as a pub. Gives it a cool vibe overall. It also has a large patio which is great for warm evenings in the summer. As with any pub the key is the beer. On the first night two of us ordered two different flights of local craft beer trying 8 beers altogether. We enjoyed just about everything we tried with just one IPA that we weren't a fan of. The second night we ordered a couple more flights but just got what we previously enjoyed. For $7.50 they were a good deal. The food was great and everyone in our party of seven enjoyed what we ate. A shout out for the fries which were delicious. The menu overall is pretty typical pub food (burgers, fish and chips, etc) but everything tasted fresh. It's not on the main stretch in Kelowna so maybe that's why it was a little more quiet than other places. Then again out large group didn't have to wait an hour to get a table which was certainly a bonus. read more

My hamburger was great and this is why - fresh bun, fresh vegetables (onion, lettuce, tomatoes), good cheese, and most importantly - delicious beef! There's only one way the beef on that burger could have been better and that would have been if it could be cooked medium rare, which, for some odd reason, restaurants in Canada cannot do. So, to find a good overdone (for me) burger that still has flavour and is juicey, can be quite challenging. They nailed it! And I have to mention the fries - for sure some of the best fries I've ever had. Hot and crispy with a light coating. So good and they stayed hot forever! My friend had a salad and she said it was delicious and tasted better than the description on the menu suggested. Service was excellent and the server really had a nice way about him. Easy going but very professional. We will be back soon. Lots of parking at a really good restaurant. How convenient! read more

Staff are friendly and attentive. Food is not worth the price you pay. The pictures you see on yelp are not indicative of what we received. The ribs were sad for the price. I went here last night with my BF for his bday. We searched menus in Kelowna for the " dine around Kelowna" event and felt they had the best options. We were seated in a lovely booth in a quiet area of the Pub which was perfect. Ashley served us and from the start was amazing! She was very friendly and professional. Just lovely. The menu consisted of a starter option of Boa Bun. I will dream of this for a good while! The bun was perfect! Light and fluffy with delicious sticky sweet with right heat Korean braised beef inside. Then we had Lobster Mac and cheese. It was creamy and cheesy in just the right way with sweet lobster chunks. Mmmmm. Finally we enjoyed their salted Caramel Sundae. Gelato , caramel, sundries cherries and honey almond praline, whipped cream and chocolate sauce... need I say more? I can honestly say the food was on point! After dinner as we finished our wine ( which because it was Thursday was 1/2 price!) we were visited at our table by management to make sure we enjoyed our visit. I made sure to let them know how great everything was. This was probably the best dining experience I have enjoyed in a very long time and worth every star. read more
