I also bought a few rolls and a couple of pieces of Borracho, which were also good. Then I asked for a Pineapple Upside down cake that was in the case. All total it came to about $70,00. This was on Friday morning, June 19th. I came home, put the cake and the cookies in the refrigerator because I was going to take it to my brother's house the next day. The next day Saturday the 20th, I took a box of the cookies and the Pineapple cake to my brothers. I took the cake out of the box. Not only was it stale, but when my sister-in-law cut the cake, underside was covered in BLACK MOLD! Imagine my embarrassment for bringing stale moldy cake to give to brother and his family! I was thinking about going back with the cake and asking for a refund. But for the $10.00 I paid for it, it's not worth the aggravation. But that's the first and last time I go to Torino's. Apparently, they'll leave shit in the case to go stale and moldy and sell it to some sucker who walks into the place and buys it. That's no way to do business and maybe the health department should take a look at what's going on at Torino's bakery.

Some of the ones I got were carrot cake, strawberry cheese, and vanilla cake. The pieces were enough to share and the prices were really decent. It came out to around 13 bucks for everything. The staff was great with putting everything together in boxes and checking me out at the register. Everyone loved the pastries when I brought them back to where we were staying and snacked on them all weekend long. I can see why this is a favorite in the area and I'm happy I went in there at the last minute. The kids and adults from our crew approve of the sweet treats.

The grocery section of the store offers a good selection similar to bodegas around, but the draw definitely is baked goods. On Friday Saturday and Sundays only, they have their deli open. Which you can order food, like tacos and quesadillas. Wish I could tried it, but at least baked good were great. One thing about place is, it looks big on outside but kind narrow on inside with the aisles. Particularly feels like a bottle neck in some sections.
