Guess who loves bread? Not me. But my husband and my mother do, so we always have pandesal at home. I like eating pandesal for breakfast and afternoon snack too. On days when we're feeling health conscious, we'd buy wheat pandesal from Pan De Manila. Or the pesto cheese pandesal. Either of that will do.
As expected, their bread is soft and tasty (especially when it's just out of the oven) but what I really like are their spreads. We usually buy their garlic butter and my favorite, the Herb Cream Cheese spread. It's so delightful with hot pandesal!
One time hubby was craving for donuts so he brought home a big box of Pan De Donuts from Pan de Manila. The donuts were big and the frostings were delicious, but the bread itself weren't very donut-y. It still tasted like pandesal. Props to them for trying, but I think they're better off without this in their stores. read more
