Nothing spells comfort food more than freshly baked bread, especially when you're working a 9 to 5 and all the other options around involve deep-fried salty objects or burgers. Pan De Manila in Tektite has always been Old Reliable, and the simple joy of eating fresh pan de sal is something I share in common with pretty much every Filipino - at least I think so. This particular branch is very small, so sometimes, there are actually pretty long lines that spill over into the outside corridor. Still, Pan de Manila's egg tarts (an underrated pleasure), Pesto Cheese Pan de Sal or even just the plain wheat pan de sal is worth lining up for. I recently discovered that the donuts, specifically the white chocolate-covered donut covered in almond slivers, is pretty good! It can almost give JCo a run for its money.
Also, who doesn't think pan de sal is absolutely perfect with a hot cup of coffee in the morning? Definitely a huge fan of anything Pan de Manila does. read more
