    Becky's Kitchen is a family enterprise that thrived for decades. The Becky's Kitchen house along P. Ocampo corner Bautista is an old house with a nostalgic Filipino charm. Their cakes and breads are delicious and cheap compared to other bakeries/patisseries in the metro. One of my family's tradition is to serve at least two cakes during noche buena and media noche. I also bring cakes to parties. My favorites are their prune walnut cake, chocolate mousse, swiss chocolate cake, cheese rolls, and caramel cake. Just a tip for those who want to order a cake or any gift item during holiday season: make a reservation as early as November. You don't want to stay in line for hours during December. The queue extends up to the street during December. No reservation fee necessary. As much as I love their old staple cakes, I do wish though that they would come up with new and delicious cakes this year.

    Old time favorites .. consistency is a must and the quality stays the same. So yes I would recommended this bakery

Of course, the revel bars are always a party hit, as well as their cakes. But I think their cookies are one of the best I've tasted! (And i've tried alot, mind you.) The chocolate macademia cookies don't scrimp on either, and is absolutely mouthwatering, especially when they're just fresh out of the oven! (You can cheat this by putting it in the oven really quickly, at the lowest setting so you won't burn anything.) Purple Oven doesn't just do desserts either! They've got a pretty good selection of bread and quiches! Perfect for a lazy brunch at home. Just pop em in the oven the next day, and they go so perfectly with some coffee or tea.

And it doesn't help that they actual load a new batch of goodies in the oven every hour (with a schedule posted on the chalkboard of what's cooking by what time), I think I sat there for half a day and didn't even notice I've been there that long. Whether you're in for a savory treat or a sweet-tooth satisfier, they have so much to choose from. My top picks are still Grandma's Chocolate Cake which has layers of caramel between moist, rich chocolate cake topped with chocolate ribbons and the Banoffee Pie which has a pie crust filled with banana, cream and butterscotch. If you want just a quick bite, then try their cookie selection. I love the chocolate macadamia, very chocolatey and chunky and not too sweet.

Purple Oven is the perfect place to satisfy my dessert desires. I love the Chocolate Campfire cake, it's rich, moist, chocolate cake that topped with marshmallow icing. MARSHMALLOW ICING! I suppose you could take a slice and sandwich it between graham crackers and call it a smore. For days when you just need a little sweetness, try the double chocolate chip cookie, choclate macademia cookie or chocolate dipped cookie (where literally have the cookie is dipped in chocolate). They're pricey at P60/cookie but they're a little bigger than my palm and the chocolate chips ooze out when you bite into the cookie. There is no scrimping on ingredients in Purple Oven. The products here would also make great presents. They're hefty and have the wow factor because of their packaging. The chocolate crinkles, lemon squares, brownies and revel bars would be great to share at the office while the cakes would be awesome to bring home to family or to impress in-laws. Enjoy!

So I was quite surprised when my friend mentioned something about a Torta delos Reyes from the Aristocrat. We were having a nightcap and so I told her that 3 in the morning was not really the best time to have cake. And boy was I wrong because after she's managed to make me taste it, I realized instantly the injustice of getting in between her and her craving. Let me illustrate what kind of decadence we are talking about here: once, I brought some home and so everyone was like "oh okay, a cake. Is it good?" Instead of answering, I simply sliced across to reveal what's under the ganache: crisscrossing white and milk chocolate woven through wafer. And that's when my sister exclaimed: "that's not a cake, it's a chocolate bar! A giant chocolate bar!" And trust me, it tastes as good as it looks / sounds. And here are two other things worth trying: The Chocolate Supreme Cake that has 6 layers of alternating chocolate cake and chocolate icing (6 layers!), and the chocolate beehive which is essentially merengue on top of a brownie, all covered with chocolate. I know right! Exactly the kind of wicked I'd gladly inflict on myself. Suffice it to say, The Aristicrat Bakeshop is one of the most underrated source of sugar fix in town.

The food quality is almost always consistent and is very delicious. Service is very professional. The ambience and decor of the restaurant feature decades of Filipino history through pictures on the wall (Greenbelt Makati location) and are very unique overall. The absolute best Wildflour location for those looking for peak ambience is the one in Quezon City, South Triangle. It looks small on the outside, but as you walk inside, you will be shocked by how massive and beautiful it is. For food items, my personal favorites are the Beef Tapa, Fried Chicken with Biscuits and Gravy (4 massive pieces of perfectly fried chicken that beat any fried chicken spot in the U.S.), and the Clubhouse Sandwich (all on the lunch menu, which opens at 1:00 P.M.). Everything we have tried on the lunch menu was very delicious. Now, one major critique I have is regarding their breakfast menu. Their options for their breakfast menu can get boring really fast, which is why I recommend only going during lunchtime (1:00 P.M. as of 1/18/26). Specifically, I ordered the Wildflour Breakfast (swapping out the sausage for the Bacon Steak). The Bacon Steak is incredible. It almost melts in your mouth and is very delicious. However, what downgrades it heavily is what it's accompanied with, that being dry fried potatoes, 2 decent sunny-side-up eggs (or scrambled or poached if you choose), and one long stick of hard and dry--what looks to be--sourdough bread just slapped on top of everything. It just made the entire dish dry and unpleasant to eat. One location provided strawberry jam and butter (Quezon City, South Triangle); however, another one I visited in Greenbelt Makati did not. As a fix, I recommend serving the Bacon Steak on top of some greens (arugula) that's topped with a slight drizzle of cracked pepper agave syrup and ricotta, keeping the side of eggs, and swapping out the fried potatoes for country potatoes. If they would still like to serve bread, change it to 2 slices of sourdough toast, lightly toasted, with butter and jam consistently served along with the toast on the side. Next is the Benedict. When I ordered the Benedict, it did look incredible. It's served on top of thick--what looks to be--biscuits, 2 slices of bacon per biscuit, avocado, tomatoes, perfect sunny-side-up eggs, and hollandaise sauce. One major issue, however, is that they add too little hollandaise sauce, making it drier as you continue eating it. The avocados can also be noticeably unripe and hard. The biscuits themselves are nothing special and are way too large, in my honest opinion. I simply recommend they add more hollandaise sauce, as it should be dripping from the top of the egg to the bottom of the plate, since the hollandaise sauce is what adds the majority of the flavor in a Benedict. They could also tone down the size of the biscuits by at least half a centimeter in order to make it more properly portioned in relation to everything else on top of them. I also believe this height issue will solve another major issue I had, which was that it was super messy to eat. I went from knife and fork to needing my spoon to scoop everything up. Otherwise, Wildflour is an incredibly unique restaurant that offers delicious food!
