*Note: This is a 4.5 Star review…read more Since the past weeks have been very, very hot and humid, I've been craving for cold desserts. My new favorite dessert at the moment is Bingsu! While I was down South, my friends and I decided that it would be great to end the night with something icy to cool down. We actually weren't sure where to get Bingsu but, thankfully, we found this hidden gem at Molito. Bingsu is basically the Korean version of shaved ice or halo halo. Imagine soft, icy snow with condensed milk poured on top then add any toppings of your liking: from mochi to fresh fruit to brownies! We arrived almost to closing time but they still allowed us to order. We decided to try the regular size of the Injeolmi, Mix Berry Yogurt, and Mango (of course!). There was a bit of wait since we were the last order and they ran out of ingredients and had to prep for more. So, we waited for about 15-20 minutes. While we were waiting, we decided to hangout in their "Snow Room"! Yes, they have a small room in the café where "snow" falls from the ceiling. Pretty cool making snowballs! :) After hanging out in the snow, our bingsu orders arrived. Among the 3 that we ordered, the best was actually the Injeolmi! It's was the most traditional one and it was also the most flavorful. It had the right amount of sweetness and it was packed with ingredients. The Mix Berry Yogurt was tart and had dried fruit which added the sweetness. The Mango Bingsu was a winner. But, I always ended up going back for more spoonfuls of the Injeolmi! The one common factor for all the Bingsu we ate though is that the ice was sooo fine, fluffy and creamy. One of the best quality bingsu I've tried so far! I will definitely come back when I'm in the South again. I hope I'll be able to try their Cheese Bingsu next time! :)

The snow room in the cafe was a pretty fun touch. The desserts they serve were certainly fun and just the goodness we needed. We ordered the chocolate snow ice, the small one, certainly, it was enough for two to share as a dessert. I'm used to the Taiwanese snow ice and this is certainly something new. Reminded me of the snow ice, but the ice was really flakey and soft, super fun for the palette. The chocolate wasn't overly sweet and was just plain enjoyable. We were already eyeballing the menu for our next visit and scoping out the other tables. It all looks so good!! If you need a cool pick me up... This should certainly do the trick! We hope to visit again soon and try everything eventually :) A la cuisine! Stay hungry my friends!

Last time I went they only had 4 ice cream flavors on their menu, but hopefully this increases cause I think their ice cream is the main selling point. I love their Milo dinosaur gelato because of both the flavor and the texture! It was rich and creamy without being so dense, and the idea behind it is interesting and out-of-the-box just like their other flavors. Service was slow but acceptable considering they'd just opened. Worth coming back to! Looking forward to trying their other dishes as well.

Liquid nitrogen gelato is not that different from the regular ice cream but what makes it worth trying is that you are assured of its freshness. FYI, it's made from fresh cow's milk. Upon ordering, the ice cream of your choice is made right in front of you by their well-trained staff. In just a few minutes, and with a little help from liquid nitrogen, they can turn milk into a smooth and creamy ice cream. If you're a coffee lover, I highly recommend their Tiramisu ice cream topped with a piece of broas. It's really good! A cup costs around Php 150.00 but the serving is generous enough for two. They also serve pasta and sandwiches that are just as good. They are still improving on their menu but it doesn't make the experience any different.

My friend ordered strawberry shortcrepe and was disappointed that the strawberry was a jam rather than fresh ones. Even then, the jam was minuscule. Instead, it had plenty of strawberry syrup. She liked the crepe itself and thought the strawberry ice cream was delicious. I ordered the Pinay crepe that had plenty of fresh mangoes and chocolate syrup. It did not come with ice cream so I ordered chocolate ice cream as a supplement. I enjoyed every bite because the crepe was warm and the right amount of supple. Surprisingly, it was not too sweet. Hubby ordered the mango crepe with Grand Marnier and coffee ice cream. He enjoyed it. Coming here every time we come to the Philippines has become our tradition. Also, price hasn't increased that much which is great and service has always been attentive. They serve their crepes on their signature blue and white plates and the interiors haven't changed much too. I always request them to make my crepe a bit crunchy to have more texture. Their coffee and their burgers are good too. Overall happy that this place is still doing well and that they've maintained consistency over the years.

It's ice cream in the form of tiny little dots. They come in a wide variety of different flavors. I can't recommend any flavor because the simple truth is that I've only ever tried it once. My parents told me that the serving was quite small given the exorbitant price to be paid for each serving. The taste itself is nothing special. If memory serves me right, again this was years ago, the flavor I had was bubblegum. Considering the fact that I haven't gone there in what must be more than a decade, it shows you just how good it really is. That doesn't mean you shouldn't try it. To its credit though, the Dippin Dots in Alabang Town Center is one of the older establishments in the mall. The fact that it still stands means some people actually like it. I guess you could say that it just aint my cup of ice cream.

I jumped at every chance to have a cup of their frozen fun. This was THE ultimate ice cream shop in my grade school; everybody who bought from here was the coolest of the cool kids. Now that I'm older, however, the magic has faded a little. Now I recognize that the prices are kinda high in respect to the amounts you get, and out of respect for my body, I try not to buy their mostly unimpressive ice cream too often (not really worth the calories). But sometimes, when I particularly miss being a kid and there's a stand nearby, I treat myself to a small cup of their bubble gum or banana split dots, savor the texture of the micro ice cream scoops, and everything is alright again for a little while.

Every month, they change the flavors in their yogurt selection. Most of the time, the flavors are Original, Peach, Chocolate, Hazelnut, Strawberry and Grapefruit. For those who find frozen yogurt too sour, I recommend the Chocolate or Hazelnut. It doesn't taste like frozen yogurt because there's no pinch of sourness. It's like eating ice cream but a healtheir version. Their small cup already has a big swirl of this cold treat so I think it's enough for your frozen yogurt craving. You can also choose one or more kinds of toppings for extra flavor!

It was roughly around 9:30 in the evening and we thought we'd have a hard time looking for a place to eat. We didn't want to eat a full meal, so we crossed out having to eat at our usual restaurant stops. We chanced upon Cerealicious and saw that there were still customers inside, so we decided to give it a try. As we entered, we were happily greeted by one of the staff and our sleepy selves almost immediately got a hit of glee. We saw that aside from cereals, they also had a few choices of pasta and sidings like mojos, fries, and even Taiwanese-style fried chicken. Being first timers, my sister got the Hurt Laocker and I chose to order the Nutting Hill. She was quite satisfied with her order and filled her up just right. I on the other hand thoroughly enjoyed the consistency of the milk snow (as they call it) and was happy that there was a generous amount of cereals, nuts, marshmallows and chocolate bits in my order. At PhP60, I think I've found an answer to my random cereal cravings.
