Be careful with this company. I used them in Topeka 10 years ago and they put oil resolver in my two yorkies eyes and didn't call so I could get emergency care for them. When we picked them up we of course went to emergency vet. The owner said it was because she had a new bather. I know accidents happen but my two little ones suffered for a few hours. We had taken our Jack Russell there for years and was very happy with them. But the last time, he came home with his eyelid turned inside out and pus was running out of it. Looked like they got too close with the shears so we called them and the owner was very belligerent and refused to admit to any wrongdoing. Got my two poodles in quickly (same day). The tiny toy is so bad I gave up trying to cut her hair myself. I own a pair of Oyster A5 Dog grooming clippers but she's so small and resistant that I just can't do it. The Toy has a temper on him and can get mean. Needless to say the got the job done on both. If I could leave zero stars I would. I was seeing groomer Ashleigh regularly for my pet care needs. I found out today that she was fired on the spot, because the owner Stacie Robinson didn't want her breastfeeding her newborn son. How blatantly ignorant can a "business" owner be?! I hope there is a lawsuit filed, because this is absolutely unacceptable. The state of Kansas would have a field day with this case if investigated. read more

We won't be returning. We have gone 4 times. We have two dogs, with each visit they have become more and more terrified. One dog experienced stress colitis after going for a bath, pooping blood, required a trip to the vet who indicated it was indeed stress induced. read more

NEVER AGAIN!!! We have taken our dogs here for quite awhile, we never will again after today. One of our dogs came home with her right eye completely red (blood red) - took our dog immediately to the vet and the vet said that our dog was probably hit around that area and it caused a bruise in her eye (hence the red). I am beyond livid. None of my dogs will ever be sent back to this place. read more

We took our Yorkies here for a grooming, Stacy was so very friendly and our lil ones who don't usually like to be groomed felt right at home. They looked marvelous and it didn't take all day. I will definitely use them again and the price was great too. read more

The haircut was average, the experience was far below average: Called ahead asking for a price on a medium sized dog (Wheaten Terrier) for a haircut/bath combo. Dropped my wheaten terrier off. When I picked her up they up charged me to a large dog price. When I asked why they told me my dog was "overweight and substandard." They informed me that they thought my dog should weigh 12 to 16 pounds, which is completely false. In actuality my dog's whole lineage is 100% purebred and AKC registered and maintains recommended weight. read more

My Mini Aussie loves it here! We've been here twice. She's naturally nervous when I drop her off but always seems so happy and comfortable when I pick her up. They do a great job! I also love how they put bows behind her ears--it is adorable. It's also priced lower than Petsmart, which is great. read more

This place is horrible! I have taken my dogs twice. the first time did a good job and listened to what I wanted. the second time NOT!!! I have schnauzers and like their feathers, beard and skirt left long. I told them this when dropping off and said I was fine with an extra charge with combing out. My older one who is a handsome guy with a long flowing beard has no beard, no feathers or skirt. tried to tell me they did exactly as last time, then back peddled and said this is a standard cut for schnauzers and they had to do it that way to even him out. he was not matted as they claimed and furthermore his beard should not have been cut. I WILL NEVER GO BACK AND WILL TELL ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN TO USE ANOTHER GROOMER!!!! VERY UNHAPPY! would not give any stars, but had to click one to write review! read more

I just got back from bringing home my Cockapoo, this was the worst grooming experience I have ever had! Do not take your pet there! First I made an appointment on a Tuesday because I was told they were open late. I informed her I work until 5:00. , she said that was OK because Tues. was her late day. When I dropped her off I told her again I work till 5:00. She then calls me before 5PM and says where am I and that she has stayed two hours past her closing time for me. I remind her I get of at 5PM. She is waiting for me with my dog when I arrive. I was charged $58 dollars , $10 for watching her! No mention of an extra charge when I took her. Then I said no mustache, she has one! I said leave her ears, and she cut them. She was so thirsty when she got home , I guess water would have been an extra charge. read more

Please, do your pets a favor and never take them here. The owner was very rude, not gentle with my dog, and didn't call me when things went wrong. My dog was so traumatized when I picked her up that she didn't even recognize me at first. She was so scared. Due to complications they didn't finish the haircut, and instead put her in a kennel for the remaining few hours. read more

I do not recommend. We have taken both of our dogs to multiple Pampered Pets locations in Topeka. If you request a certain style...dont expect to get it, their concern is not on what you want but how easy it is for them to get it done. If you have a problem or concern definitely talk to the manager, she will treat you like you are ungrateful and out of line. Also, bring extra cash they may tell you it costs one amount when you drop your pup off, but when you return its 10-20$ more depending on how much you or your dog inconvenienced them. On one hand they are good at making dogs look good, that is if they can tell the difference between a yorkie haircut and a poodle one. The last and most important thing is the treatment of our dogs...we never had issues grooming them until we started taking them to Pampered pets...now they are scared to death of combs, brushes, and especially groomers and they were not before all of this. read more

I have been to this location three or four times and I was somewhat happy the first two times, but the last two times have been less than stellar. The girl working at the front desk was very friendly, the two girls waiting for a pet to to groom were unfriendly and hard to drag away from their phones. The last two times my Lhasa ended up looking like a poodle. I specifically asked if it would be an issue to trim my pet and not shave, the girl at the front looked and felt him all over and said he was not matted so it wouldn't be an issue. One of the girls on her phone looked up and said the back looked matted. I told her I just brushed him out and it wasn't matted and the cashier agreed. When we picked him up he was shaved shorter than the last time. They even shaved completely to the skin from his "back side" to his under belly. Again I specifically asked him to not be shaved and confirmed that he was in good shape. The last two times he was shaved and groomed to look like a poodle. Very disappointed in the service and lack of "variety" in their ability to groom a dog. The fees seem high for the level of service and the "accomodations". I can get a crappy haircut in a cleaner environment at PetSmart. read more
