The room I wasn't allowed in. The cat I wanted is laying on the bed
Raina M.

Well let me start off by saying that I am an animal lover and have been one every since I was a small child. My first pet ever in life was a small kitten that we named peaches and she literally grew up with me and my brother. This sparked a love for animals that I've always had. I was on work related business regarding my presence in this facility therefore I cannot speak on what the event was or pretty much anything else I'll just speak about how I was treated while I was there. I did walk to the area where it was a play room for cats. I was looking in the window and saw a cat that was just watching my every move. I wanted to go in and investigate more and play with this cat when the guy who told me that I would have to fill out an application to adopt just to be able to go in. I found this kind of strange considering first of all I was there for an event that had absolutely nothing to do with actual pet adoption. Second I hadn't expressed that I was interested in adopting but that I wanted to test the waters with a certain cat in case I was thinking about it. But to be stopped at the gate before I could even get in and told to fill out the paper for adoption before I could even go in, it kind of put me off a little bit. What's worse is when I looked at the adoption paper it was almost like I was buying a home due to all of the personal information that they wanted about me. I felt that the information needed for someone to bring a loving pet into their home was a little too intrusive. You do not need to know my credit history my financial background in order for me to be a good parent to a fur baby. I already have a fur baby, so I was looking for friend possibly through the cat I saw but due to the intrusive nature of looking for adoptees I kind of lost interest. Some may even say that the paper is customary for businesses such as this, but I cannot concur. The event however went nice and if you're looking for adopting a pet and you don't mind your business being all on paper to do so then by all means this place is for you. Also the many different people who were volunteers and brought their pets in were very nice and accommodating to us visitors. I actually saw a hairless guinea pig for the first time. It scared the crap out of me but I did see it!

Ygritte. Adopted her in 2019 from HHHS at their Game of Homes special.

The amount of trust yall put in others to train your pets is insane including with myself believing…read moreI would get effective training. I paid $900+ for a month of training for my German Shepherd and the funny thing is I got an invoice for $160+ I have to pay back for days I didn't use when I was currently not having my pup taken to school. They couldn't even teach my dog to sit and on top of that, I had someone pick her up for me and she had smelled like urine and feces due to them not taking her out and there's no way she was doing that at home because the other person I had dropping her off and picking her up was actively teaching her the basic things while I was away for training. So it being a daycare I wouldn't even give them that credit of saying that. I'm not paying that fee cause that's bullshit honestly for the days I didn't use I'm getting charged? I placed her in there in March this year on the 14th and pulled her out around the beginning of April due to the mishaps of her not being let out and attended to. If i wanted her to not have no out time, I would've just left her at home with no one to take care of her and have her be neglected etc. If anyone wants a good or decent dog daycare don't give them a chance. it's a bunch of unqualified people there making an earning they did not earn. As patient as I am and was during them showing me what was going on, I was not impressed and didn't say anything at all after having her back home seeing how much she was hungry and thirsty. Keep giving those a benefit of the doubt and they'll take your kindness as weakness. Good hunting to those who want efficient training and proper care of their other children while at work and or away.

I honestly thought my dog was a bit dense before I went to Mutt School. As it turns out, she's…read morebrilliant, I'm the dense one! The basic class was great for understanding the techniques for training your dog. If I hadn't moved away I would have attended more of the classes!
