took my dog to get groomed. They charged me $8.00 more than last grooming (two months ago), When I questioned why they said because holiday (July 4th in 11 days) and demand was high. This was not communicated verbally or anywhere in writing. Corporate customer service told me they reserved the right to adjust priced at will. Bottom line is Pet Smart is screwing regular customer's by penalizung them when thier business is good, instead of rewarding loyalty. So thet gained $8.00 today and lost $100.00 every two to three months. GREAT business model PetSmart. Penalize loyalty. read more

We come in here every 2 weeks to get Guinea pig necessities and usually our toddler likes to stop and look at the fish. One of the workers "Frank" knew we had no intentions of actually buying the fish but we just like to look while we are here! he was SO KIND and showed our toddler all the cool fishies AND DWARF FROGS that we totally over looked! Our little guy's mind was blown by seeing tiny frogs in real life and Frank went the extra mile and even explained some facts about them and what he's noticed! It's not every day that you get employees at a business to go out of their way to help knowing that we have no intentions of buying fish yet. If anybody needs a raise at petsmart it's definitely Frank! It's good to know that there's people who actually care out there! read more

Took my dog and paid for the bath and brush and added the luxury plan to it. It cost me over $80.00 for the groom that they did not even do! They did not clean out her ears, did not wash her everywhere including her bottom as there were dirt in spots that that she had going in. They did not put balm on her feet that was include in the luxury package. The only thing they did that I could tell was clipped her nails. And nothing else! So I paid a very high price for just getting her nails trim. The staff was nice but wish they did the job I had paid for. Very disappointed and upset that now I have to find somewhere to take my dog in hopes she gets the services and treatment she needs and deserves. read more

I had a very puzzling experience at the grooming salon. I called to make an appointment for nail grinding and a friendly employee told me to walk-in any time from 2pm-6pm since they don't make appointments for nail services. When I arrived at 2:30pm, I was told that the salon was so busy (despite being empty) that they wouldn't be doing any nail services for the rest of the day. When I asked for an appointment for the following day, I was told once again to arrive from 2pm-6pm since they do not make appointments for nail services. I drove half an hour in 100° heat with two elderly dogs, and still no appointment was made or any resolution offered. I recently moved from a state where my local PetSmart REQUIRED appointments for all services. Maybe management at this location should look into a similar process. I've since contacted a local small business and made an appointment for my dogs. I won't be back. read more

So they lost me as a customer me and my mom went to the store over the weekend and we were going to get some fish tanks that they put on the shelf for 19.99 but when we got to the register they were ringing up full price so we asked if they would honor there mistake the manager said no I bet if I would hay been white they would have gave me the fish tanks for that price I will never shop here again and I'm going to tell all my family and friends not to shop here either read more

I took my dog in to get groomed and haircut and I specifically asked the gal to make sure and cut around the tail and rear end area. This didn't happen. She explained to me that cutting hair could change the markings, I understood that but they did not listen to the paying customer I wanted more of a cut than they did. I will not be using them for any grooming services and will not recommend them to any of my friends or family. I couldn't even tell when we picked him up that they even cut his hair at all. I am trying to make an appointment for my dog for nail trim, was told they only do that by appointment and between 3 and 7pm. Worst part of the day, very disappointed in the lack of consideration, but if I want to pay for additional services and spend more money than they can make it at a different time. This Petsmart doesn't even deserve one star. I walked in with a return in a Petsmart bag and immediately get stopped by an employee. I explained that I had a return and asked where I should take it. Greg said "Give me your receipt." Umm slightly off-putting. Maybe try "Oh, okay, do you have your receipt? I can help you." So I fumble around the bag and come up receipt-less. I say, "Shoot! (and yes, I really didn't swear, I gave it up for Lent) My mom asked me to return this and I thought the receipt was in here." Greg, "Our policy is you have to have the receipt." Me, "um, okay, well is there anyway you can look it up with my credit card?" Greg, "We can't take anything back without a receipt." Me "Well I was just going to exchange these for a different product, can you help me with that?" Greg, "No, I can't help you. It says very clearly on the back of the receipt that you need your receipt for exchanges and returns. My company doesn't like this kind of thing." Me thinking "am I on candid camera?" Me saying really nicely "well, can you give me a district phone number?" Greg, "Fine, follow me." He gives me a long distance number which only is available M-F 9-5. My skittish GSD has his first Pawdicure and they took such great care of him. He speaks a bit of German and they spoke to him in German to calm him. They trimmed his nails, brushed his teeth, and cleaned his ears...then to top it all off they fitted him with a snazzy neck tie. 10/10 recommend. read more

I was furious with pets mart when I left. After waiting 20 minutes with employees seeing I was wanting fish. I helped myself then took fish to check out then lady nonchalantly had to take fish to redo. I was in hurry to pickup son by this time. This grooming is very poor, but they are one of the most expensive in town! ?I request a Shit Tzu cut and got everything but what I very specifically asked for I also them to specifically not cut her tail. Guess - what they trimmed her tail significantly. I discussed in detail with someone who I thought was the groomer. Turns out it wasn't and she didn't take notes. The groomer's name is Mikala (so be sure to avoid her)! When I voiced my dissatisfaction to the groomer, she did everything but roll her eyes. She didn't care about what I said and it wasnt her problem. So do not use this groomer!!!!! Steer clear and find a different salon. Anything would be better than brining your dog here! read more

Got a three fish to add to my already established tank and ended up with ick. Told the fish person and they said "oh it happens". Well my almost $150 of just fish ended up dying during ick treatment. Not including my sponger filter,decor, tank and gravel that will now have the crap on them. I am out ALOT of money, extremely sad because I absolutely loved my fish but also hearing that it just happens and oh well.. you've got to be kidding me. I will not shop here again ever. This place honestly doesn't deserve a star to begin with. I went the pet smart with my bf yesterday and had the worst service I have ever had. We were trying to get some more fish because the day before we bought a tank and didn't think we had enough fish so we were getting more along with a smaller tank for just two fish. We go ask an employee for a fish and she starts going off and saying that you can only have one goldfish to one 30 gallon tank which was very confusing because there were at least 15 goldfish in their one tank that was maybe a 5 gallon tank. We both brushed it off. Then she continued to go off and ask us why were buying them and if we would take care of them. This comment was very disrespectful. I honestly don't think employees should ask a question like that very very rude. After getting everything we get to the check out and about half of the things we were getting were on sale. The cashier checks everything out then gives us the total. My boyfriend politely says "I'm not sure if that's the right total, most of these items were on sale." The cashier proceeds to say " that's only if your are a rewards member." Which was weird because we were their the day before and got items for sale without being a member. So then my bf asks if he can just sign up to be a member then so the items will be on sale. The cashier then sighs and takes all the items out of the bag and asks for his name and email. After my bf repeatedly gave his name and email and phone number we finally got out of that place within an hour which was a ridiculously amount of time wasted. I highly don't recommend this place unless if you want terrible customer service go there and you will get exactly what you want! read more

Grooming is awful. Took my mini Australian to get him trimmed and his teeth brushed. I was quoted 4 hours on a Sunday so 6 o'clock, when they close at 7. & it was Super Bowl Sunday. I get a text at 6:30 and I was across town to rush over, I picked him up and he was so choppy I could cry. I took him home and the next day when I took him back the lady was rude and acted l was bothering them when they just made my dog ugly. I paid $80 and still hate his haircut. I have an older pomeranian who HATES it when I try and even brush him, much less give him a bath. I take him to Barb at Pet Smart Grooming...she is AMAZING! I will never take my dog to Pet Smart again. I live an hour away from the store so making an appointment is very important to me. It took groomers 4 hours to complete the grooming! Why even make an appointment? It wasn't as if I had things to do to kill 4 hours and being "on call" to pick my dog up meant I couldn't drive home if I wanted to. Pet Smart really needs to be smarter about accommodating those with appointments and getting more organized to do so. read more

We've always taken our dog to PetSmart to get her nails cut. There has been several times over the years that I didn't have the paper proof of her shots with me because we just stopped in there if we were in the area. They always put a muzzle on her and cut her nails. My dog had recently had a major surgery the same time her shots were due. Our vet suggested to wait a month on getting her shots until she was recovered from the surgery. I explained to the tech that my dog's shots were not current (only two weeks overdue) and asked if they could just muzzle my dog as usual to get her nails cut. I was told that because I admitted that her shots weren't current, that they wouldn't cut her nails even with a muzzle. It was explained to me that if I would've LIED and told them her shots were current, that they would've taken my word for it, muzzled her, and cut her nails. Really?? That's their policy? read more
