Since my usual groomer didn't have appointments for a month I decided to try somewhere new. I decided paying $85 for a cat groom and bath was better than waiting one month to pay $75. My long-haired Tabby was in desperate need of attention. I yelped local places and found The Pampered Pet had an available appointment so I booked it. The staff was VERY pleasant but unfortunately understaffed. After 3 hours when I was supposed to pick up my cat, I had received a phone call telling me it was going to take another 2 more hours to finish. I understood they were a little backed up during this coronavirus pandemic, things get a little chaotic. However, when I brought my cat back home I noticed the grooming that was done. The cuts done around my cats face aren't even and the trims around her paws are sloppy. I have never seen a cat grooming job so butchered before in person. Needless to say, I will not be a returning customer. read more

Hi! I have an update regarding my missing dog collars . 5 days later they just appeared around my dogs neck! ! They were underneath their jackets and were pushed down. I am still trying to figure it out how I could not see them as I looked carefully. My dogs weigh 15lbs and I cuddle with both of them and I never saw the collars on their necks ... why today? Maybe the angels brought me the collars? . I am still in disbelief someday I pray I will know how they appeared around my little guys necks. I do know I will apologize to the groomers from my heart tomorrow . read more

Ya know I really don't know how people are putting down 5 stars for this place. Atleast the 1 time that I went, it was pretty bad. I show up for appointment and get her set up. Leave her there. They tell me a pretty wild estimation time of about 3 hours. And I'm like oh? Ok? That long? For a short haired dog that didn't need much cleaning while also making a reservation time for her? The time that I went the place looked like a hair bomb hit them. I understand things get messy in that setting but like it was pretty excessive leading all the way out to the lobby. I come back to get my dog. They seriously thought it was a good idea to bring my dog out COMPLETELY covered with other dogs hairs, her leash, her harness, her body was just covered with other dogs hairs. I look visibly disappointed, and I already know in my head as they're bringing her out I'm never coming back to this location again. As I'm walking out of the store I take like 5 steps out the door. And guess what, I can't even make this up. Her entire butt area was COVERED WITH POOP. I bring her back in and I'm like, "yo!! You guys missed a spot here!" And they're like oh oopsy daisy we didn't even see her poop! I said well where is the poop? What if the dog ate it or something?! (I paid extra for a basic tooth cleaning). I asked them to re brush her teeth just in case. They bring out a lil tooth brush to the lobby and do the most half ass cleaning I've ever seen on like a single tooth for like 3 seconds. Which is how I assume the probably brushed her teeth the first time as all of this is happening it's just solidifying the fact that I'm never everrrrr coming back here or referring anyone here. It didn't even seem like she was washed up tbh. They could've just sprayed her with doggy fragrance for all I know and brought her out cuz I couldn't tell the difference that she was even washed up or not. The only reason this place gets 2 stars is because the staff played the part of being "respectful". They're chill people. Oh, and now my dog has fleas. Not sure if it's related to this place washing her or not but yah. This place is a complete NoGo. read more

I called Thursday to request and appt. with Ramon, they got me in Sat 12/24,. I informed them my dog has several areas matted fur. I was quoted 85 over the phone but mentioned it could be more if they need to remove matted fur. I picked up my dog only after one hour and 30 min from time I dropped her off. I was impressed how quickly they finished when to my dismay to find they just shaved her full body and chopped her face uneven. needless to say I will never return. I do not recommend this place!!!! I love Pampered Pet! Charlie is the nicest guy, super knowledgeable and makes my daughter look beautiful and (omg!!!) soooo FLUFFY! She has previous grooming trauma and is scared out of her mind of being groomed. There's only a couple groomers I can take her to where I know she's taken care of (and trust me, she makes it clear when she's not... after a bad grooming service she's stressed and anxious for days!) and Charlie is on that very short, very elite list. He's speedy, his pricing is reasonable and most importantly, he treats the dogs like their his own. My girl is perfectly normal and happy-go-lucky after seeing Charlie which is huge for a dog with trauma. Blondie and I thank you so much, Charlie!! See you next month! read more

Uuuhhhhmazing service! Took my 2 Frenchies to the groomers here for the first time today, the 2 women that greeted my girls were so sweet and the turn around time was very quick. They smelled good, their coat looked good, they even but butter on their nose and paws, where other places charged extra for that service. Definitely found my place to take my girls. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE BY CHARLIE! I decided to try this place being it was around the corner from me. I was a walk-in and didn't have an appointment. He didn't have a spot open, but being that it was my only day off, he took my Maltese/Poodle (Brady). He asked me what kind of haircut and he gave me a few suggestions. I called this morning (3/21/18) and spoke with Charlie. I asked how much it was to have my dogs nails clipped. He advised me it would be x amount. I also asked if i needed to make an appt. or just walk in. He said a walk in is fine. So i arrived 20-30min after we spoke. We walk in and was greeted by Charlie; he quickly grabbed the clippers and clipped away. Litteraly from walk in, to being finished, took about no more than 3-5min. Although my dog was shaking from being nervous, Charlie handled my dog with care. I grabbed my ATM card to pay but was advised that he only takes cash or check. Not having cash on me, I told him that I would have to go to the ATM machine. I offered to leave my driver's license with him but he declined. So I left and dropped off my dog and then went to the ATM machine and returned to pay. I am very happy with the service Charlie provided! Thanks again! read more

Wow!! That's all I can say. They did such a great job on my 2 babies HeMan and SheRa. Both are Lhaso Apso breed and have lots of hair that needs lots of care. Most places I have taken them to look great for a day but look messy again after 2 days but at pampered pet it's been almost a week and they both still look amazing and still smell so good. I would give this place zero stars or minus stars if that were an option. I've been in Riverside over 40 years, and have been to just about every dog groomer in town with my dogs over the years, and I even used to go to this place when Charlie owned it, but these new owners....! Because my dog is 14 and has difficulty standing and because Pawlished Paws seemed to shun us as we both got older and him more difficult with orthopedic issues, I wanted to make sure that my new groomer was open and kind to geriatric dogs such as him, and these people assured me over the phone that, yes, they had years of experience in that area, that they loved working with older dogs, etc., so I made the appointment, and it was quite a struggle getting my poor old dog in the car on a hot day and driving there because as stated, his back legs are not functioning well (again, an issue I discussed clearly before making an appointment), and lo and behold when I show up and carried him in, THEY REFUSED US SERVICE because "he can't stand up long enough." When I became understandably upset asking them why they misrepresented themselves, I was told to "calm down. There's no reason to be upset." Really? Enough said. Don't go there. read more

Yesterday was my first time to see Brittney since Charlie retired. I could not have been more pleased. I felt so very comfortable leaving my dogs there while I went and took care of some other items while I was in town. Misty was there, too, to help out. These girls were so nice and so professional. Charlie groomed our little yorkie today. She was happy when we picked her up and she looked amazing! Next week we will bring our other yorkie. If your dog is frightened to go to your groomer, it's important to listen. Our dogs always looked traumatized by our old groomer. Glad we found this groomer! read more
