I was in the area and remembered that I needed to pick up some cat food for my VERY finicky kitty. After a search in the ol' Yelp app I found Pamper Ur Pets. After having visited a different location in Tribeca I figured they would carry the various brands he would eat and I was right! The store is a bit cramped but that's partly because for such a small store they carry a lot of different brands (mostly for cats and dogs). The owner (or manager) was heavily engaged in a phone conversation when I was there so I cannot really talk about him BUT his two fuzzy assistants were awesome! Both kitties came bouncing over to me as soon as I walked in, with the long haired grey cat (whom I believe is named Princess) really being super sweet. Lots of bunting and she followed me around while her fellow kitty just chilled at the cashier table. If you're in the area and need some food for your pets, Pamper Ur Pets is definitely worth a visit! read more

This pet store is like your unpretentious, comforting friend who likes you no matter what. You can show up at their house in sweatpants with pimple cream on and they're like, I love ya anyway. And then there's the high-maintenance, hoity toity friend down the street named Beasty Feast, who you still have a great time with, but it's all a little too demanding and obnoxious sometimes. At Pamper Ur Pets, you get the best deals in the neighborhood on chews, toys, food, you name it. Plus, you get the personal care of the workers, including Phillip, who offers discounts and even free drop-off at your apartment when he knows you're a loyal customer. I live on 15th street and have attempted to make this my pet store for 7 years. I've probably been here 10 times (due to proximity only at this point) I have literally not had a single good experience. They're either closed when they're supposed to be open, smoking cigarettes inside with the doors closed, pointing me to products that are subpar, telling me they'll order a product week after week and don't. Today was the last straw: I get it, it's raining and you want to go home, but your business hours are open til 8, and your lights are on with the door locked. I called and called and no one answered. I never give negative reviews, but JFC, get it together! This is why people order their pet supplies online. read more

I've been coming here for approximately 3 years. Unfortunately, last march my Terrier was allergic to a product they recommended. I came back to return the ten dollar bag of food. The store owner became belligerent, cursing at me in Arabic, and raising his voice. Needless to say, I was terrified. When I tried to return the product, he explained that the product was "opened" and therefore "un-returnable". The store is very small and cramped, items are priced consistently 20% higher than other name-brand stores, and service is very rude. I felt the need to go there ONLY because it is a neighborhood store and I believe in supporting local businesses. Needless-to-say, I recommend potential clients avoid this store for obvious reasons. read more

Great place. The owner and his employee are very friendly and helpful. I wanted 100% grain free can puppy food from Blue for my Morkie and they did not carry it. The owner placed an order for it and it arrived the very next day. I thanked him for ordering it for me and he stated that anything that I would need and if they did not carry it to let him know and he would order it for me, can't get any better than that. The place where I had purchased my Morkie did not want to place an order for me. Pamper Ur Pets will now have a new regular customer. They really care about their customer's needs. read more

great guys who work there, they're quite helpful. Like many pet stores they deliver and a fairly decent radius as they're in Chelsea and I'm on the lower east side/Cinatown line but they happily come whenever I call. In fact when I call and say " can I get delivery please"? they usually know its me and immediately say "sure " and repeat my address in the form of a question?. I'm not sure that this means that they have very few deliveries to the point that they can recognize the voices of those who call for them or what. One interesting thing happened one day when I was ordering my dog some wet food in the can. Merrick started making a new type that is basically 99% of whatever ingredient you buy, like the chicken is 99% actual chicken instead of filler etc. So the web site listed the flavors that it comes in, Beef, Lamb, Turkey and Chicken My dog is small but she's still a carnivore so I ordered Beef, he said in his semi thick accent that he was out of beef flavor but suggested I try the Lamb instead. I sort of mumbled thinking out loud that i didn't know if my dog liked Lamb, he says " she'll like it, it's TASTY". It took everything in me not to ask how he knew that it was "tasty" but I did appreciate the enthusiasm with which he filled my order. They're always friendly and helpful, just a nice place whether you go in, shop on line, or phone in and have it delivered. read more

I'm very picky about what I feed my cats, but grain-free holistic food can be very costly. I'm so happy that I stumbled upon this pet food store when I was low on food. Great variety of brands and flavors, and the prices are much better than what I had been paying ($.20 - $.40 lower per can -- as much as 25% less!). The owner was really nice and helpful.
