The manager at Pamper Nails is very rude and doesn't communicate with customers in a professional manner especially if there is a problem with the services provided by some nail technicians. Beware of the lack of sanitation at the salon in the use of the manicure/pedicure tools, soaking stones, and pedicure bowls. The full service pedicure is a joke! The no chip bio polish doesn't go on smoothly and when it dries there is always a bumpy surface the peels off within a week. Some technicians don't know how to apply holographic polish to be the same on both hands leaving you with two different colors. The overall service at Pamper Nails is less than desirable! read more

Several reasons to love this little shop. The prices are competitive, and they offer a discount for cash payment. There are cleaning supplies in plain sight and cleanliness is def next to godliness in the nail salon world. I've always gotten in without much of a wait, and the techs do a great job. They have a LOT of no chip color, which is much appreciated. Last time I went, I got a pedicure and a no chip mani. Leticia did a great job and was really fun to chat with. I've never had a no chip last so long, I took it off after three weeks (I should have at about 2 just because of the outgrowth, but I was kind of doing an experiment). There was no lifting whatsoever at three weeks. I definitely recommend her services. The only thing preventing a five star experience is the ambiance..it's nothing fancy and the bathroom is a lil sketch but I hate to nitpick this place. Bonus: you can BYOB. Pamper Nails has been my go to spot for awhile now. I love everything about this place! Their hours are perfect for me personally, the prices are very reasonable and best of all...the quality in my opinion...is the best around. They are always busy on the weekends but at the same time I really haven't had to ever wait for a very long time...if at all. They are always staffed very well with the same friendly folks. They have a great selection of colors both regular as well as no-chip. Their place is always clean. The pedicure chairs for adults and kids (they have the cutest pink butterfly chairs for the little ones to get their pedicures too) are very nice and very comfortable. One tip I recommend is to bring cash for your service as well as tip...they do accept credit cards however if you pay cash (there is a sign in their shop that says this) they'll give you a small percentage off for paying in cash because the machines (which is true for businesses) charge the owners a fee. I guess its a credit card fee the owners get charged. Its a win win in my book...they get to avoid a fee and I get a discount :-) read more

I went here for the first time on Mother's Day with my Mom for a pedicure. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the salon is clean and updated, and the prices fair. I was however just not impressed by the pedicure. It was fine. I just feel like they needed to put in a little more work on my feet. The polish lasted just fine but they didn't do a very good job of getting the dead skin off/working the calluses. The other day I was in need of a no chip manicure and didn't feel like driving far and when I called to ask what brand they use at Pamper Nails, he listed off a lot and said they had "over 200 colors" My Mom and I went back. She was going to get a pedicure and I was getting a no chip. Again, the staff was very friendly, salon was clean etc. First a white girl named Chelsie was doing my nails. She was very nice and could tell she was trying very hard. She was just taking FOREVER, and she was really hurting me. After she finished one hand, the male manager took over and sent her to do a pedicure. He then finished the one hand and applied the no chip. The polish is decent and I have no complaints there. But that evening and the next day 2 nails/cuticles on my hand that Chelsie did were SOOOOO sore. I couldnt even put pressure on them. Then my Mom asked me to look at her toe, there was a HUGE cut where she had cut her on her actual skin, below the cuticle on the big toe! It was so infected she had to start an antibiotic! Got a full set with gel polish, she kept trying to get me to do dip. When I asked for coffin shape she told me it was 5 extra and I didn't have a problem with paying extra. My nails were so short and each nail was a different length and shape, definitely not coffin. Not only did I leave less than thrilled with my nails, 2 days later my index finger got horribly swollen and was throbbing. My finger had gotten infected. I had to have pus drained and was put on antibiotics. Got a recommendation from my local moms group on FB to give the butterfly pedicure and manicure a try for my 5 year old daughter. Adorable chairs. My daughter loves that she got to have a "foot bath" like I do during pedicures rather than just having polish done. We ended up just having the polish on her fingernails since she has no cuticles...that was nice of them to point that out and prevent me from paying more. This review is really late, considering when I went there was for a Valentine's Day manicure they did a great job! I showed them a picture of a particular design I wanted from pinterest and they did a great job replicating it. They were friendly and I have no complaints on the service. The place is very clean too! My only complaint is that at other salons, nail techs. who do a design will seal with a gel top coat instead of a regular top coat. This normal top coat started to peel off in the first week of having this manicure, which was disappointing. But they looked cute for the holiday! I think next time I will ask for the gel top coat myself. read more

If it was possible to give a zero I would. I went in to get a full gel set with no chip, obviously with gel and no chip THEY WOULD NOT CHIP. I been getting the same combo of no chip and gel for many many years my nails would not break. I come here and my nail CHIPS just after a few hours leaving the shop. Fine I go back and get it fixed and the process of fixing it was different when I first got them done. I truly believe they gave me acrylic and fixed my broken nail with gel. It was a whole different process as well. Also when I fixed my nail the nail lady had the audacity to talk shit in front of me with another worker saying it was my fault they broke because they were "too long." I've had longer nails and they didn't break at all and lasted for a month. My nail breaks AGAIN the next day. Two broken nails in less than 48 hours. I will not be returning to this nail shop ever again. read more

I used to really like this place but I've left disappointed several times now. I've never had a bad pedicure, but I'm upset with the manicures I've been getting. It's obvious that they crank clients out as quickly as possible and my nails are a great example of that. They've talked me into no-chip (I understand that it's my own fault for letting myself be talked into it) twice, but then when I come in to have it removed, they don't actually remove all of it. There's still a layer or two on my nails. A few weeks ago I went in for a regular old manicure. They tried to sell me a no chip and I explained that I don't like how weak and brittle my nails are after it's removed. The tech raved about how wonderful this new polish powder is and how great it is for my nails. Well that was total crap because it's basically acrylic. It was extremely thick on my nails and looked and felt like acrylics. So I went in to have it removed and, again, it wasn't completely removed. There's still thick layers of acrylic on my nails that I now have to soak off myself after paying them $21 to do it. Plus, the tech talked to me about how soft and fragile my nails will be after removing it. Interesting that the tech who sold it to me told me how good for my nails it is! I also asked for a regular manicure after the dip removal and she barely trimmed my cuticles at all and literally did zero shaping. I can put my own hands in bags of lotion and do a little buffing myself for free. If you're looking for a basic pedicure or plan to do no-chip all the time, not a bad place. I never get designs or anything like that, but the ones I've seen being done look really great. I just wish they cared about more than just cranking out no-chip manicures. read more

I have been here before a few times and was impressed with the friendliness of the workers and of how nice it looked inside. I got no chip manicures 2 or 3 times and I hadn't been back in a few months until yesterday. I needed a fill for my acrylics and wanted to try a different place than where I had been going. The tech who did my nails was very careless with filing down my nails, especially with my damaged nail (even though I had told him how sensitive it was). So after burning my cuticles on several occasions, he proceeded to do the worst paint job I have ever received. It was uneven and the top coat didn't cover my entire nail so it's part shiny and part flat now. I'm not sure of the tech's name but he seemed to be the only male tech besides Charlie. I won't be returning for a while, and if I do I will request one of the owners. read more

I am unfamiliar with the St. Charles area (my folks just moved there) so I used Yelp to locate a nail salon for a group of us to get our nails done. I chose them because the reviews were pretty good and out of all the nails salons that came up they had the the most reviews and still had a good rating. My entire group however was not impressed. A couple of the people there were really nice and looked to do quality work (not sure what their names were) but the other half of the employees were kinda rude and either inexperienced or just not good at nails. They left the water running on my moms pedicure and it overflowed everywhere...it was kinda funny but also a rookie mistake. Then my sister in laws pedicure was decent but her manicure was a mess! Half-assed job in trimming her cuticles and the paint job was not good at all; she could've done better if she painted her fingers using her toes. My no-chip manicure looks decent but it doesn't look at all like the picture I showed him...Let's see, what else did I experience while there...they were pretty busy but a customer came in and they told told her it would be a long wait and then went ack to what they were doing and ignored her...the lady was like, "uhhh how long?" And they were pretty rude in telling her; as if she was inconveniencing them. Why would you speak to a potential paying customer that way; she could have easily turned around and walked out. The next thing that really bothered me was cleanliness; the reviews I read said it was clean but I beg to differ. The tools were sitting in a sanitizer bag but it was already opened and after she used it on me put it back in the bag and I never saw them get cleaned and put in a fresh bag and go back in the sanitizer and she moved on to the next person right away. The paddle she used on my feet she took out of her tray, used, rinsed then put back in her tray. The guy was cleaning the pedicure bowl next to me with water and a scrub brush...no cleaning solution. Overall I was very disappointed...maybe I'll try #1 Nails across the street next time and see if they live up to their name. read more
