I love Chen she's fabulous. I've been going there for quite a long time. I hurt myself really bad in May and she found me ice packs and even though my nails were drying put them on my neck and back. She's the number one best nail lady I've ever met in my life. And very very kind. And my nails looked beautiful as always. read more

This used to be my favorite and only salon I would go to but after getting my nails done yesterday i left not only being over charged but my acrylics looked awful. They were flat but also had bumps and very poorly presented the shape I asked for. I was the only person in the salon and she was rushing and half assing my nails. I expect my nail tech to take their time and put in effort especially if you're running a business. As someone who struggles with money i will not be wasting it for someone to rush me and file so poorly. I often leave with cuts on my cuticles from the drill file i've been coming here for 3-4 years and will not be returning. read more

While I used to love this place due to quality services (and I overlooked how run-down the interior is), I no longer can even get in here. Literally every time I've visited in the last 2 years, I've been told either 1-there's an hour+ long wait, 2-to "come back later," or 3-if I have an appointment, they'll get me in...it just takes forever. One time in particular was the last straw. I came in for a mani/pedi. In between anything for me, my technician started working on someone else. I mean, put my feet in the water, while I'm sitting there just soaking away for 20 minutes they'd start on someone else's services. Come back, after my first coat, they'd move on to someone else. This went for my manicure as well. The overall process took TWO AND A HALF HOURS. I was livid! I had other errands to run and plans that evening and I had to cancel everything. It was ridiculous. It's really unfortunately because the staff is very efficient and nice, but it's just not worth it to visit anymore. I visited recently for the first time in a while and didn't recognize anyone in the staff -- I was told the old owners still work there but were on vacation. The people who did my services didn't seem friendly and one in particular was just plain rude. They also used the drill thing on my plain nails, perhaps to smooth them out? But it made them SO weak and my nails are weak as is. And apparently it worked: almost every one of my nails broke in the few days following my appointment. They looked ok and they accommodated a design I wanted, but it just wasn't worth the unwelcoming atmosphere. Also noteworthy: the guy who did my manicure went straight from one woman's manicure over to me without washing his hands at all...it just bugged me. Ew. read more

I never really write reviews but felt compelled to for this nail salon. This was my first visit. My mom usually goes here and loves it. She suggested she, my niece & I go for a girls afternoon of manis & pedis. She made a reservation for us. I know typically for places with Walk-ins, reservations can be tough to keep. Which was the case for us. My niece & mom went in for pedis and got in right away. I wanted a no chip mani but ended up having to wait almost 25 minutes. I have to say.....it was well worth the wait. I have never had such a beautifully, pristine, immaculate manicure. I wish I remembered who did my nails because I will be going back for sure. I have previously been to this nail salon and have received average service. However, my visit yesterday was worthy of a one star review. Note: I get no chips every 2-3 weeks at a different salon, this is where I go when I don't have time to get to the usual. I walked in for a no chip. After waiting about 5 minutes, I was seated with someone who began to remove my old no chip. She used the electric sander on my nails, and instead of just hitting the old no chip, my bare nail was also power sanded, which I thought to be damaging. Then my nails were dipped in a nail polish remover bath instead of the usual acetone cotton ball and tin foil wrap, which irritated my cuticles. Then she began to actually work on my cuticles. I was already feeling uncomfortable, and with good reason. She gave me a painful cut on my cuticle, which hurt for 3 days after my treatment. At this point I wished I could have just gotten up and left, but I had an event to go to that night and needed them finished. She then starts applying the bottom clear coat, which looked chunky like the nail polish was old or too empty. After two coats of the no chip was put on, I realized that 2 of my nails were warped and had to be fixed; something that has never happened to me in my 20ish previous no chips. The polish had to be removed and redone. Then when she put the clear polish on top, it was all over my cuticles so it gave me an extremely painful burn when I put my fingers under the UV light. After this happened I told her that I was extremely disappointed in the service and that I was never returning. I left without leaving a tip; also a first for me. Since then the tip of one of my nails broke off completely, and two others have chipped layers. I would never recommend this salon and I will definitely not be back. read more

We just started going here a month ago, so this was our 2nd visit. Julie is the new owner, she bought it 3 months ago. Julie has done my pedicure twice and I will not go anywhere else. My wife has used Dana and Julie's husband Michael. This salon is very clean and doesn't have any kind of odor from the chemicals. The TV is usually turned to some kind of american show or even college football...this is rare for a nail salon. The prices are very competitive. read more

I've been going here for several years and always get a great pedicure!! I do occasionally get a no chip or dip manicure. My last dip manicure was great but my nails grew out so I needed to get the color off . I went to have the powder/polish taken off and Julie was so nice and did not even charge me!! Every one of the staff is very friendly and they really take their time. Their prices are very reasonable. They actually seem to be on the cheaper end compared to some of the other local shops. For seven years my daughter had her nails done at this salon and was quite happy. Unfortunately the owners recently sold the business, and the quality and service are not the same. The new owners and staff do not understand what it means to treat customers with courtesy or respect, and the quality of service has gone from great to poor. We will not be back. read more

She is so extremely detailed on cuticles and conscientious on doing an amazing job. I have gone here MANY times...since they changed owners things have been a little lower quality but I have been a loyal customer. After my pedicure todayI don't think I will be back for a while. I came in the afternoon and had a bad experience. The bright nail polish that I picked out was painted all over my nails and skin and the usual service and treatment that I get did not happen tonight. I'm super disappointed and now need to find a new place to get my nails repainted this week. I am not one to complain but can't believe that I had to pay for the service (or lack there of) that I received this afternoon! read more

My daughter and I have been going to #1 Nails for a couple of years now. Recently, the owner, Camden sold this business and we decided to continue to have our nails done here. Last week, we had a no-chip manicure done. My nails are cracking in the middle of the nail beds and the no-chip polish is chipping off. They used an electric sander type machine on my nails and I believe they ruined them. My nails as well as my daughter's nails are so weak they are breaking. I recall when the girl used this sander on my nails, it was so hot I had to pull my hand away from her a couple of times. That should have been a red flag. Never again will we use this nail shop again. The better business bureau needs to step in. read more

I recently went with my daughter to this nail salon for a manicure and a pedicure. They are under new management but as I had always been pleased with the services before I expected it to be good this time. Wrong! My nails look awful because they are different lengths. She cut my toe and it felt like sandpaper was taking the skin off of my foot. She put oil in my legs but didn't remember to take off the excess. Another thing she did was laugh and say something in another language that my daughter and I could not understand. Needless to say they lost two customers. read more

I have gone to this salon for 6 years and had fabulous service! The nail salon was recently sold to a new owner! I have gel nails and one of the new technician's could not tell if they were gel or acrylic, when she was using the electric sander down she ended up nicking a part of my natural nail bed resulting in pain and blood! Her way of repairing it was to put more acrylic gel to it to rather than a new tip! I promptly told her that this was not going to work! The manager stepped in to finish the work! After. Getting home the next day I could see that the gel was put on sloppily as well as the nail polish! Mind you I never used nail polish before since Camden & tren (previous owners) did a nice thick coat consistently and no need to cover up the natural loo!k! I also find it rude when they speak the entire time to each other in their language the major portion of the visit! Sorry.....so done here! read more
