I had an experience yesterday at this center that bears commenting on. Positively, the pre op area was very cold and the nurses gave me blankets while I waited for 40 minutes for an operating room to open up while in a gown. And my surgeon was stellar. Less positively, I had told a nurse that I had several bad experiences with an IV placement on my arm on the past where I got heavily bruised after no success in finding a vein. She did it anyway, resulting in a big extensive bruise and no vein found. The inner arm area I requested was then tried and worked instantly. Why not listen to a patient who knows her body? Also, I was fully awake despite the IV anesthesia during an eye procedure, feeling everything. I tried waving to the nurse, afraid to verbalize this while the surgeon was operating on my eye. Also, they do not contact the patient with a surgery time until the morning before the surgery. I called three times that week as I and the person driving me had to plan the drive and time spent there as well as needing to know as you can't eat or drink for 8 hours prior. However, were very efficient in calling me and contacting me prior to surgery with the amount I would owe when I arrived. read more

I had cataract surgery here with Dr. Saini. I was so scared about the procedure but the surgical team really made me feel a lot calmer.
