Been using these guys since 2020. They are fast, reliable, courteous and very reasonably priced. They also did a replacement of our metal backflow cage and gave us a great deal on that as well. Jeff's very honest and straight forward. I texted him pictures of a 1990 Backflow preventer that was dripping/leaking. He said it would need to be replaced and recommended a plumber. Ballpark Pricing he quoted for potential repair (before looking at the pictures) was the most reasonable. Similarly ballpark pricing for what it should cost to replace is also very reasonable. My annual backflow test failed. Called around for quotes and found Palomar on yelp. Worked with Jeffery on what my options are and got quotes for each. The prices were affordable & reasonable compared to other competitors so I booked an appointment. Don showed up on time and was super friendly and professional. He kept me up to date on his progress and what he was trying to do to repair it. In the end the device had to be replaced. The whole appointment took about an hour. Outstanding service and very fair pricing. I tried to repair the backflow system myself without success. They listened to what I did and offered to coach me on other things to try. Instead I watched them inspect the valve and recommend the solution. They showed me a very small imperfection on the relief valve face plate. They came back the next day and replaced the relief valve face plate and that stopped the leak. Some of the best customer service I've seen in a while. read more

Fast professional service. I called because I received a notice from Rincon Water to have my water meter tested and was referred to Palomar Backflow by my neighbor. They sent someone out the same day I called. The technician was friendly and courteous enough to explain the purpose of the test and why it's important for homeowners. A major factor I went with them is their price for service...I called a couple other companies and they were charging significantly more for a 5 minute job. Our main water pipe was leaking and we had to shut off the main valve in order to stop the leak. In this emergency situation with not having a water for a day we were lucky enough to get the name of your company From our neighbor. We called and within two hours they sent us of one their technicians. Art, was the expert plummer who knew exactly what to do. He assured us that he will find out the source of the leak , fix and restore water the same day. He started right away and dugouts two feet of dirts to get to the underground pipes. He replaced the bad pipes with new sturdy material and worked for hours to finish his job perfectly. He is by far one of the best Plumbers we have ever seen and his knowledge and professionalism was superb. We highly recommend this company for excellent service along with very reasonable price. I called Palomar Backflow after finding a threatening disconnect notice from Rincon Water on my front door, saying I had to hand deliver test results to their office within days to avoid interruption in my water service and a $88 restoration fee. Robin was so pleasant and helpful, not only to schedule for Jeff to do the testing in a timely fashion, but she also offered to call Julia at Rincon Water to have my address removed from their shutoff list in the mean time based on the fact that the test was scheduled with Palomar Backflow. As it turned out, I never had to hand-deliver the test results to Rincon Water and all is good. To avoid future threatening disconnect notices from Rincon Water I asked Robin to automatically schedule my address for annual backflow testing with Palomar Backflow, which she was happy to do. Their price is reasonable and their service is top notch, so that's one less thing for me to have to stay on top of each year. read more

I've used Palomar Backflow for 4 out of the last 5 years. I actually called a different company last year ($5 cheaper) but our test failed. I called Palomar and they retested our system and all that was needed was to exercise the valve a couple times and the pressure came back to normal. Don at Palomar was very helpful and explained exactly what he was doing and how the whole system works. He even showed me how to release the stagnant water built up in the system (which also tests the fire bell). I will now use Palomar every year and highly recommend them. Thx guys!!! read more

Called Palomar Backflow to perform the water district mandated test for our backflow assembly on our commercial building. Our business had called on Palomar (Jeff/owner) previously to fix a leaking backflow assy issue at that time...they did a quick fix/adjustment---and didn't even charge us for their call due to a minor fix. So, when we had to have this test performed, we called them back out to take care of it. In summary, their customer service was top-notch, very knowledgeable and they fixed and took care of our repair and testing issues at a reasonable cost. The past two years we did not comply right away with the letter from our water district giving us 30 days to have our backflow tested, it got to the point we were getting threatened to get our water shut off- stupid on our part for not just taking care of it. However both times I called Palomar Backflow and they sent someone out that day did the tests and took care of the communication with the water district to let them know it was taken care of.
