I have to say, I was walking around Hayes Valley and happened upon this boutique. It is carefully curated with books, knick-knacks, t-shirts, beanies, etc. He sells Japanese workwear and handcrafted leather goods. It has a very special motif. It's for hipsters and it can be pricey. It's also kitschy because he had some funny preppy books(see pics). The store is called "Paloma." Did you go to elementary school with "Paloma"? lol. In order to write a legitimate Yelp review(and not a window-shopping review), I bought a card for $5. See pic. It says "Let's get stoned!" haha. This is a fun store. The man who owns it runs it himself. It's fun to browse.

Cute little shop in the Outer Richmond. Lots of handmade leather goods and imported housewares. Great for unique gifts.

Was looking for a way to refresh my Birkenstocks. I found Odsy and it was $190 for two pairs ($95…read moreeach) which is the price of a new pair but being a sentimental person and not wanting my shoes to end in the landfill, I did a refresh. It took me 5months to pick it up because I coming from San Jose couldn't make the time to go but I was finally able to and Mr. Odsy himself told me that you can ship the shoes to him and vice versa for $10 about to San Jose, all you need to do is call to arrange! That's so sick and modern. I'm definitely gonna be back for more worn pairs.

The worst of them 'lost' my shoes and were unapologetic about it. So after I bought some really expensive leather shoes at Community Thrift (love them!) for a couple of bucks that needed stretching, new soles and some love I decided to try out the place with the 5 star Yelp review ...Odsy. I called them and described what I wanted. After talking it was clear the work was not gonna be cheap, but considering I bought the shoes for a song seemed like a decent bet. Well wow they delivered!! Odsy gave them all of the love for what, in the end, I would say was a very fair price considering the quality of the work. Turn around was about a week which I thought was pretty fast. If you have some nice shoes that need some help I absolutely recommend this place. Oh yeah..and they are super lovely people. :)

I've been looking for a gothic style store for a while... sadly, most of SF 'gothic' like stuff is…read moremore fetishwear. Disapointing anyways, this store has some 'designer' level clothing at varying prices that very wildly. Buying a 100 dollar pair of somewhat gothic style pants, the original owner guy I purchased from was kind of cool. we chatted things up, he kind of gave me some pointers for sf fashion spots, talked to me about some of the other items around the shop (including a 1000 dollar concealable leather pouch). I usually like to give things time... evaluate places before sticking with them... so opting to wait on anything else... I make a trip to japan (where I purchased another gothic style pants from the yellow house... which were even more disappointing that Ceiba. Details are in the review I made for them). Also, mind you, both pants are elastic and the material is a little thick, they were both very comfortable. after coming back, I had to get both pants repaired. the ceiba pants I've had to have repaired twice (but it still has more damage on it that I haven't gotten repaired. the pockets are falling apart for one) now while the japanese yellow house pants I've had to have repaired 3 times now. It's rare that I need to have my clothes repaired... mostly its seams coming undone and I can usually fix those myself.... usually... but these were more that the fabric was giving out. the seams were strong but the pants were fraying or giving out around the seams. I cant just sew that back in. I've gone to Ceiba twice to try to talk to them about the material, the pants, repairs... and just to find solutions. the first time for them to give me advice on to handle it myself... and the second time, after SEVERAL times having to pay to get them fixed, to see if maybe the item was just bad or something and finding more vendor and patron solutions. both times it was a woman this time and both times she could not help. I do not recommend people come here for clothes, its a nice name place to show off a bit and pretend to be more socioeconomically established but little more than that.
