Was looking for a way to refresh my Birkenstocks. I found Odsy and it was $190 for two pairs ($95 each) which is the price of a new pair but being a sentimental person and not wanting my shoes to end in the landfill, I did a refresh. It took me 5months to pick it up because I coming from San Jose couldn't make the time to go but I was finally able to and Mr. Odsy himself told me that you can ship the shoes to him and vice versa for $10 about to San Jose, all you need to do is call to arrange! That's so sick and modern. I'm definitely gonna be back for more worn pairs. read more

Over the years I have patronized a lot of cobblers in this city ...with very mixed results. The best of them were just fine but nothing stellar. The worst of them 'lost' my shoes and were unapologetic about it. So after I bought some really expensive leather shoes at Community Thrift (love them!) for a couple of bucks that needed stretching, new soles and some love I decided to try out the place with the 5 star Yelp review ...Odsy. I called them and described what I wanted. After talking it was clear the work was not gonna be cheap, but considering I bought the shoes for a song seemed like a decent bet. Well wow they delivered!! Odsy gave them all of the love for what, in the end, I would say was a very fair price considering the quality of the work. Turn around was about a week which I thought was pretty fast. If you have some nice shoes that need some help I absolutely recommend this place. Oh yeah..and they are super lovely people. :) read more

I highly recommend this service! I gave him a challenging ripped suede bag to fix, and he did a great job. Even though it broke again soon after, I was able to bring it back and he fixed it on the spot free of charge. He is very skilled! I will certainly come back here! read more

After reading some reviews I went to Odsy Workshop seeking help with fixing my fave Henri Bendel backpack that is not only stylish and convenient in daily use but is special to me as it was Mothers' Day gift from my son some years back. Was very happy with the result of the work and became regular customer of the shop read more

You know how it's nice to enter a small business where the owner is happy & eager to help the customer?... well this is not it. I drove out of my way 15 mins to the Sunset to give them a chance. Not worth the trip for me. Told me my boots couldn't be resoled. then I asked for a polish- told me he couldn't polish same day. Then asked about sewing work- told me he sews but didn't do sewing jobs. Kinda not very helpful. read more

Brought in two pairs of Louboutins. One pair needed standard sole work. The brown pair was in really bad shape and I honestly thought they were done. He restored both beautifully. The brown pair looks dramatically better and fully wearable again. Solid craftsmanship you do not see much anymore. If you care about your shoes and do not want to replace them, this guy is the real deal. I will definitely be back. read more

Certainly there is no need for another 5 star review for Odsy, but I am so happy with the work he did on my belt. Did you know how difficult it is to find a shop that works on belts?! I actually brought him 2, but he was honest that one could not be done without the fabric piece that was on the outside, which I appreciated knowing. The one he did fix he did a gorgeous job on, plus the shop is very cute, a little oasis in the tumult of the neighborhood. Parking is really tricky here, take public transportation if you can, but I will continue to support this lovely small business! read more

Update: The staff reached out to me and apologized. He also fixed my shoes. Thank you, yelp!

One of the best and honest shoe repair place in the City! Brought shoes that were not salvageable and they were honest about it. Highly recommend it! read more

Great work, expedited service. Excellent job on the shoe repair. What a great place!

Excellent service and workmanship. Highly recommend this repair shop for shoes. Also conditioned and cleaned my Gucci disco purse.

I had a great experience with Odsy repairing my kid's favorite sneakers. Some of the stitching had come undone and Odsy was able to restitch them next day and at a very affordable price. Will definitely come back when we need shoe repair! read more

Fantastic work. I have already brought them a second pair to fix. Easy to deal with and good prices.

Highly, highly recommend this place to get work done on leather boots. I brought in my beat-up Thorogoods for a new leather welt and full resole. The quality of work done is incredible, especially at a very reasonable price point. The boots look fantastic and will be good for years to come. I will 100% be coming back here in the future when my other boots need work done! read more

Very expensive for the cost of repair. More expensive than the value of the shoes itself. Qualify of repair is average. Business hours for this place doesn't work well for me. read more

Top-notch work done at the Odsy Workshop. I've now had 3 pair of boots and shoes brought back to life and looking new. The turnaround was timely (do plan ahead though) and the work is excellent. Parking has also been easy in the neighborhood. read more

Odsy is the best. It had been a few years since my last visit. I brought a beloved pair of Birkenstocks to be resoled and then got back what feels like a new pair of sandals! They replaced my well worn sole and then filled in worn areas the cork! I also brought in a tote bag that TUMI had deemed needed a new zipper because they said the zipper teeth was crooked. Nope. All that was needed was a new slider. So grateful to know this business exists! read more

I needed my pair of birkenstocks resoled and found this place came highly recommended. The reviews check out - this shop is great! They resoled the bottoms beautifully and even fixed up some of the worn away cork. Easy in, easy out, the pricing was extremely reasonable and the wait took about a week. They do take card which was convenient. Thanks again for fixing up my birks, I'll be back! read more

I dropped off 4 pairs of shoes. Heels needed to be fixed, elastic band on sling backs needed to be replaced, one flip flop broke, and one pair of red bottom heels needed to be revived. The most impressive fix of all is the Red bottoms I dropped off. They were REALLY beat up, I was literally going to throw them away, but I took a chance after looking up several places online. Guys, to say that I am impressed is an understatement. I couldn't stop staring at them on the way home. I also really appreciate and respect the owner's honesty. He told me what was possible instead of setting unrealistic expectations; I wanted the shiny leather replaced on my heels, but he told me it was patented so it's not to be possible. Anyway, I just picked up my 4 pairs of shoes and dropped off my black Louis Vuitton Epi Leather Neverfull purse to have the handles repaired. (Yes! They even repair purses!! :) The handles cracked on the sides, so I wanted that fixed. Fingers crossed that it'll go perfectly like my shoes did! Oh! I also dropped off a pair of red bottom flats to have the sole taken care of. I bought them along with me for the pickup -thinking that I would turn them in if the heels would have turned out nice, which of course they did! :) Long story short, I have found my go-to place for all my leather good repairs - whether it be purses or shoes. Don't sleep on this place! They're really good and they get busy!! I don't know if they do rush jobs because I'm never in a rush for my repairs, but judging by how busy they can get, I would suggest expecting at least a week turnaround. read more

Brought some heels here to fix after my dog chewed them up. Said the best he could do was this patch job where he just glued another piece of leather on the shoe without making any attempt at blending it in. This is pretty much as good as useless. Who is gonna walk around wearing Versace heels with this botched patch job? On top of that it took weeks for them to do this repair. Giving an extra star because I feel bad that this is a small business but overall work looked sloppy and lazy to me. read more

I brought four pairs of shoes to Jin to rework - AE wingtips & loafers, Blundstone boots, and a pair of women's leather sandals. Jin was communicative, helpful, and does excellent work. I needed a specific pair for a wedding and he was able to rush it so I would have it, even though he had almost a 100 pairs of shoes to work on before mine. It was very considerate of him. He resoled my AE wingtips and added rubber half-soles, and also added rubber half-soles onto my AE loafers. Great craftsmanship and attention to detail. I had deep scratches in my Blundstones. He was able to buff it out a little bit and then conditioned my boots to a really nice dark grey. He was unable to repair the women's leather sandal straps correctly unless a ton more work was to be done. He communicated this clearly and asked before he continued. We ultimately decided not to repair the sandals, and we were not charged for the pre-work from Jin. Again, very nice of him to assess the situation. When I came to pick up, he answered all my questions about how to maintain my shoes with the correct creams and lotions - what to use and what not to use and why. Super helpful. They also have a texting system to notify you that your shoes are done. We live almost an hour away from Odsy, and I will be coming back with all my leather needs in the future. Also, as a beginner hobbyist in leatherworking myself, I'd love to see more of what Odsy has to offer beyond shoes. read more

For the person looking for this specific review as was I: yes they know and will do your Rick Owens no problem. My Rick Owens ramones were pretty ran through, there was enough heel drag that the sole was completely gone and exposing holes into the mid-sole. So I brought it in and we agreed on putting a new sole, reconditioning the leather, and also restoring the scratched toe caps. Came out amazing! The leather looks great, the toecaps look new with correct paint matching and the mid-sole/sole repair is perfect. The mid-sole was filled out to compensate what was worn and the new vibram soles are a closer color to Rick Owens "Milk" instead of being a pastey white. read more

Somehow, a metal lace hook broke on my pair of expensive hiking boots. I contacted customer service at the boot manufacturer for their advice, with no success. I took the boot to my neighborhood shoe repair shop, and that guy was dismissive and rude. Bewildering! My third attempt was the charm. Stopped by Odsy on Irving Street, and Soonjin repaired it immediately. The new lace hook doesn 't look the same--of course not--but it is the same size and he was able to rivet it on and hand the boot back to my while I waited. And $10 he charged is very reasonable. So, excellent service, excellent quality, excellent value. read more

This is the place to come if you need any shoe repairs. Smart and honest folks run this shop. I wish I could give it more than five stars.

Exceptional quality of work and customer service! Very creative approach. Very pleasant owner.

My to go place for any leather repair. Dropped off my beat up leather bag which needed some stitching repair and a pair of sandals that needed repolishing (it wasn't done right at another place). Both came back looking amazing. You can just tell Jin is very passionate about his work and a true craftsman! Prices are on par with the rest of the shoe repair places. read more

Great craftsmanship -- had my golf bag straps repaired twice. Not only did they repair and reinforce the original, they made the stitching/fabric match the original colors so you can't even tell it was repaired. I had a Cuyana purse that the strap broke on (during vacation, super fun) and after contacting a few leather/shoe repair shops, I'd given up hope that someone could manage what I thought was a simple fix. Luckily I came across all of the great reviews on Odsy and after sending them a photo of the damage, they send they should be able to fix it and I brought it in. I just picked up the purse today and I couldn't be happier - it's a nice leather bag so it would have been terrible to get rid of it, and now the strap looks brand new (with additional reinforcements so it doesn't happen again). I was also expecting to pay a good portion of the cost of a new bag, but it was just $20! I'll definitely return if I have any other leather repair needs. read more

Pretty honest work, 120$ for a redwing resole. Did not have the foresight to take a before photo, but my previous soles were GROUND up. Jin was honest with me, he said I might have one more resole in these boots. The stitching near the toe is fraying so there was glue involved in this resole. read more

I started using an old wallet once belonging to my grandfather. He never used it, actually, so it was essentially new. However, the stitching was as old as the wallet (probably 60 years) so it began to deteriorate fairly quickly. I just sort of let it do its thing for a while until basically I was walking around with a deconstructed wallet. So I brought it here, and bam, good as new. They had to amend a few matching leather pieces to it unfortunately, as the existing flaps were fairly frayed, but it looks great and is functional once more. Great quality and price! I'm very happy with the experience. read more

This place is the best! I first came to Odsy to have a vintage Harajuku bag's straps repaired. Jin fixed the bag, made it look brand new. Jin and his wife both sell their own handmade wares varying from beautiful leather products, some pottery, aprons face masks etc. I ordered a Navy blue men's watch band to be worn as a bracelet. I love it! The quality is beyond what I was expecting. The day I went in to pick up my bag and order the watch band, my husband and I spent some time talking to Jin. This man truly loves what he is doing and it was a really pleasure to meet someone who took the time to engage with his customers. This place is great for shoe repairs and bag repairs, he also recommended some jewelers to help me with my bracelet. This is the kind of business I love to support, thanks Jin! read more
