Food was delicious and the service was great. It was dark by the time we were sat so unfortunately we couldn't see much of the scenery.

We had breakfast here one morning while staying at the overpriced hotel. Service was super friendly and attentive. Like all hotel restaurants this place is on the pricey side with entrees in the $25 range. My wife had two poached eggs which came with 4 slices of toast, meat (she got sausage) and breakfast potatoes-a ton of food and I got a toasted bagel (wonder bread style) with cream cheese. Nothing special but with two small OJ the bill was $40 pre-tip; not a great value but since we didn't want to head off property that's what to expect.

Supposed to be Huevos Rancheros... but... it's really a random quesadilla with an egg placed on top. Tasted decent and sauce and beans good but just not Huevos Rancheros!

Food is delicious and so are the views from the patio, service is pretty average most days but on our last breakfast visit Leticia was our server and she was very sweet and attentive.

Enjoyed dinner last night with my wife. Good service, Eddie was cordial and on top of some of the recent changes. Food was tasty...I had the steelhead trout and my wife had the brazed short ribs...nice size portions so I got a bit of both. Food settings were tasteful and complimentary. Overall nice experience. I have added a picture of our chocolate desert and yes you can eat the pansies.

Squash & Smoked Chili fritters with honey, cherry peppers, and green onions

My husband and I came here during Restaurant Week because of their unique menu. We loved driving up the winding drive to get to the restaurant - the hotel grounds are beautiful. The restaurant inside was beautiful as well, although it seemed outdated. When we arrived, the dining room was empty. When we left, about an hour later, it was packed. Our waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable. We asked several questions about the menu and our waiter was able to answer every question. For appetizers, I ordered the squash and smoked chili fritters and my husband ordered the corn and rock shrimp chowder. The fritters were amazing - they were a little spicy but they melted in my mouth. My husband loved his soup. For my entrée, I ordered the chicken - it came with tumbleweed dumplings and a simple sauce. The chicken itself was extremely tender and flavorful. Normally, I wouldn't order a chicken dish, but the waiter talked it up and was right on the money. I would order it again. My husband ordered the bison bistro steak. The steak wasn't anything special. My husband kept stealing bites of my chicken, since he thought it was much better! For dessert, I ordered the Cowboy S'mores. Oh. My. God. It was amazing. It was a dark chocolate cake, chocolate pudding, and toasted marshmallow in a mason jar. Then there was a cinnamon/graham cookie bar on the side for dipping. My husband ordered the huckleberry pie. It was huge and he was unable to finish it. Granted, I couldn't finish mine either, but I tried. It was that good. Overall, we had a great experience. The food was amazing. The staff was friendly and attentive. I'd definitely come back.

We're certainly glad we did. Confluence offers a beautiful outdoor patio for dining, while the interior is intimate, with only six to eight tables and a small bar. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with warmth and character--you can definitely tell there's a thoughtful touch behind every detail. We were greeted by our bartender and server, Victoria, who also happens to be the co-owner. She was absolutely wonderful. Even though the restaurant was busy, she made us feel like we were her only guests. As we talked with her, we learned how she and her husband, Chef Brandon, are the entire operation and work seamlessly together to create an exceptional dining experience. The menu is intentionally small, but that's because every dish is prepared fresh to order. Chef Brandon's attention to detail is evident in every plate. The presentation is beautiful, and the complex, well-balanced flavor profiles showcase his culinary talent. We highly recommend the Gazpacho--it was outstanding. As former restaurant owners ourselves, we were especially impressed by how this husband-and-wife team consistently delivers such an exceptional level of food quality, hospitality, atmosphere, and overall uniqueness with such a small operation. Their teamwork and dedication are truly something to admire. If you're visiting the Carefree or Cave Creek area, make it a point to dine at Confluence. We don't think you'll be disappointed. One final tip: To ensure they can maintain the highest standards of food and service, they intentionally limit the number of guests they serve each evening. Reservations are strongly recommended, especially during the busy season.

We were looking for an authentic saloon experience, and Harold's Corral seemed like the perfect fit. We came on a Wednesday evening and were seated in a booth. The place was already bustling, and there was live music that night, which made the whole atmosphere feel really lively and fun. We each enjoyed a bottle of sarsaparilla and a prime rib dinner, which was the special of the night. The food was decent, but honestly, the vibe was the real highlight for me. They have live bull riding on Wednesday and Friday evenings, which sounded really cool. We were pretty wiped out and still had an hour of driving ahead of us, so we didn't stay for that part, but it definitely made me want to come back another time. If I'm ever in the area again, I'd love to return on a Friday night to check out the children's mutton riding competition, which I heard is especially cute.
