Carnitas Ensalada. I had spread out the carnitas in the pic, so what you see is all there was (nothing more underneath it).
    Nat S.

I really wanted to like this, but for the price point it fell short. While the food seemed fresh and the flavor of the carnitas was good that wasn't enough to really make this a four or five star experience for me. I ordered through DD as I usually do for lunch at work. When it arrived I was surprised at how heavy the box of food felt. Well, it was heavy because it was a TON of lettuce. And not even a mix of lettuce. It was iceberg and A LOT of it. The next thing I noticed was the tiny amount of carnitas. And the tiny amount of everything else. There was a tiny amount of chopped cucumber, and teeny, tiny pieces of seasoned tofu in a tiny pile (which I paid $2.95 extra for), an ok amount of avocado ($1.95 extra) and then a pretty large amount of pickled onion, and a pretty large amount of (I believe) a mixture of chopped red onion and cabbage. It really felt like they use the inexpensive veggies to make it look and feel big. The other items were barely enough to mix in with all of that lettuce to make it even substantial enough to not be overwhelmed by all of that lettuce and pickled onion. It was a meal of mostly filler. Also, while the carnitas had a good flavor it was so incredibly dry. I actually ordered a side of the carnitas to use for dinner and I am glad I did, because I was able to add some of that to my salad to make it a little less iceberg lettuce heavy. And with a good dose of dressing it helped with the dryness. If the price were less then maybe I would recommend this, but to pay that much and just get an abundance of iceberg lettuce was not worth it. The other weird thing is, I had looked at this place many months ago and the reviews actually stated that they skimped on the meat, etc. Oddly enough, those reviews are no longer showing so I'm not sure what happened there. But those past reviews had made me hesitant to order from them months ago and the reviews now made me give it a try, which I wish I hadn't done.

Unfortunately with my usual order this time, I found a white piece of plastic which is so disappointing. :(

First time ordering at this restaurant. I ordered the carnitas mixto bowl with palmito mole. It's healthy and the flavor is great.

The food is great! Will be ordering again in the future. The portion is just right. It's healthy and the flavor is great.

I have to start off by saying I have not visited this place but ordered several times from them. I used Uber Eats for delivery and everything went well. I also referred a client there and he did visit the location in San Jose. He loved the food as I did. You got to like it to keep ordering right? He said service was good and adequate lighting. I had the Tofu mixto bowl each time and my husband had the chicken . Extra Tofu for me but I'm not a vegetarian. I will be trying out more of the food here. The food arrived still very warm with delivery. This is now one of my favorite places for healthy meals delivered fast so go check them out

Sip Happens... and So Does a Solid Taco Night…read more My husband, daughter, and I were in the mood to shake things up with margaritas somewhere new, and our daughter pointed us toward Copita Tequileria y Comida. As we cruised by looking for parking, it was clear we had picked a lively spot--buzzing energy everywhere: inside, outside, and even upstairs. We were quickly seated indoors, though on such a beautiful day we assumed we'd be offered outdoor seating. No big deal--we asked, and they happily moved us to a shaded table with plenty of space. Much better. Drinks were first on the agenda: margaritas and a michelada, all refreshing and exactly what we were hoping for. Our server, Michelle, was friendly, attentive, and even shared some helpful tips about perks with our American Express Platinum Card--a nice, unexpected touch. We kicked things off with queso fundido, though a brief mix-up brought us chips and guacamole from another table first. Once we pointed it out, it was quickly handled--but honestly, it looked so good we ended up ordering it anyway. No regrets there--it definitely hit the spot. We hadn't planned on a full dinner, so we went with lighter bites. The tuna tostadas and halibut ceviche were a hit--fresh, flavorful, and perfect for sharing. I went with the tortilla soup, which was good and nicely presented... but didn't quite wow me. I've been on a bit of a tortilla soup tour lately, and this one leaned a little heavy on the tortillas (soaking up too much broth) and had more zucchini than I expected. That said, major points for serving it piping hot--something a lot of places miss--and the avocado was a great addition. One thing worth noting: I didn't catch it until later, but there's a 4% living wage surcharge added to the bill--and it's taxed. That caught me off guard, and I'm still not entirely sure how that works in California. Overall, a fun, energetic spot with great drinks, tasty bites, and solid service. Not perfect, but definitely good enough to come back for another round.

The Good: * A small private lot, as well as street parking, is available. * Reservations via their website * Outdoor, dog-friendly seating * Great bar program with signature cocktails and a nice selection of local brews on tap * Small, curated menu that changes seasonally * Great service from our server, Jayleen * Costillas de Elote (aka corn ribs) may seem like a nothing dish, but man, it was bursting with flavor and was one of the (many) highlights of the night * The Carne en su Jugo was a great riff on a classic French cassoulet, but with a Mexi kick in flavor * I couldn't resist the Duck Mole dish, as it featured two of my favorite foods in one savory and delicious plate. The confit duck leg was fantastic and fell off the bone, and the sweet and savory chocolate mole was the perfect foil. However, to me, the unheralded star of the dish was the fried masa brick, done up like a classic potato pavé, which deserves a special shoutout * For dessert, their rendition of Tres Leches cake was fantastic! The crispy turulete (corn-based cookie) on top gave a nice crunch to go along with the sweet cake, and the tart notes from the green apples really tied it all together for a complex and delicious dessert The Meh: * Happy Hour (Wed-Sat, 5 p.m.-6:30 p.m., and all day on Sun) menu and drinks are limited to the bar area only * Only open for dinner * As many have noted, the neighborhood is a little sus, but honestly, it's not that bad. Just lock your car (as you should everywhere these days), and you'll be fine--I promise The Ugly: * The number of people I know--or have seen online--who hate on elevated Mexican cuisine is kinda crazy. As if only French or American cuisines are allowed to be fancy--it's honestly a bunch of bullshit. If anything, LUNA has shown for years now that it can be done, and Acopio continues in that vein Conclusion: I had high expectations coming in, and Acopio met or exceeded every one of them. I'm a bit surprised they haven't received a nod from the Michelin Guide yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if one is in the works at some point in the future. Highly recommended.

Enjoyed our chilaquiles (do try this if you stop by), and were wrapping up our meal with the empanada when we discovered a chunk of fuzzy blue grey mold in the MIDDLE of the empanada about 1" in length and 3/8" wide. The empanada was already cut in half and wasn't showing from the outside or the cut area, but the mold was in one half of the empanada and I broke the other half which was normal looking. Thankfully we spit it out, and didn't eat the bite that we took. The waitress had offered to replace it but we said no because we were so shocked. We were so intrigued by California Wet Burrito that we came back to try it for dinner. Since I remembered that the restaurant had an outdoor patio, I was hoping that it would be OK to bring our dog. The staff members didn't tell us to leave, so I guess safe to say that their patio is dog-friendly. The patio area had a lot of seats, and I was feeling the hanging florals and greenery. The restaurant reminded me a lot of a beach cafe with it's laid-back vibe. The staff members were great. Very friendly and helpful. Their menu was much bigger than I expected as it included non-wet burrito items including your typical mission burritos, burrito bowls, nachos, tacos, tortas, etc. My husband had to customize one of the orders for his dad who had dietary restrictions, so he had a million questions to ask and held up the line. The lady taking his order was so patient with him and didn't rush the process. Our food came out really quickly, and we were served at our table. My husband, father-in-law, and I unanimously agreed that our food was 10 out of 10. My husband and I shared a carne asada San Diego wet burrito with enchilada sauce and chipotle sauce. They actually had several sauces to choose from, so you could mix and match. It was hands down the best wet burrito I've had in San Jose. The burrito was flavorful and yet not overly salty, and I loved how the French fries were extra crispy. My father-in-law had his custom burrito, and he said it was the best burrito he had ever had. The portions are well-balanced, and the outdoor space is very comfortable for savoring your meal. The only thing I would suggest is that they shouldn't ration the salsa portions. I asked for more, and they gave it to me without any issue, but I think they should supply more from the start. I'll have to come back to try more of their varied menu.
