I don't remember what Gong Cha used to be. I want to say that it was Telus, but the store can't tell us if I'm right... haha. Anyway, this store is located at SmartCentres Stouffville. It's across from Canadian Tire. This bubble tea store is between a dental clinic and Subway. I have never had a problem finding a parking spot around here. I walked into Gong Cha. I was the only customer. There was a nice man who said hi. He wasn't all that chatty, but was competent and pleasant. I immediately saw croffles on the menu. I love them. I knew that I wanted one. Before walking into the store, I noticed the daily specials. The Thursday special is the honeydew milk tea. It seemed perfect. I ordered a medium, with no sugar and less ice. I also got coconut jelly. The payment machine was sluggish. The man had to reboot it. Once it was done rebooting, I was able to pay with my debit card. I tapped and all went well. He made my bubble tea first. It looked so cheerful. It was green with coconut jelly. I waited patiently for my croffle. He made it in the kitchen area, away from the bubble tea preparation area. I could smell yumminess. I was excited and quietly drooling. I went with a regular croffle with a light dusting of sugar. I like starting simple to begin with. It was packed in a recyclable box. I loved it. I thanked the man for everything and happily walked out with my goodies. In my car, I immediately had the croffle. It came on a stick, which made eating this crispy, hot-off-the-waffle-griddle perfect. It was buttery, flaky, and yummy. It was slightly sweet, which I thoroughly appreciated. I loved it. I want more! I had my honeydew milk tea after dinner as a dessert treat. It was delicious. Honeydew is slightly sweet to begin with. Going with no sugar worked well, especially with the added coconut jelly. The milk made it creamy. This drink truly felt like a dessert drink to me, minus the sugar high. It may be my new favourite bubble tea variety. Whitchurch-Stouffville has lacked a bubble tea joint for years. It's nice that it finally has a decent one. I'll be back for more bubble tea and croffles. It also has waffles that I'd love to try, too. (457)

Service was very fast but staff was not the most friendly, which is fine haha…read more We ordered a pearl milk tea and overall the drink was overly milky and we could not taste any tea. Perhaps if it was steeped a bit longer maybe. The tapioca was a bit undercooked and hard unlike other places but not a deal breaker.

A hidden gem for Asian noodles and rice in Stouffville! Located in a small plaza, Hey Moo Moo is a…read morenoodle bar that also serves rice and boba for good prices. We arrived around 1pm on a Saturday and it was quite busy (most/all tables occupied) but no wait. We ordered the tender beef ramen in pork broth and beef slices rice noodles in shoyu broth. The pork broth was quite good and creamy, but the shoyu broth was a bit salty. The tender need pieces were also not very tender and while the beef slices were very tasty, they were more peppery than expected. The rice noodles were also a bit overcooked but overall flavour of both bowls were good. Service is also exceptional - friendly and helpful despite there only being one waiter to attend all tables. Overall, 7/10 would come again. Definitely a staple in Stouffville!

I went for lunch and upon entering the restaurant I couldn't help but fall in love with their decor. They have a modern and chill vibe going on but a couple of their walls are full of sticky notes from guests! I feel like that adds so much personality to the place! They also have a claw machine, which I'm going to have to try next time! The only other note to the restaurant is that they don't have too many seats. I feel like they could fill up very easily. The service was also really good! There was only one person there that was waiting tables as well as the front counter, however, he was an all star! He was super friendly, quick, and checked up on my table on a regular basis. The food is what really floored me! The gyoza is seriously some of the best gyoza I've ever had! The outside had a delicate crunch to them while the insides were soft, juicy, and flavorful! I honestly can't believe they were so good. I also got pork broth ramen with tender beef and rice noodles. The pork broth was super creamy and perfectly seasoned. I drank all of it! The tender beef was soft and delicious. The menu recommended trying rice noodles, which is what I got, however, I think next time I'm going to have to get ramen noodles. The rice noodles were good but I missed ramen noodles a bit. Overall, I was super impressed with Hey Moo Moo! The restaurant has wonderful personality, while the food was absolutely amazing! Next time I go I think I will have to try their drinks!

KALE BOOST TEA - 9.99 + normal ice + light sugar + jasmine green tea + with chia seed I was hesitant to order this drink because paying for a vegetable-based tea sounded questionable, but my cousin insisted it was refreshing. Surprisingly, there was none of the bitterness I expected from kale, and it paired really well with the jasmine green tea. I loved the chia seeds topping, and hopefully it will help with my bowel movements after all the heavy foods I've been eating this past week. My cousin ordered the limited tiramisu milk tea, which HEYTEA is currently offering in collaboration with Pop Mart. We expected it to be fun, but it ended up being fun AND genuinely good. The coffee notes blended nicely with the milk tea, and it wasn't overly sweet or heavy. Overall, this was a solid stop, and I'm glad I got to enjoy something light and refreshing after stuffing myself with dim sum nearby.

I was craving my usual from Bourbon St. Grill and hit the food court. While heading downstairs after walking through mall entrance 3, I saw this Chicha San Chen store. I flagged it for a visit. After having a satisfying, casual meal at the food court, I returned to the second floor and walked over here to check out the drinks. It was almost as if this store knew that I like fruit and sparkling drinks. I saw a sign that said I could get two sparkling fruit drinks for $10. Three words: Sign me up! I got Kinson at the ordering area. He was great stepping me through everything. I let him know that this promotion interested me. He asked if I wanted one of each fruit flavour. Yes! My order consisted of the following: - Sparkling orange - Sparkling peach Each drink contains fruit, sparkling water, and konjac. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and I was done. He let me know that it wouldn't take long for my drinks to be made. The wait time wasn't much. The seating area had just cleared, so I could take photos of the branded throw pillows, various decorated bear figures holding tea cups in slings, and a wall celebrating a hundred years of tea love. It's my kind of tea joint. I stood next to looseleaf teas in mini containers. I smelled a number of them as I waited. They were so fragrant that I didn't want to leave! I love smelling these teas: - Cassia black - Dong ding oolong - Green - Black - Osmanthus oolong - High mountain pouchong My drinks came in one size. It seemed to be the case for all drinks on the menu. I like that you can customize your drink. There's a menu that steps you through it, from the type of tea that you want brewed, to the flavours and toppings that you want in it. If you find this method to be too complicated, it does have popular teas that are already configured, so you don't have to. I liked that I didn't have to fuss with my order. It was exactly what I wanted. My receipt had a number on it. Their system has an automated voice that calls out your order number. it was a nice change of pace. I could clearly hear my order number called out. I'm sure staff were happy to save their vocal cords, too. My drinks were on the counter. You can help yourself to a tray, which I did. My drinks looked good. What I should have done was sipped both before walking to my car. This place was so generous with the pour that my drinks were topped to the brim. One of my drinks did spill out a bit as I was about to go through the doors. Oops. I stopped to sip both of them. I was good! I got to my car and safely put my drinks down in my caddy. Just from sipping them, I loved the flavours so much. The orange one had slices of orange and chewy konjac. It was slightly sweet and fizzy. It was cheerful to drink. I had the orange slices, minus the peel, of course. Yum! The peach drink was equally as awesome. It was bubbly, with generous chunks of peach and konjac. It was fruity and chewy. So good! Both were so refreshing on a hot July evening. I'm glad that I got two drinks. I enjoyed my first two drinks from this tea place. I'll be back for more! (301)

It's located in a plaza that I frequent here and there. I like the Shoppers Drug Mart. Occasionally, I'll hit the No Frills, which this bubble tea store is closer to. A Yelp experience drew my attention to this business. The owner there recognized me from her first location, Hana's Tea, in Richmond Hill. It didn't cross my mind that Hana's Tea and Hana's Roulettea are owned by this woman until she explicitly made the connection for me. Well, I know now! It was nice that she recognized me. I was a regular customer getting macarons and a tea on Tuesdays in Richmond Hill for weeks last year. I brought the former into the office the following day. The latter was for my immediately consumption and happiness. There's lot of parking in this plaza. I have never had any issues finding a parking spot. I got these items at the Yelp experience: - Peachy peach tea - Yuzu macaron I like fizzy ade drinks. This place has them. I also like the fruit teas. I settled for the peachy peach tea. I got it with 30% sugar and regular ice. I didn't want yakult on top, but you can add it if that's your thing. I loved my peachy peach tea. It was cold and yummy with the popping peach boba. I loved the ripe peach taste. It hit the spot on a 34-degree Celsius day. I have been a fan of Hana's macarons since the beginning. The yuzu had a nice citrusy flavour. The macaron shells were crispy and chewy where they should be. It was nice to enjoy one again. The menus are similar at both locations. The chicken gyoza are on the menu. They are awesome! There were tables to sit down, and enjoy your food and drink, similar to the other location. This place feels more spacious and relaxed. I am thrilled that this location exists. As much as I love Hana's Tea in Richmond Hill, this location is so much closer to me. Last Tuesday, I returned to get six macarons: - Salted caramel - Royal milk tea - Mango I brought them to work to share. They were a hit. Staff were friendly the two times that I have dropped by. I'll be back for more. (280)
