This location is pretty large, they do all the manicures in the front and then have a huge back area with a row of pedicure chairs... They were probably 5 to 8 chairs. This is a great spot for a group of friends to get their nails done together Since they're able to accommodate so many customers. I paid through ClassPass, but of course took a look at their pricing menu and everything is very well priced. I am pretty specific about my nail shape and how I like them painted and the woman who did my nails was super understanding and made sure that I was happy with the finished product. Needless to say, I'll definitely be back!! So happy classpass helped me find this spot. I've been very satisfied with the results, and the system of bringing my own polish has been great and economical, though I still walk out paying $80 for a regular mani and pedi. Today they decided to charge me $5 to use my own polish. And the owner, Helen, insisted bc it's "a different process" - even though it still consists of a base coat, lacquer, and top coat, the same as a regular manicure. There is no difference! This was a poor excuse to squeeze more money out of me. Instead of valuing the local customers in this Battery Park neighborhood, this salon chooses to lose customers over $5. I will not be returning solely bc the owner is extremely greedy and does not care about customer loyalty. Also, she's always reprimanding her employees in front of customers, so it wasn't a pleasant and relaxing environment to be in anyways. Gel removal takes 1 whole hour, and I tell the nail tech that I can have my natural nails cut down, which is supposed to be $10 on top of $15 gel removal (per the owner's words to the nail tech in Chinese). When the owner rang me up, what should have been $25 was $35 before tax and tip. The nail shaping is terrible (asked for almond and she left me with uneven edges and some of them pointy). I didn't notice this or the leftover residue on my nails as I had to hurry out the door. Will never return, stay away or you will have to pay for mediocre service.
