Pretty good experience at this restaurant located off Westheimer and Briar Ridge (close to House of Pies). Parking lot has ample spaces so I'll start there. We went on a Saturday evening for dinner with a decently large party (6 adults, 4 children). The restaurant is pretty roomy. Quick hint: if you're using Google Maps, map it to the restaurant's name. I typed in the address and it took me to a house a few hundred feet away from the actual restaurant. Weird. The breadsticks that were served before we ordered were quite good and even better when they are hot. I ordered a Pasta Palazzo for me - very generous portions and I enjoyed the flavor. It wasn't mind-blowing though. The meatball pizza that was shared family style was also really good - better than expected. The meatballs are sliced thin so at first I thought it was a pepperoni pizza when I took my first bite. I would order it again. Service was pretty good. Overall it was a good experience. I believe most items on the menu will serve you well. Keep in mind the delivery service can get overwhelmed with orders so best to order around the peak hour rush if you're considering delivery or take out. The half prize Monday wine bottle special is also a major plus for those looking to maximize value. The restaurant is divided into 2 sections with the addition of an outdoor patio. I prefer the Briarforest location. I wasn't served seasoned olive oil to go with my bread. The bread was good though. I ordered angel hair pasta with marinara sauce. Something was off with the sauce. I can't tell what. I thought I'd get a spoon for my pasta. But the waitress didn't come by again for a while for me to ask for one. There was no one visible on the back room of the restaurant where I sat. But I did manage to twirl the pasta on my fork. When waitress came, I asked for a box to go and the bill. Palazzo's doesn't have pasta with marinara sauce on the lunch menu. They only list the one with meatballs. The lunch pasta with no meat costs $16. That's too much. read more

Well, I hope instead, spreading the word will inspire a diverse population to come enjoy their food. I have to admit, I've been dragged to this restaurant time and time again by my significant other & the experience is always the same. Yes, it's awkwardly positioned in a strip mall. Yes, staff will file in and out in rapid succession fulfilling the numerous go orders, and yes, the company who dine in the restaurant (in my opinion) are not very diverse- I, a 29 year old, 4'11", natural hair wearing black woman ALWAYS stand out in age & color...not to mention I'm occasionally gawked at by their patrons. On the other hand, from dining at this location for years, I stand by 3 items: 1. The free bread & seasoned oil prior to your meal. When fresh it's truly heavenly 2. The veal Ragu. It's delicious, flavorful, and surprisingly lighter than you'd expect 3. Well guess what Palazo's? I noticed. When I ordered my chicken marsala last night and you delivered it to me with no sauce and maybe one fucking mushroom on top. REALLY?!?!?? The marsala sauce is the main part of the dish dumb dumbs. And it's the only fucking vegetable on the dish. And you gave me one. Fucking one. It's already a cheap dish. It's just some fucking chicken that you pounded out thinly. And you're so cheap and shitty that you couldn't give me a few more fucking mushrooms? Yum yum yummy everything!!! Love the salad full of tomato and cucumber pieces, onions, olives, feta, and dressing. Bread and dipping oil is a little different than most Italian places- flat bread pieces and the herbs and oil very tasty. Pasta Palazzo always good and chicken parm has perfect amount of sauce and cheese on tender chicken breast with creamy fettuccine Alfredo. AND the service can't be beat. The bf requested Chicken Fetuccine for some reason one evening and I was browsing through UberEats for the best Italian places that deliver using the app. It's so hard to find a good Italian place in Houston, but I decided on Palazzo's cause of the reviews and the photos of the food. The UberEats delivery was slightly delayed due to the restaurant, but it wasn't by much. We were actually really pleasantly surprised by the food once it arrived. The portion sizes were good, the meals were packaged nicely, and they were decently priced. The pastas came with a side salad and some bread. The side salad was pretty delicious - the greens were fresh and crispy, the flavors/dressing/toppings were evenly portioned so the ratios were spot on, and it was overall just fresh and tasty. The garlic bread we added to the order was flavorful with lots of sprinkled parmesan on top. The bread the pasta came with was chewy and soft - great for dipping and sopping up all the sauce! The pastas were cooked al dente (perfect!), even for a to-go order. The noodles tasted fresh and/or made from scratch. The chicken on the fettuccine was moist and flavorful - the sauce was rich and creamy. The bf, who is a picky eater, devoured the dish quick. My veal ragu had chunks of meat in it and the flavors of the sauce was developed and well seasoned. I can't believe we hit such a jackpot with an UberEats order - we will definitely order again! But even more so, I can't wait to try the dishes fresh at the restaurant itself. We'll be visiting shortly! read more

This is based off service alone. A little back story. I am house sitting for someone down the street and my mom and I needed to pass some time. We planned on getting some wine and an appetizer as we weren't starving and wanted to try some place new. We showed up dressed casual since we had been running errands which was probably our first mistake. Off the bat our waiter Emmanuel seemed extremely unhappy taking care of us. I overcompensated on "thank you's" because of how uncomfortable he made me. I felt like because we weren't ordering meals nor did we look our best we were just an inconvenience. I did not say anything to my mother because neither of us would ever complain about something like this. I'm only writing this because she mentioned as well his cold behavior. Everyone has bad days and I hope that's all it was but he couldn't even mutter a simple "you're welcome". We got 2 glasses of wine and the tomato caprese. I tipped 20%. My sister was a server for 4 years so my family and I ALWAYS tip well! Don't judge people based off their appearance. Other than that the food was great. PS the young waitress taking care of the couple next to us was extremely sweet and asking how everything was and constantly asking if she could get them anything else. This is my 2nd time coming here for lunch and I know I will be back a 3rd time. You get a bread basket and some olive oil. Both visits I recall asking for a second basket of bread because of how soft it was. On this particular visit, I was juggling between two plates: Lite Pasta or Chicken Piccata. Both plates come with chicken. You get a house salad or sub a caesar salad (for 95 cents more) I got the caeser. Nice portion and a generous amount of cheese. My coworker ordered the Lite Pasta, which looked really good, but I ended up ordering the Chicken Piccata. Good stuff! Has a tangy taste and I love me some capers and artichokes. Very good size for lunch, and I still took a bit of it home. It doesn't come with a whole piece of chicken breast. There are some pieces of chicken in there, but not a full serving like I have seen at other restaurants. If I had to guess, i would say maybe about 3-4 oz worth of chicken. Again, this was off the lunch menu so I would imagine the dinner portion would be larger. Did get my fix of artichoke though! Lots of big chunks on the plate. Price - Reasonable in my opinion. About 15 bucks for the lunch entree which includes a salad. I got caeser salad which was another $1. I ordered water as my beverage. Not cheap, but not overly expensive like other lunch spots around the area. Service - Great service. Was checked on at a great frequency and food came out quickly and steaming hot. Only complaint is not being told about the upcharge for getting a caeser salad instead of house salad. It's just .95 cents more, but still... Overall, I give this place about 3.9, rounding up to 4. This is solely judging this place on lunch. Seeing as I work nearby and crave Italian food at times, I would come back here. read more

They are getting the two stars for the taste if the food. Their uncleanliness and unwillingness to make right what they did wrong, is why they aren't getting 5 stars. They served my food to another customer. After the other customer's child sneezed and coughed on the plate, the manager picks up the plate and brings it to the back. Seconds later, here it comes out of the kitchen like its somehow been sanitized by entering the kitchen. I ask if that is the same player they just gave the other lady, it is. The waitress giggles and says "yeah, let me go have them make you another, they told me to bring this out to you." In less than 3 minutes, another plate magically appears, when it took them 15 to get it prepared before, and all of a sudden this is brand new again. At the end of dinner, they provide the family who was served the wrong plate 50% off of their meal, while they charge full price to the customer who's food was given to another customer, contaminated, and then lied to about it being remade. At first. I thought, wow, what a great new place to eat at... after my 1st experience with them, I doubt I will ever return based on the crappy service provided. But the food is great!!! read more

They have a great lunch menu with plenty of options for veal, chicken, meat, and vegetarian dishes. My party of four had nothing but compliments for the dishes we received. We all got something different, so you really can't go wrong. Note, you can sub your entree's salad for a soup. (Toasty tomato basil on a chilly day? Yes please!) Also, A++ for the garlic bread & olive oil!! --It takes a lot of self control to refrain from emptying the basket! Service is pleasant and timely, which makes this a great choice for work lunches. I came here on a weeknight and found the restaurant to be pleasantly surprising. The food was good, atmosphere casual, prices reasonable, service good as well. I ordered the lasagna and penne stefano. I personally liked the lasagna better, but it's more about which flavor you prefer. The penne is definitely a creamy option, while lasagna is full of tart marinara and yummy ground beef. Both were good to me, but I just prefer lasagna always over most dishes. Each entree came with a simple side salad with their house dressing, similar to balsamic, and had lettuce, red onion, crumbled feta cheese?, crutons, and a few diced tomatoes. Portions were a good size, so I will consider this an alternate to go to, next time I'm in the mood for italian. Will have to try the desserts when I return. They had about 8 different ones, most of which were homemade like the banana carrot cake, or chocolate mousse pie. read more

5 stars on the amazing food but I'm still waiting on my Togo order and as I looked up I saw one of the young ladies in the back picked the napkin that was covering a basket of bread and took one and was eating it. I advised the manager and she went and talked to her. No ma'am not from the food you are serving your guest with, now if you was hungry then take it from what you don't have prepared to serve guest with.
