Let's try this local place Always catches my attention when driving in the morning to work...so ya day is the day. I asked server for the special menu and she suggested me one item out of the menu called ranchero pork... pictured here before was gone Pork was seared outside and juicy and tender, sides were delicious I even enjoyed the garnished pickles They offered regular BBQ plates and sandwiches that I will try soon In the meantime, sharing this great local find...

This location used to be known as Hitching Post, an old Miami BBQ spot that I'm sure had been around before the 20 years when I'd come here for lunch from the coworkers at my first job. It used to be low slung and dimly lit. I tried going a few years back, and the greasy smell drove me away. Fast forward two weeks back, and I see it renamed to its current name and a "New Ownership" sign, so I decided to give it a try. I saw actual smoke as I came in which is a good sign at a BBQ spot. Architecturally, the space is more open with a bar in the center and better lighting. I walked in before the dinner rush, and was pleasantly greeted, having the restaurant mostly to myself. (People did start arriving as I left.) The menu is meat eater heaven, with combo plates of ribs and chicken, or ribs, chicken and ham. They also serve burgers. My dinner appetite was a little more measured so I started with a potato skin appetizer. I like the fact they're done with slices of real cheese, fresh green onions along with a nice sprinkling of bacon. Next up was their bbq half chicken. A big bird (I couldn't finish!) and I like that their base sauce is sweet BBQ. Baked beans are tasty, as is the corn on the cob. I could have done without the sprinkled cheese and more butter on the corn but I'll just be more specific next time. I definitely plan to come back for their desserts (and maybe a smaller main course).

I live so close to Paladar Okeechobee ribs but somehow it took me years to decide to give it a try. My husband and I went on a Saturday for lunch. We decided to sit outside. I had pulled pork, BBQ chicken with mashed potatoes and cole slaw. My husband had brisket with pulled pork with cole slaw. We ordered the Mac and cheese to share. The Mac and cheese was delicious. The brisket was tender and smokey. The BBQ left us satisfied enough to decide to order for Father's Day for ten people. For the catered order we had brisket, cole slaw, yuca, and corn. The BBQ was a hit at our small get together. However, the cole slaw was very watery the second time around and not as good. The pricing for ten was great. Overall I'd give it 3.5

I know this place for more than 20 years when I used to work at Hialeah and at least one a month on Fridays we went for lunch, was the best pull pork and ribs ever . This time I was hungry and pass by and want to remember the old times. When I open the door I was impressed with the new layout, a bar in the middle look very cozy. We order chicken wings as appetizer, ribs and BBQ pull pork as dinner. They bring the food first and when we asked for the wings? The waitress said that the wings take longer to cook than the food. How can be possible bring the dinner before the appetizer? I never understood. And the wings taste bad, 6 wings 8.99$ almost same price is you order the dinner plate. Bottom line food was Ok. Never come back I prefer the old time old country restaurant with exquisite ribs than a fancy modern like now.

Great food and great service super recommended. We had a family meal for two which fed three of us. The meat falls right off the ribs.

Came by for a quick dinner with the family. We received great service and delicious food. The food came out looking presentable and tasted very fresh. For appetizers we got mozzarella sticks , came out super fast and the cheese was soft and melting and ah so yummy! We tried churrasco and ribs combo, cooked to order. And the sauce for the churrasco was very flavorful. I had been here before many years ago and definitely has new owners . The whole place feels open and homey at the same time. It has TVs to watch sports , and nice trendy music playing . We will definitely be back! (Sorry guys no pics... once I tried the food I couldn't stop eating)

Great food and service! Not crow and the waiting time for the food was worth it. Even though the place from outside does not look to placent, is very familiar and cozy.

Great place if you want some BBQ for lunch. The place is small and the service is good. The prices are a little higher than most places.

The food was good but my credit card was lifted by someone on the staff and used about 4 times before my cc company shut it down.

We made a reservation prior to coming because in order to make it inside you need to book a reservation. The establishment is small which is why you have to reserve. We came at around 10:45 and our reservation was for 11:00. They sat us down right away. The vibes are chill and cool, there's a dj playing music. It was like house, tech vibes. The music was great and people were enjoying their time. We had 1 cocktail each and went on our way because we just came to check out the spot honestly. I had the fabulous martini which has a purple hue to it, it was very refreshing. I love that they garnish it with a lavender. The espresso martini was made with Don Julio Reposado, and had real fresh espresso as per the menu. It was good but a bit strong too! We had asked for an extra shot of espresso on the side just as a pick me up. But our server told us that it comes cold, which is odd because the menu literally says freshly brewed espresso in the cocktail description. It was fine though, we still enjoyed the drinks. Overall, our experience was nice! If you are ever in the Hialeah area, you should totally check this spot out. They also have bites you can order but we were full from dinner and didn't get a chance to try anything. Definitely have to come back to try some more cocktails and grab some bites!

You enter an immersive world that really outshines any tiki bar to which I've ever been. The magic radiates out of every nook and cranny. That was complimented by our bartender, Billy, knocking out some perfect killer classics, like a real Mai Tai, and Navy Grog, that, post the 1950s became kind of sugar filled, over-the-top mockeries of the Tiki cocktail arts. No mockery here. Just the old school magic. It's a very analog, and thankfully honest, unhipster revival for a generation who knows not of Bali Hai, Don the Beachcomber, the Mai Kai, and San Francisco's once-great, now seedy Tonga Room & Hurricane Bar, at the Fairmont Hotel, on Nob Hill. The crowd, including the regulars, were a lot of fun. In all, a really awesome evening! Five stars, for all of that, and a sixth for the memories.
