"That's a GREAT cup of coffee!"…read more Love when we're on the road and find another excellent coffee stop along the way. (Driving from Houston, TX to Taos, NM for a week) Hubs is over here gushing about what a fantastic morning it's been, part because of the adventure of a new place and lower humidity, but also, this is a GREAT cup of coffee! Drive thru is hopping on a late Saturday morning, plenty of parking outside and seating inside. Ordered the usual (decaf flat white, heavy cream) and it came out HOT and quickly. That first sip is like heaven on earth. Hot. Creamy. Coffee forward. They've got the ratios just right and this is a splendid beverage. Friendly staff inside, wishing us a great day as we left - felt very genuine and kind. We'll bookmark this place for the return trip(s). A bit far to become regular customers here, but definitely worth the detour off I40 for a local spot!

While visiting Amarillo, I wanted to try a few local coffee shops while working remotely. Located…read morenear the Medi Park area was Strata Coffee Bar, a catch all spot that functions as a coffee shop, bar, and brunch location. When I walked in, the place was absolutely packed with TTUHSC or TTU Vet Med students who were celebrating finishing their final classes for the year. It was quite busy with a large line in front of me, and since I was staying for a while, I was not in a rush. I ordered a lavender latte, and after waiting just over 15 minutes behind the gaggle of people who ordered before me, my hot beverage was ready. I really liked the cup they served it in. It had a cute mountain gradient with their logo on top. The coffee itself was pretty good. It was not anything groundbreaking, but I enjoyed it for what it was. Having to briefly hop on a call with my boss, I went out to their small outdoor patio and took the call. It was also a pretty decent spot for getting some work done. They serve a ton of different options, and it is probably a popular stop for people in the surrounding medical district to get a quick coffee boost. There were also plenty of people drinking beers and mimosas when I came in, celebrating their semester coming to a close at 9:30 in the morning, so good for them. You love a catch all spot. Minuses: my iced mocha tasted somehow scorched and grainy, and the whipped cream didn't have that magical Starbucks flavor. Server wasn't super personable and the drive-thru pickup window area (not the window/platform itself, but surrounding area) was dirty and greasy. Wouldn't visit this one again.

Very tasty and well proportioned. Secondly, I'd say off the breakfast menu the biscuits and jalapeño bacon. I opted for a few eggs and a sausage patty for the review of course. For a local yokel establishment it was great for lunch and alright for breakfast. A bit high on the breakfast at $24.00. And to boot they were going to throw a glass of milk out that a patron did not want and I said I'd take it vs throwing it away lol still charged me the $4 for a glass of milk that was about to go down the drain.
