Yummy coffee and amazing baristas were the highlight of Palace. With a large selection of various coffees, this place has everything you could need or want in a cup of coffee. Passing through Amarillo I searched high and low for a good pour over and landed on Palace Coffee. The vibe of this place is amazing. I ordered the Honduras and even while I waited for my drink to be made the baristas held a conversation while working on other drinks. They were overall incredibly personable and I enjoyed talking about coffee, their own story, and more, all in the 10 minutes I was in the cafe. The coffee tasted phenomenal. Every last drop had the exact notes the barista mentioned and I was thoroughly impressed. I've yet to try the espresso but if it is in-line with the quality of the pour over I had, my hopes are high. read more

Born in Amarillo but left to live in Austin for a while -- visited home for the summer and I have to say that I absolutely love Palace Coffee. I'm happy this location opened up as well! Just as great as the downtown location. Love the vibes the place gives, and the baristas are great and friendly people. It reminds me of Austin and its chill hipster-ish atmosphere. I ordered the vanilla almond milk latte, a drink I always get at a number of coffee shops and in my opinion Palace makes it the best. Really smooth and creamy, the flavors were absolutely perfect and well balanced! The baristas are super friendly so I have no doubt if you have a specific drink you like they'd have no problem making/customizing it for you. I could spend all day here if I could--great place to study as well, there's plenty of outlets! Overall, great location, great vibes, great drinks and great people. My boyfriend knows all things coffee and Palace did not disappoint. He got an Ethiopian pour over of some sort.. I have no idea, but he really enjoyed it. I'm not a coffee drinker, but ordered the iced honey badger (as recommended by the barista) and it was so good. Sweet and smooth! The coffee have a little bit of a weird taste to it. I really didn't like it at all. My husband said he liked it. And bought two bags. With each bag of coffee you bye you get a free cup of coffee. I cannot rave enough about this place, I always make the effort to stop by if I know it's on the way. I love their vibe, their coffee, and their pastries! My favorite pastry is the apple turnover, so delicious, I definitely recommend it to anyone hungry. Then the coffee, you can make and add whatever you want. They have their own roastry and their coffee is some of the best I have tasted, they have a good variety. My boyfriend who is a coffee shop snob, even loves this place and always wants to visit here and Biti Pies when coming to visit. I even bought him a t-shirt for Palace Coffee because of how obsessed he is with him. It's a good place to work, sit, and chill. They obviously supply free wifi and have a variety of seating options. I loved the drink selection- I had the caramel macchiato, golden chai and black lavender tea, all delicious and wonderfully made. I shared the sweet bread and a blueberry bagel with cream cheese with a friend. My one complaint is the manager on staff at the time Mallory. I forgot to wear my mask to reorder my second drink, her tone was completely inappropriate, I told her I was sorry and went back to get my mask. I went to use the bathroom and the handicap toilet wasn't working and I tried to fix it, and was unable to fix it. I went to wash my hands and they were out of paper towels, I proceeded to the bar without a mask because I went to the bathroom and did not see where it was posted I needed to wear a mask, and she told me to wait while she was fixing drinks, I see paper towels at the sink and barely stepped a foot in the bar to get paper towels as she left me there with wet dripping hands.... and she yelled at me to get out of the bar area which I didn't step into, I just reached for paper towels and she proceeds to yell at me again in front of other customers and I tell her I haven't stepped in her bar, I just grabbed some paper towels to dry my hands so I could put a mask on. She stormed off to stock the bathroom with paper towels only and did not fix the nonfunctional handicap toilet. Her rudeness was completely unacceptable and uncalled for, as a manager she should know not to treat paying customers like that. She could have handled this situation completely different. As for Chris, he was very kind, patient, and understanding and should be the manager. I would like someone to contact me, so I know that this issue has been addressed and appropriate action has been taken. There is a nice way to handle customers!!!! read more

She got my Drink order exactly right and then even remembered my name. I know that some people that are regulars at establishments feel like the staff should remember their name but I feel like that is slightly unreasonable. Excellent coffee! My husband and I try stop by as many local coffee places as we can. This turned out to be one of our favorites! I had a hot lavender almond milk latte, and he had an vanilla almond milk latte. Both were delicious. The espresso used to make these was perfect. It didn't leave a burnt taste like a lot of coffee shop's espresso beverages do. We didn't get to enjoy the cafe though, but it looked nice! The guy who helped was extremely helpful! We are driving through Amarillo from SC all the way back to AZ. Needed coffee this morning and saw this local coffee shop. My husband and I love trying local coffees. This place is delicious. I got the Honey Badger over ice with cold brew, a brewed coffee, a bagel with cream cheese for the kids, and two apple empanadas. Everything was really good. My honey badger is like...perfect. The barista at the cash register was incredibly sweet! He was patient with me while I decided on what to order, and suggested things similar to what I get at other coffee places. I ended up getting the Ethiopian Brew with a bit of coconut milk and vanilla syrup. The manager I believe introduced herself to me as I was pouring the coconut milk and told me to let her know if needed my coffee topped off at any point.
