We made a reservation for the Plano location. The day of , I woke up with a cold. Rather than attending while coughing and sneezing all over, I figured I shouldn't ruin others experience and should stay home. We called the location and let them know I was ill and wanted to know if we can reschedule. They informed us to email them but the email response from the franchise owners was just "Please refer to the cancellation policy". I tried replying with our situation but they didn't respond and now there wasn't enough time to make it to the reservation even sick. I've had great success with the McKinney location but I'd say it's way worth it to avoid the Plano one and go to a different nearby location. Don't expect any customer support. read more

The staff and instructors are always so nice and welcoming, and honestly the time flies by so quickly during class because you're so concentrated on your painting and enjoying your time and wine :) This was my first time visited the Plano location which sears near market street and Nordstrom rack, which is convenient. I forgot to write a review after my party, but I definitely had a few drinks during this. And because I waited so long I forgot my instructor's name, but she was so fun and lovely! I had planned a painting birthday party for myself, cause I realized I hadn't ever treated myself to a birthday party! Talking with the events coordinator was very easy, they were always responding to my emails in a timely manner. I had food catered by Mendocino Farms (forgot to take pictures!!) but they found the place without issue and delivered it. It was a blast, and I love drunk painting. My group had decided prior to go off the rails and paint in Kevin the Cat somewhere in our paintings near the end. So everyone's canvas has a different blob kitty. There's good and bad. My daughter and I had a fabulous time with Jenn. The manager's rude tone and poor customer service cast a dark shadow over the experience. And this is the reason for the rating. Here's the good: -Clean environment -Prepared. Jenn, the instructor, had all materials ready and waiting for us -Punctual Jenn was friendly, genuine and led the class with confidence in our ability to paint. Jenn was amazing and I highly recommend her as an instructor. Here's the bad: -Inflexible on time. We left the studio with unfinished artwork (details such as mouth, nostril and stars). In all of my previous experiences at a Painting with a Twist, this is the first time that I was told to leave before completing the painting. Manager said it was to set up for the next class. I've been to other locations and the employees have been super patient and willing to go over a little so that we could finish our painting. I can tell you stories of their kindness but this review is not about other locations. And in case you are wondering, we were back in our car 11 minutes after class time ended -Manager. I have nothing nice to say so I will not say anything at all. You may have a different experience All in all, if you haven't tried Painting with a Twist, I highly recommend the company. We came in a group of 13, and they reserved a whole table for us! The people here were very understanding and helpful. Our friends got engaged here and the staff were very supportive and helpful in organizing and managing us. They were compliant and cooperative. We all reserved online, and the prices of the class is determined by the date and time. My particular class was $35, you bring your own snacks and wine as you wish. They provide the canvas, paint, brushes, apron, and the class with an instructor that teaches you how to paint. There was one main instructor, then he had assistants that walked around and helped to improve your painting skills. Our instructor was named Kip and he was a lot of fun! They try to sell you on having fun as you paint. So the atmosphere is very upbeat with fun music, little games, as well as the fluid and uplifting instructors. The location is not as spacious as I imagined, our class happened to be a large class from what they said. The room was not that big, it probably fits around 45-50 people. My friend invited me to go with him and his coworkers today and I'm so glad I decided to join because it was a lot of fun. You have the option of bringing a drink to sip on (juice, water, alcoholic beverages, etc.) while you paint. You and the instructor will be painting the same image. During the process they will give you step by step instructions on what to do however, you will be able to add your own twist to your painting. The instructors and staff were so nice. While we all waited for our background paint to dry, all of us participated in multiple rounds of heads or tails until there was one winner left. If you check online you can actually see what the painting is of the day! I will most certainly be back. The energy is so high and it feels so free. If you are not a good painter, like myself.
