    Before we got started!

I truly love the connection of painting and dining! Wasn't sure what to think since i had only done the painting where you bring your own wine and snacks. The waiter was fantastic. Not sure how Paint Nite picks where they will have their classes, but kudos on that and the setup and the level of fun!! Music, lights, painting, wine=lots of fun!!

My tree and sunset picture. Almost done!

At the end of paint nite, our instructor gave us a coupon code for 40% off future paint nite events.

A group of us ladies grabbed wine bottles and snacks and headed out on our venture. The location is in a strip mall (newer) and was very clean and relatively big. We were greeted at the door by Denise, the owner, and checked in. Each person receives a punch card and you get a free class after the 10th class, which is pretty cool. Our instructor was laid back and very informative. I haven't painted since grade school, so that should tell you my experience! She told me that I have great technique so I wuv her. I'm sorry, I forgot her name!! Blame it on the wine. Painting with a Twist has a monthly calendar and you can attend a session after reserving a spot OR you can get at least 8 participants together and schedule a private party and you get to pick the painting that everyone with be doing together. You start with a blank piece of canvas and the instructor walks you through each step, telling you which brush to use and how to mix colors, make things brighter or darker, etc. She also walks around and gives you pointers or praise. The cost is $35 for a 2 hour class or $45 for a 3 hour class. The whole thing was so casual and comfortable. I was really hesitant to go because I do NOT have an artistic bone in my body, but after just a few minutes I felt right at home. They offer classes for kids, too. You just need to go to their website and check out the calendar. I neglected to take a picture of my painting, so I am going to have to come back and post that pic, but I did take a picture off of their site of the painting that we were doing so that people can see the finished product. Of course, my picture did not look this great, but it was fun and I am proud of it anyway!! Oh and I can't forget Odie..he is the owner's German Shepherd and was a doll! He isn't very good at sneaking food, though. I would try to casually "drop" sausage or cheese and he made it so obvious...ugh! Sorry, Denise, I couldn't help it. He was too cute!! All in all, I highly recommend this to anybody! It was such a nice change of pace and I believe I will make sure to do this at least once a month!

I had a great time! I specifically chose the Flower Mound…read morelocation because compared to the one in Denton and the other one in Lewisville, this spot had the best painting in my opinion. There's different painting everyday, so check it out and see what you like! Arrived a few minutes early (as you should to check in) and every one was so friendly! The receptionist and the artist (Lenny( were as welcoming as can be. My group was small, and coincidentally we were all high school and college aged students. Lenny chatted with us and made pleasant small talk as we painted away. Lenny is a highschool art teacher I believe, so he was very encouraging. Even though I though my painting looked like boo boo, he assured me that it was fine. I'm not an artist or painter by anymeans. I have NEVER done a serious painting in my life. But if I can do it, so can you. For $35, I can't complain. Will be back in a couple weeks to paint another! ALSO, its BYOB. Cups are provided.

Great new location in Coppell! (only been open for 3 months)…read more Came to Board & Brush for a company team event. It was everyone's first time and we absolutely loved it!! Simple&quick booking process. Very organized from initial quote, choosing your sign, and day of studio class. The ladies helping our event were so friendly and helpful. They walked us through every step and guided us when we needed help. We learned how to distress, sand, stain & paint all in 3 hours - and had a blast! Do you have to be crafty/artsy? Not at all. Steps are easy&our group of crafty to non crafty all did successfully. They provide a stencil for you to paint over. Will you find a cool wood project? Absolutely! Plenty of styles to choose from, so everyone is sure to find something to love! (Ex: wooden home sign, crates, kitchen trays, menu board, etc.) What about paint options? There's a gorgeous sea of colors to choose from. You'll find yourself debating over whether you want turquoise, turquoise look-like but a shade lighter, or other hue that is so similar, yet slightly more vibrant. You can use as many as you want. 10/10 would recommend. Come here to hangout, craft, drink (BYOB), eat (bring in own food) and leave with fun-filled memories and a new personalized home décor!

I searched two tables looking for a soft sponge brush and a flexible paint brush for detail. Not one to be found. When you pay $75 to paint... a good brush should be expected.
