That being said - no one came out of this class with anything that didn't look absolutely beautiful! Holly was absolutely awesome! Getting there; it's still in the Willow Bend mall; easiest way to find it is to enter through the main doors between Knife Steakhouse and the Mexican Bar Company and go straight. Super cute set up; they offer painting classes they even have a shop set up. The girls who greeted us were kind. They sent our host over to us to explain everything. He was a sweet boy but wasn't the greatest host personality wise and was a tad unclear with explaining what was going to happen especially with it being our first time. We were left in the tiny splatter room twice with just no direction. Overall we had a decent experience. Wasn't a whole lot to it.

The customer service is helpful & kind. With a crowd I've still always been able to find a seat. 10 outta 10 come check this place out! You won't Regret it!

Make Expression is a medium sized art studio with several tables surrounded by shelves full of owls, cups, bowls, dinosaurs, and anything else you can think of that can be painted. Imagine it and they have it! Kate was our instructor and she was super nice, encouraging, and helpful. I did not do the best job with my painting, but she told me that anything we do can be fixed--and she wasnt lying. Literally I made so many mistakes and I just painted right over it. A little bit of white and yellow paint really goes a long way. I am not sure if the wine messed up my painting skills or not--but, my painting turned out okay. I think I may hang it where no one can see it, but I am so glad that I tried anyway! My mom and my friend also had a great time and their paintings turned out amazing!! I definitely recommend Make Expression for families and childrens birthday parties. I love that you can bring in your own wine, but this is definitely a more family friendly place versus a girls night spot. It was still a great experience though!

My experience here was with 8 girls from my daughters volleyball team along with the parents; we had food for the kids, and the parents of course had their own adult beverages to keep us occupied. We picked our signs well before the party and when we showed up the hosts explained to the girls how to select their stain and decorate their signs however they wanted. I love the freedom the girls had to roam and explore one anothers paintings; they were able to compare, collaborate and laugh. The staff did a fantastic job of keeping the girls focused enough to create beautiful signs, all the while having a great time to talk and mingle with one another. The place is clean and you are greeted with a smile when you walk in. The attitude from start to finish is positive and happy. You could spend time walking through the shop and reading the beautiful signs to get inspiration to create your own version. I will be organizing a neighborhood event and bringing them here, I think we would have a blast working with this place to provide a first stop for a party bus. This place would also be great for team building as you have the space and atmosphere for fun and positive thinking. Overall, this place is great for large or small groups and you leave with a beautiful piece of art you created yourself. Bravo to the owners of Design & Mine for creating a wonderful place to create fun art and memories.
