It was an amazing experience for my granddaughter. She loved the interaction with the volunteers and the owner Lisa was and incredible great host. She loves her animals and only feeds them the very best. Horses are healthy and in great shape. It's an amazing land and even though can use a bit updating, but it's understandable due to the high cost of maintenance these days and keeping 19 acres is not easy. The most important thing is that the kids have a great time and enjoy the real farm life. I wish them all well and just hope the youngest son continues the family business. This place is amazing! My family has been going to the Pumpkin Patches for years. It is very reasonable and a great way to spend an afternoon with your family. The younger ones will love the Pony rides. There are cows, chickens, bunnies, little pony, and beautiful horses. The owners welcome you in to enjoy the beautiful land and animals. There are many spots to get some great fall photos with all of the pumpkins, tree, horses..... Throughout the year, there are many other events! I have very mixed feelings about this place, but I will say that I was grateful to be able to take my kids here. In 2021, it was probably the only pumpkin patch I could find that did not require you to buy tickets ahead of time or reserve a time slot to be able to go. Farmer Dave was very kind to my two girls and gave them a free train ride! My girls got to go on a pony ride and a hay ride, and all the staff were very polite and helpful. I would like to mention that the house next door which I have no idea whether they are affiliated to the farm or not held an extra large confederate flag in the front, and it was a little intimidating for me. But when I went into the farm, there were people of all colors working for or volunteering at the event, even Asian kids, which was a surprise for Florida. Every single staff member was kind. Farmer Dave also made some kind of joke about all his employees quitting, Americans not working anymore, and Prius Drivers eating veggie burgers on the Google updates... But I think he is just a very fun and colorful person with a strong sense of humor. So don't let that intimidate you from stopping by. My girls and I felt welcomed here, and it was a lot of fun! I would definitely NOT come back to this place. This idea is great but it's extremely expensive for what is offered. Was charged over $60 for 4 people just to get into the place. And then had to pay for everything else. Another $60 for a maze that was 2 minutes to walk through and a hay ride. Was at the place about 30 minutes and was done with everything. Was advertised as having food trucks, and there is one that's really only an ice cream truck. Definitely NOT worth the prices they are charging. read more

Update 10/30/2020 I visited with my family today after finding out that they replenish their pumpkins from the comment that POA left in respond to my review. The set up is much better than when we stopped by in the beginning of the month. My kids enjoyed seeing all the animals (rabbits, horses, ponies, goats, and the very chilled cat). There were much more pumpkins and photography setups around the pumpkin patch. We went first thing in the morning since our county doesn't have school today so I figured there might be a lot more people decided to hangout. Although there were some people but POA has plenty of space for everyone to stay more than 6 feet apart to safely practice social distancing. We wore our masks and only took them off when taking photos, which I notice almost everyone did the same (the cold temperature today probably helped, it was 70 degrees when we visited). Since we visited on a weekday there's no music/food/rides and the barn wasn't open. However, we stayed for about an hour there and enjoyed every minute there. I am grateful that POA was able to open their pumpkin patch in this difficult time and provided us the opportunity to continue our family tradition in a safe way. I really appreciate them allowing us to keep the little piece of normalcy for our kids during the pandemic and hoping next year we will be able to visit again but without the need to wear masks :) read more

Wanted the October farm experience with my family. Now I'm standing in line for the $10 pony ride with my daughter, after the $10 kids admission, waiting 45 min for the 15 min surprise break to finish. At least we get entertained by watching the old proprietor yell at the downtrodden staff about everything I can imagine. He finally jumped on a tractor to move the pallets around before snagging an extension cord. Some more yelling at staff members resulted in him getting off the tractor. It is at this point I must tell you the tractor still had a pallet on the front and no counterweight on the back. The tractor almost fell over in the midst of some visitors and staff. If you have a little one who has never seen an animal before and you are not concerned with personal safety. It is probably a good time. But if you prefer your kids have never been kicked by a pony and you wish that to remain so, you should probably pick a different place. Ohh and you can see over the corn in the corn maze. Nice clean outhouse though, with plumbing too! read more

Owner is hostile and rude. The ranch owner and horse care taker have poor attitudes and the employees agree. Water for the horses are a dirty green color and with algae growing on top of the water. Many horses look malnourished. Water doesn't turn green with algae in a couple of hours but in days. That's days of a horses drinking unsafe to consume water, making it sick. One horse had a fresh wound that was not treated in any way. When told to the owner of the situation he became disrespectful and dismissed the conditions of the animals. read more

Looked online for a pumpkin patch to take my two girls. From pictures and description of what was going to be offered, i thought the admission price was reasonable. Prepaid online like the website said was required. We get to the location and are told that all that is available was the pumpkin "patch" and to look at some horses. The corn maze wasn't open like advertised. We felt completely ripped off. $40 just to be able to get onto the pumpkin patch that we still had to pay for $1 per pound?? Definitely don't recommend unless maybe going on a weekend. Definitely better pumpkin patches in other areas of Orlando. read more

WARNING: DON'T waste your time or money. DON'T GO. There are many wonderful pumpkin patch farms and horse stables in Central Florida. This one is not one of them. In fact, it's the BOTTOM OF THE BARREL. First, during the week, there is nothing to do except look at overpriced pumpkins and watch the students train with their horse in the arena and walk through the barn to see a few horses and chickens in the stalls. The corn maze was pitiful. The corn was 3 feet high and completely dead. No activities for the children. No pony rides. No crafts. Nothing. MOST importantly to note is the utter RUDENESS of the OWNER, Lisa. Her rudeness, lack of people skills and professionalism trickles down to her employees as well. For example, when I arrived, the entrance lady asked for payment. I showed her that I prepaid through the website, and commented that no where on the website does it say one can pay at the door (or I would have in order to save the FEES). She got belligerent and near yelling that she only works here and that I would have to talk to the owner. In fact, as I was walking around with my granddaughter, the owner, Lisa, walked by. I politely asked her if I missed it on the website where it was stated the two options: 1. pay online or 2. at the entrance gate (which, again, saves the fees, $18 vs. $26). I told her I wished I had known that I could pay at the door so I wouldn't have had to pay the fees. She became downright hostile. She kept repeating, in a loud and disparaging tone, "We can't put everything on the website! We can't put everything on the website!" She was so aggressive that I took my granddaughter and walked away, saying nothing. Lisa kept going though: "I have it on my phone! You should have seen that there was a fee added! That's how it works! My husband does the website! We can't put everything on the website!" She was relentless and unhinged. I just wanted to get my little grandaugther and myself away from her. This place does not deserve 1 star. The only reason I am writing the review is hoping that somebody reads this and saves your money... don't go! If you decide to go, at least I tried to warn you! So many things wrong with this visit. - The animals are POORLY taken care of and some are obviously depressed. We were actually told by a groomer as we looked in the stall of one horse with a huge open wound on her cheek (the horse, not the groomer!) that "she was going to be put down next week...she was really old". That was a little more info than I really wanted to hear. - The sign says $12 for admission to the corn maize for an adult...and when you walk up to pay for the ticket, you are told you have to pay $10 for the pumpkin patch too. I didn't come for a pumpkin patch visit, I just wanted to have fun in the maize... no sign ANYWHERE that all admissions are +$10 for the pumpkin patch - like it or not! - So, $22 for admission to a corn maize that took 10 minutes to walk! Even a young child in another party told her dad, "this is stupid!" The corn wasn't but waist high to an adult so could see through all the trails. I'm telling you, don't waste your money or time. I attended this location on October 14th and I only purchased a ticket for the pumpkin patch. It was only $6 and I was very pleased with the fee. There wasn't a lot of pumpkins available as I'd hoped but it was still a very beautiful location to visit and take pictures. They have a couple of horses you can go and pet and a little fenced spot to see some chickens and bunnies. Now the reason I gave it 4 stars is mainly because they did not really force the Masks on requirement as much and was a little uncomfortable being around people who didn't wear a mask and again there isn't really much to offer as I'd hope, you can spend 10 minutes there and have seen everything. I love this place. They made such a huge effort in recovering from Hurricane Ian to make the annual fall festival happen. It was so sad that the corn maze was destroyed by the storm but it will grow back. As always, the girls working with the horses did an amazing job. They took the time with the little kids to keep them safe and handled less than gracious folks that have never been on a farm with class. The pumpkin selection was great, and prices are so much cheaper than what you find at Publix. My daughter got face painting done and they did an amazing job! She was so happy with her Among Us face, whatever that it..... This is a great spot to bring your family. I hear they have a great program to teach young kids how to ride horses too. These people do not properly care for the horses. One of the miniature ponies had a bug protection on and it was ripped open due to the horse most likely being kicked by another horse right in the eye. The entire eye area was busted open, swollen, and it was obvious the wound had not been attended to. It was not a fresh wound which meant there is no telling how long ago the horse had been injured. The people that own this place are dishonest ugly people. They treat their neighbors even worse! If I could give negative stars I would. read more

Not recommended. Very disappointed at the overall state of the place and overpriced activities during their annual pumpkin patch event. I give two stars for the good looking and clean pumpkins considering it is the end of October and it has been so hot. But beyond that the horse back ride for $5/kid was literally one small lap that could not have taken more than 2 minutes. The corn maze is $10/kid and $12/adult and the children (even with an 11 yr old) must be accompanied by a paying adult. After the disappointment that was the horseback ride, we decided against spending another $42 to find out what the corn maze was like. The animals around were in poorly maintained, small pens and there was no possibility of interaction. As much as I respect the animal's space and don't think they should be subjected to poking little human hands, this means the animal part of the visit was worth a total of 10 minutes. Thankfully the entrance and parking were free so one could say it met expectations. Finally, those nice looking pumpkins came with a price to match. It was $1/lb which resulted on $15 - 18 pumpkins for the size Publix is currently selling for $6. read more

very disappointed with this place. my wife made the reservation online "because the entrance is limited" which is not true since when we arrived there were cars parked even on the main avenue. This is just a strategy to guarantee more profits since everyone who pays online will believe that they are really going to a place with limited entry which indicates organization that is the least there is. You will not find ponies here as they say for children. They only have horses, which with only two give rides to children who have to wait more than half an hour for this little walk around a small paddock. The train for the children they mention consists of three or four small utility cars that only have straw in the bottom as seats for the children, these winged by a lawn mower driven by an older man. No Corn of course and two small three-inch pumpkins $ 4. Don't waste your money. read more

Me and my family went there today for the pumpkins and ponies. First, they charge you 5dollars to park, which was never advertised. Then, we got there a little after 3pm (closes at 5pm) and they weren't giving out tickets anymore, even though they still expected you to pay the 5dollars per person charge. No tickets meant we couldn't do anything in the place except pick our pumpkins which we still have to pay for...the lady taking the money at the front got in an argument with one of the other patrons complaining. She was super rude and so disrespectful. There are plenty of other pumpkin patches in Orlando. I won't be wasting my time or money there again, and I don't recommend anyone else to either. read more

Painted Oaks Pumpkin festival was overpriced, mismanaged and generally a poor choice of entertainment for children. The information given by staff was inaccurate or just plain disrespectful. We were told that the doors opened at 9 am and when they finally opened at 10:15 am there was not even an apology. Everything cost additional money beside the $5 parking fee, the $5 per person admission fee, and everything inside but the music. The amount of men carrying guns in side holsters was frightening for my children and myself, The horse rides were short, expensive and started late and ended early. $5 for a 3 minute walk around a circle, using helmets that were shared by all children; hopefully mine will not get lice. read more

I sent a email a few days ago, I called about 3 times during posted business hours. I went there, during the business hours listed on the website. Sunday around noon. We were coming from 45 minutes away. When we got there the gate was closed and the sign said closed. People were there and saw us pull up..nobody came to talk to us. Wanted to inquire about having my daughter's birthday there. Very disappointed, they could have at least talk to us, acknowledge that we took the time to come visit their facility. Not sure why the website said they are open Sunday 10-6 but when I show up, I get ignored. I will not be having my daughter's Birthday there or attending anything else that they offer, my daughter also showed interest in the Summer Camps. A little late in getting to this but could not pass up the chance to commend the ranch owners on a fabulous Pumpkin Patch/Fall Festival. The animals are always so well taken care of and they will always be a huge hit for me and my sweet niece but there was SO much more. The face-painting is flawless... each and every time we have it done here. "Julia" is always a happy customer! :) I highly recommend everyone bring their children to see what good wholesome fun looks like. There were the expected pony rides, hay rides and the corn maze.. with a twist ;) Extremely cool BTW. Off to the side was a large area for just FUN! Without giving away their secrets, believe me when I tell you, not an ipad, phone or earbuds in sight! Not one of the children wanted to leave and undoubtedly their video games were the very last thing on their minds. Just one outdoor game after another. Where children really played again. Happy children as far as the eyes could see... And we know where there are happy kids, there will always be happy parents. Incidentally there were no outside vendors that I could see. No one there just selling their wares for profit causing kids to whine that they wanted this or that. No caramel apples, no cotton candy... just sunshine, nature and the kind of fun I only dreamed about while growing up in NYC. DON'T MISS THIS in 2019!! Went to Painted Oaks Academy today during one of their harvest weekends. I was thoroughly disappointed, it was overpriced and not worth it. After paying, the first thing we encountered was a pony. When I asked if we could pet it, I was told yes but that it had bitten by something so avoid the white cream on it. The "petting zoo" was one sheep, one goat and a few rabbits , they didn't look well taken care of. I wanted to go on the family hay ride and was told that the tractor had broken down and we would have to wait longer. I was not told this when I paid to go in and asked about the hayrides. My kids were most excited about the pony rides but they were not small ponies. They were full size horses and there was no straps to hold the smaller children on. It looked very unsafe! The employees were all nice except for the woman who I believe was the owner or the supervisor. She was very rude. I would not recommend this place at all! read more

Went to Pumpkins and Ponies. They advertised Hayride for 5 tickets. Purchased tickets for hayride for three children. Got to the hayride, was told it's $5 cash only. Went back to ask for exchange. Was informed no refunds as the tickets could be used for other things. This is called "bait and switch" and it is illegal under FL Law. Further, the same gentleman who refused to refund began screaming at children (at the time a bunch of 2-5 year olds) for mixing together their paint (each were given a paper plate with dabs of 3 paint colors and a mini pumpkin to paint) when painting pumpkins. After ranting at parents for not taking control of the project and just allowing children to mix their paint (they are kids!), he started shouting at teenage volunteers for not forcing children to "paint properly".
