The event was very organized. They guided us on where to park, welcomed us, and explained the events. We were offered homemade lemonade. The farm is well kept and all the animals are thriving. You can tell they are well loved. The baby goats were absolutely adorable. We sat in a circle on hay bales in a fenced in play area. We each got to give a baby goat a bottle and fed them greens. We got plenty of time to feed and pet the goats. Farmer Rick gave us a tour and educated us on the animals and their care. We got to see the adult goats, pigs, chickens, and turkeys. We got to see the goats again before leaving. We had the opportunity to shop their products including eggs and goat soap. This was such a fun event and I loved supporting a local farm. This is a great date or team building event!

The family who runs this farm, really indeed loves the animals, ALL of the animals, they don't just have goats, they have hogs and chickens and other animals. It's such a little place but filled with so much fun! I went here on a trip and it was great. We were greeted warmly, it's literally in a neighborhood right on land, it's near houses. The price was super cheap and so worth it. They even have a little stand and sell things I bought goat soap. The session itself was so great, we had a yoga instructor and the baby goats were released to us, we fed them and then we had the session as they jumped on us, made us smile and we got cuddles here and there. I was lucky to be able to get a lot of love from the baby goats who were just a few days old. It was the sweetest thing ever. It was a blast and I would do this again for sure! I can't even explain how great of an experience it was. It brought so much joy to me seeing the baby goats.

Nearly everything was an additional charge, none of which was disclosed on the website aside from the pony rides. $5 for a rickety little train ride. $5 for a hayride that frankly didn't look safe. And the petting zoo the owner mentioned on the site? Where exactly was that? We essentially paid $41 for my son to enjoy a 90-second pony ride, during which the girls working the attraction spent the entire time arguing about whose turn it was to take a break. My son did enjoy the playground, but I spent the entire time worried he'd get a splinter or hurt himself because the equipment was in such poor condition. The most frustrating part is that this was supposed to be a fun fall memory with my toddler, and instead I left feeling completely ripped off. Judging by the reviews dating back YEARS, we're far from the first family to have this experience. Do not waste your time or money. There are far better ways to spend a fall afternoon with your kids. The owner should be embarrassed by the condition of this place and the prices being charged. It genuinely makes me wonder where all that money is going.

We went on a Sunday and the parking lot was packed so we had to circle to find a spot. Luckily, there seem to always be people coming AND going so it only took a few minutes. Freshfields Farm is split up into 3 distinct areas - the fresh meat store, the fresh produce store, and the ice cream (and hot dog) window. We decided to head to the meat entrance first. The area is not that big but it is just lots of selections of fresh meat, cheese and butter. The meats seemed to be pretty good prices, slightly below Publix where I normally shop. There was ground beef, turkey, steak, chicken and seafood. Plus some huge cuts of meat like picanha and ribs. If you are going to have a BBQ, this is the place to go. Also, workers were constantly bringing out new packages and some people were waiting for them. I picked up 2 pounds of ground beef and some boneless, skinless chicken breasts. The cashiers were nice and super quick. Then we headed outside and then next door to the produce section. Basically the same as the meat department but filled with produce. There were bins of fresh strawberries when we walked in as well as avocados, a whole section of bananas and plantains, rainbow carrots, and even full cacao pods! I'm guessing they just showcase fresh seasonal produce so for example, while there were fresh plums, I didn't see navel oranges. There was also a fridge case full of squeezed juices and lemonades. And a big section of various types of mushrooms. I got a package of sliced cantaloupe and a big pack of 30 eggs. We checked out the ice cream window, which looked super yummy but because we hadn't eaten lunch yet, we decided we'll come back another time to try it.

I guess one could say that I have a love/hate relationship with Aldi, or at least a like/hate relationship with them. While they might present some good values to coincide with good quality, that is not always the case. I guess the best way to describe them is to compare them to an Odd Lots for supermarkets, buy what they can get a great deal on and offer it to their customer base (hopefully at a great price). There is nothing wrong with this business model, but it is not always for me. I also do not like that they do not have a phone in the store (allegedly to save money and pass the savings onto the consumer), have minimal employees working the checkout lanes which can make for a long line when you only have a few items, etc. Would I return here? Absolutely. Should Publix be concerned? Absolutely not.
