I really enjoyed the painting event at the Meridian yesterday with Nikki teaching. She was such a great instructor and guided us gently through the steps to create a water / lilypad piece. Paint the Town completely dropped the ball. I spent weeks confirming headcount, party details, payments, and logistics with them. Then, on the morning of my daughter's party (scheduled for 11:30 AM), the instructor sent a vague text at 6:45 AM saying they wouldn't be able to make it and then never responded to any of my follow-ups. To make matters worse, I couldn't reach anyone at the company. I called, texted, and emailed multiple times trying to see if they could send a backup instructor or at least switch to a virtual format. Nothing. No support, no communication...just silence. Finally, I heard back from someone on Monday, asking if I wanted to reschedule. Because apparently, that's how birthday parties work? This company clearly doesn't understand the basics of customer service or event planning. I regret ever trusting them with something so important. I would not recommend Paint the Town -- look for a more reliable company that actually puts their customers first. read more

My friends and I were able to schedule a session with Paint the Town while we were visiting MD. A part of the service offered is that the instructor can come to your hotel or space to teach the class, which was a great feature. We were able to spread out in our hotel suite and give our instructor, Alexandra, plenty of room to work with. It was fun getting to create and see how everyone's art came out differently even though we had the same subject. Alexandra made the two-hour class fun and interesting, always offering help and ideas on how to modify or improve our work. read more

It's been an incredibly tough two years with so many of us kept apart out of concern for our friends and colleagues' safety and well-being. So when our AAPI Resource Group wanted to celebrate each other and our ability and desire to stay connected nonetheless, we swept the Internet and cast the net wide asking friends, families, and business contacts for what events really resonated with them. We had participants from all across the United States, so this made it logistically even more difficult. Enter ... Paint the Town! Not only is this business innovative and interactive (even in its virtual format), it's also a small, AAPI, woman-owned business: the brain child of CEO extraordinaire, Celia Ma! The event was SO MUCH FUN. Over thirty of us joined together virtually and were able to paint together, converse, trade jokes, enjoy snacks, and truly connect/re-connect and enjoy each other's company. Our instructor was cheerful, helpful, and guided us through the creation of our own personal work of art - this is a great group activity for folks of all ages and all levels of skill. Paint the Town was incredibly helpful and communicated throughout the period of time leading up to the event, and were great following up with any questions or issues that popped up. Our Summer Clerks loved this painting class. Eurae, our teacher, was so funny and communicated throughout the 2 hours. She made it so fun for everyone. Clerks were commenting about how relaxing it was with no pressure! Working with Angie and Ashley for the set up and payment was a breeze. They explained everything and were always quick with a response. Top to bottom Paint the Town is a wonderful organization and we will definitely be doing this again with our clerks. HIghly recommend. I work at an international development company in DC and my team organized a teambuilding activity with Paint the Town. From the moment we reached out to them the responded in minutes (despite the holiday!) and immediately started working with me on how to plan for this event. Over the next two weeks they helped plan out a hybrid paint party for 34 people, where our virtual attendees were able to participate by receiving paint kits in the mail! Our artist Sasha was such a delight to work with and was able to hold the attention of 25+ adults for two hours while we painted a beautiful mountain landscape! She was so attentive to everyone in the room, and those joining via Zoom. If you are looking for something fun (work, personal occasion, etc.) I recommend it wholeheartedly!
