So much of the federal city can be seen from this venue. Since Top of the Town is a venue hosting events ranging from business meetings to weddings the food and drinks will be dependent on the caterer. I believe Top of the Town is situated on top of circa 1960s or 1970s condos. The elevator to get to the top is slower than the sloth in the Geico commercials and the bathrooms are dated. Also, it's a long awkward walk from the elevator to the main banquet room. Which brings up a point - there are various banquet rooms and the main one has a rooftop deck. This venue is a good 1/2 mile walk from the Rosslyn Metro station and there is a fairly significant hill as you approach the building. I hiked it in wedges but I don't think I could have done it in pumps or on a bike.

Helena had great food suggestions and were pleased with all of her recommendations. We were unsure we would meet the amount of seat requirements for reserving the ballroom, but Helena worked with us and we ended up having around 119 guests with 14 tables. Our package included cocktail hour (food, space, setup, & open bar),cake, DJ, reception flowers, catering, location, linens, 3 hours open bar, wine for table, champaign toast, setup, and breakdown. The linen selection was also nice with some satin and spandex options. We used gold as out color. The vendors they included in the package are well rated in their own right and were very easy to work with in tandem with the Officers' Club. We selected Alexandria Pastry Shop for the cake, Wilson Florist of Rosslyn for the flowers, and JK Music for the DJ. The day of the staff was extremely helpful and the reception went smoothly. I wish they would have steamed the linens. The food was excellent, we wish we could have tried more of our cocktail hour food but we were so busy chatting with all our guests. The only thing you will really have to do or designate friends/family to do at this location is set-up your "details" like table numbers, escort cards, table decorations, etc.

For our outdoor/Marquis Tent Wedding in November 2018, we used them for our Lighting, Sounds, and DJ Services. We couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. During the initial consultation, Brian was incredibly knowledgeable and answered all of the wedding related questions that we had. He was also able to give us some great advice and helpful recommendations given his previous experience working with numerous weddings. Brian was very creative and paid so much attention to detail with every aspect of our wedding. The sound during the ceremony was crisp. I can't tell you how many people came up later on, and said that they could hear absolutely everything even though it may have been difficult to see everything. We had a wedding of 300 people outdoors, so it can be difficult at times, but Brian was able to accommodate and appease everyone. For the reception, music was pumping, and Brian situated the speakers in a way that didn't take focus away from the wedding décor. He had a variety of songs that entertained and appealed to the crowd. The place was bumpin' when it was time to party!! In addition to that, Brian did our LIGHTING as well. The color wheel on the remote control is fabulous! If I want, I can make it a specific tone of aqua by just scrolling around with my fingertip. I usually use a candle light Amber soft golden color. Other units like American DJ, etc. are just the color but not the shade of the color. Brian always ships them on time and it comes with a return label and after my party, the next day, I just drop them off at the nearest UPS. Easy!
