The food was beyond fabulous, the DJ - Fresh Tracks, everything was heavenly and magical, and on top of it we had a snowy wedding day :)) The day before the wedding was a sunny, bright day for snowboarding photos, popping champagne on the mountain, and having an overall blast!! (though this experience makes…read moreme realize I ought to take time out to write some for the many amazing businesses I've had the honor of giving business to over the years!) Really, this one frankly ought to be a one-star review, as my friends would say I'm being way too nice. ;) I'd say the two-stars is mostly only thanks to the initial gal Cara I had spoken with, as she seemed great and I'm sure what happened isn't her fault AT all, as she wasn't ever on the actual e-mail thread with the office assistant person. Ah also the very first person I ever spoke with when I had first called back in July (don't recall her name?) seemed SO sweet and kind, so I at least feel that's worth the additional star as well. Anyway since the bridal world can be a tender time of life, I almost feel a responsibility to simply forewarn anyone searching for 'hourly' booking options, etc. Based on how this business behaved (them offering the client an hourly service option, going through a pre-booking process that was certainly questionable at numerous points, although I somehow still was willing to move forward with them at the time), and then a month later at the eleventh hour receiving a perplexing e-mail from them, with a tone of condescension asking to make sure I understood that this would be charged as an hourly service--when quite literally, that was the entire thing we were booking them for initially, so what a strange question! Then at that point, me as the client having to 'read between the lines', to directly ask if they'd sent that e-mail because perhaps they'd changed their minds/didn't want to take me on as an hourly client after all? And only then them confirming that yes that is the case, as essentially I wasn't worth it to them, so they abruptly canceled the agreement we'd e-mailed about. (Which is hilarious that I would have ended up paying them so much more than I'd originally imagined due to the amount of hourly work I'd started to plan to utilize them for, and not to mention referring them to many friends in the future--but instead, of course now someone couldn't even pay me to give this place business, sadly.) Thanks to this company's truly surprising treatment of a prospective client, and wasting time for so many weeks, I will no longer even be getting married in the location originally imagined. Yup. It put such a bizarre damper on the whole entire experience, to the point of actually taking away my previous dreams of getting married in Mammoth for now. We had a lot of last minute changes DURING the wedding and they were very flexible and understanding throughout the entire process. The decorations and lighting was gorgeous and the way they hosted the entire evening was perfect. Nicole and Michael are extremely friendly and in general just fun and happy people to be around and work with! I wish we were friends outside of the business! Haha. 10/10 would recommend them to anyone in need of an MC! Thank you guys so much!!

Our wedding was very DYI and took a lot of family helping. We had no idea what we were doing and having Nicole and Michael helped soooo much. They gave us so much good advice!! Even down to where we should have our first dance!! We had it set up inside and right before Nicole said "with that view you have to do it outside". We were like "ok done"!!!! I was scared to dance on grass, but It was perfect and the pictures were unbelievable, and we don't even have our professional ones back yet!! So thank you Nicole for changing it up!! The sweetest couple in the world... They helped with things they didn't have to! Micheal even cut our cake and helped our caterer set up the desserts.... literally I do not think our cake would have been cut if it wasn't for them! The whole time they were looking for ways they can help. We are so thankful for them!!! The music was also awesome. They noticed everyone was having a great time dancing so they even played longer than they were supposed too! I will be recommending them to all my friends and family. Pros: - Romy is super nice…read more - can update and change invoice all the way to your wedding - large variety of things to add for the big day Cons: - we went to 2 incorrect website and yelp addresses until finding it on the 3rd try (literally drove across town twice) - my bar never showed up and we were missing linens the day of. - I wouldn't get emails back for like a week when she said she would send it over for the day. - I never felt like I mattered as a customer I was always pushed to the side because it was "busy season" - we were told our sweetheart seat foot would be fixed in time for the wedding. Over 6 months went by and I didn't find out til the day b4 it was still broken The decor was nice and the flexibility but I don't think it was worth the stress all year. Not only were their prices incredibly reasonable, especially without the exorbitant delivery fees other vendors quoted; They were right on it when we realized we missed calculated and needed a few extra linens and we got them right away. (DIY event planners, it's always a good idea to sort your event linens early!) The service team for Get the party started also did a wonderful job working our event. She responded initially, then would go months without responding. Then finally when I thought we were getting somewhere (she emailed me saying she was working on my contract), I didn't hear from her for another 3 weeks. Cant rely on someone like this for a wedding. Within those 3 weeks, I booked someone else because I couldn't handle the stress of having someone unreliable have a huge role in my wedding.

When I tried to explain to him that I had canceled that appointment and rescheduled for today, he immediately cut me off and told me that I needed to listen to him now. My fiance overhead his tone of voice and immediately told him that he wasn't to speak to me in that manner. Bottom line, things happen for a reason. We were unable to tour the venue as scheduled, treated very unprofessionally by the staff, and therefore decided to look elsewhere for our wedding venue.

This is a dog friendly event and when a stranger approached my dog, said nothing to me, and started petting her, I asked them to please ask before touching my dog. While I was still within two feet of her, Dani started making fun of me and talking crap with someone who had approached her information booth. I told her I could hear her and she just looked startled and did not apologize. Despite giving her a chance to be professional, she chose to continue to make this an unwelcome place while standing in a professional booth. Poor judgement and disgusting behavior for a family event. Will be complaining to her employer.
