The Ansel Adams Gallery celebrates the life and work of famous photographer Ansel Adams. The gallery has many of his original prints, reprints, books and general souvenirs that reference him. You'll also find works of other photographers that showcase Yosemite. There are paid photography classes offered here as well as free walking tours each Tuesday and Thursday. While most of the items in stock are expensive, the value of learning you receive by exploring this gallery is priceless.

As a photographer and nature appreciator The Ansel Adam's Gallery was a must. We were greeted at the front door by SARAH! She informed us on the controlled capacity due to covid and we were let in shortly after. Sarah was professional and knowledgeable. Made a great first impression of the gallery. I grew up loving all of Ansel Adam's work so this was a treat. They have original prints of his work with many books for sale. You can also find other art work by local artist and handmade jewelry. Need film or memory cards in a pinch? They got you covered! Camera gear readily available. Tons of knowledgeable photographers working there as well. The gallery is kept clean and staff do everything they can to make sure people are safe and abiding covid regulations. Will be back soon. Thank you Ansel Adam's Gallery staff!

This is a very nice store with some classy home decor and jewelry items. Of course plenty of high-end camera goodies and the exclusive Ansel Adams Yosemite photos that can only be purchased here or on their official website. They're pricey - $325 or so a shot and then $100 for a frame. But they're matted well and look high quality. Staff were friendly and it's a beautiful shop to browse if you're looking for some quality keepsakes.

Although it's actually a store rather than a gallery, The Ansel Adams Gallery is still my favorite spot to visit in Yosemite Village. The store sells items that, from prints to books, celebrate not only the magnificent work of Ansel Adams, who was undoubtedly a category of photography of his own, but the world of nature photography in general. Although it's small, the store also carries photography accessories from tripods to film stock - very useful for a photographer who suddenly finds himself either forgetting or missing the essential tools to capturing the details of Yosemite's lively meadows to the tops of Yosemite's massive granite sentinels. I highly recommend this store as not just a place to buy and browse through Ansel Adam's best work - many done in Yosemite Valley itself - but to be inspired too.

Art among nature ~ I have three loves: nature * food * art This place offers two of those items and if you exit the gallery/store you'll also have several food options that all overlook beautiful Yosemite. I didn't know Ansel had a gallery here until I accidentally stumbled upon it and it truly made my day. Featuring much of his work as well as other artists & photographers. There are postcards that are inexpensive and there are also some very serious pieces of art you can take home with you. I didn't get crazy in here but I did purchase two prints that cost me under $50 which is a bargain in my opinion. I left very pleased. You'll also find; jewelry, pottery, soaps, books, calendars, and all sorts of lovely items & gifts. I loved exploring this place and recommend it to anyone who enjoys art & photography. It's a small shop but offers many beautiful items.

Beautiful gallery and informative staff. It's all a bit pricey, but beautiful stuff to look at and be inspired by.

What's with the Negative Nancy reviews? You're in a national park and this gallery/shop is owned by the Adams family. I think it's a great intimate place, and they had some sweet sales going on (my sister and I bought a couple of large posters on sale for 70% off). The staff in the gallery was very helpful, and they wrapped our posters perfectly so they could be protected from the snow storm outside. If you're a fan of Adams' photography, this place is a really cute and warm place to explore. There are not a lot of original photos hung up, but you can still see some and explore other items that represent Yosemite. I'm totally coming back to see what else I can find during my next visit to the Valley :)

I was blown away by the vivid colors throughout many of the art pieces at their Bigfoot Festival booth. There was one particularly enchanting piece of Emigrant Wilderness that I kept on staring at. I was smitten. I ended up purchasing it and other beautiful art pieces at the festival. After the event - I reached out to the owner of the gallery - to secure some additional works. I can honestly say that each piece purchased has truly transformed our home. One of my favorite aspects of Twain Arte Gallery is that their art is local and it captures local scenery. There is nothing more beautiful than nature - and what better way to support local than through buying epic art inspired by the majestic nature that blesses this area. In each of the photography pieces that we bought - it's apparent that the photographer/artist has a genuine passion and love for the nature that is captured in their art. I am so thankful that we had opportunity to purchase the pieces that we did from Twain Arte Gallery. Both my husband and I adore them. On slow mellow days - we can easily be transported to Kennedy Meadow, Sonora Pass, Pinecrest Lake and the Emigrant Wilderness through the colorful images that now hang proudly on our walls. If you're local or happen to be in the area - be sure to stop on by Twain Arte Gallery during their weekend hours. Trust.

A quaint art gallery in June Lake, I was honestly surprised…read morebut happy that this small town had something like this here. Makes me happy that even small towns can appreciate art and hold space for the creative. I came by last weekend and was happy to check this space out. Came in on a Saturday afternoon and we were the only customers inside. It's a very small gallery but I was happy that it appeared well stocked as the walls were covered as were the tables. We had a little look around but since the shop is smaller our time here went by quick. The woman who I believe to be the owner was super friendly and sweet. Welcoming from the moment we came in and helpful when we had questions. She's an artist herself and was knowledgeable about her pieces in the shop. I wanted to support this local business so I took an extra glance around to see if there was anything I could walk away with. I found that she carries soaps in the shapes of different crystals and was intrigued. These pieces were pretty cool and would make a great gift. They were also one of the most reasonably priced items in the shop at about $14 each. I went with a soap that looked like rose quartz and smelled like rose and other flowers. A super cute find. The only reason I docked a star was I wish the price points were a little more reasonable and that there was even more variety of art. While there was a lot of inventory, a lot of the items looked similar to me and were primarily watercolor prints / paintings. I would have liked to see different mediums, themes and maybe even more pottery etc. Some items I did like and eye like fabrics & stained glass were out of my price range. Overall it was nice to be able to see some local art and to be able to purchase a keepsake to take home. Owner was lovely and it was a nice shopping experience.
