Not a bad spot for a Thai fix! I came in here because it was the first restaurant I laid my eyes on after finding street parking nearby and I'm not mad. It's a small cafeteria style/takeout restaurant where you order and pick your plate up at the counter, and no servers. Their food is still just as good as any traditional sit-in Thai restaurant you'd find though, plugs lots of authentic dishes to choose from. I had to try their Pad Thai (2* spicy), of course, and also the Salmon Choo Chee Curry. Very delicious pad thai, as authentic as you'd find in the streets of Thailand, they even use thin rice noodles and whole green onions, however, there were many tiny black burned specks in there, which I know from experience, is from the wok, which is yucky. Do not accept that, as I did, and return it if you see that. I was just in a rush. Anyways, the curry was absolutely delicious. Presented well and perfectly cooked salmon, and the curry was not at all watery, where some restaurants are known to cheat out on. All in all, pretty happy I came in! read more

The food is so good and always fresh. I've gotten the pad Thai, crispy pad Thai, and pho ga and have always been more than happy with it.

Food isn't horrible. I'd give it a 2.5. But the service is terrible. I waited 25 minutes for a shrimp pad thai. Did they go to the gulf of Mexico, catch shrimp, fly back and make the pad thai? Worst of all, other people order pad thai way after me and got it way before me very annoying. Wouldn't go here again just for the horrible service. No apologies, nothing. The pad thai was mediocre. I LOVE this place. I have ordered a ton of different dishes but I almost always get green curry with tofu. It is spicy and flavorful and the vegetables are perfectly crunchy. And they make your food very quickly and you can get out for under $10 even with a decent tip. I've had better Thai food in my life but I've paid at least twice as much to get it. read more

Regretfully, I will never eat at this establishment again. I have been frequenting PadThai Café since I moved to Boston last years. I've always enjoyed their food. However, last night I wasn't treated with the same hospitality and I ended up leaving before I finished my dinner. I work late and I don't often eat dinner until after 9pm. I showed up at 9:15pm - well before closing time - and the first thing I experienced was the cashier pushing me to get take out and looking at her watch when I said I would be eating inside. I was put off by the inconsiderate attitude immediately, but decided to stay. I have worked in the restaurant industry for years (now I work in law), so I understand how difficult it can be and how, by the end of the day, you just want to be done. However, I still treated customers with respect and courtesy - as it was my job to do so. My food was ready within 7 mins - and the same cashier screamed my order - despite the fact that I was one of two people in the place. Then, not even 5 mins into my meal, another worker started to mop the place around me. The smell of cleaning chemicals instantly made me nauseous and I couldn't finish my food. I had to leave without enjoying a full meal. I was very very very disappointed and I vowed never to eat here again - which is sad because I did like the place at one point. After a long work day, all I wanted was to enjoy a nice meal for myself and I got exactly the opposite. I was treated very poorly and my food was rushed. I will never eat here again and I don't recommend it to others. read more

Best thai restaurant in Boston since I came here in fall 2015 (the old PadThai Cafe)!!! Now they just opened at a new smaller place near Berklee but I still definitely come here almost everyday. I really love their Indonesian Fried Rice (it comes with crispy chicken), Crispy Chicken Basil (it is spicy but if you don't like spicy, you can ask it for less), Pad See You, and Crispy Pork Prik King Fried Rice. Terrible experience food with delivery! Ordered takeout and work at a near by hospital. Delivery driver was lost called the restaurant and they lied and told me he was 10 mins out when he told me he had arrived. Received my food, not what I had ordered, they left my rice when I called them I was informed the manager wasn't around. Asked for a refund the lady on the phone told me no refund, when asked if they can deliver the rice I paid for she hung up the phone and refused to pick up when I called. Nurses at the hospital heard everything that occurred on the phone and was disgusted, they didn't even eat their meal because of how upset they were, they attempted to also call on my behalf but the restaurant refused to pickup! read more

Me and my girl used to order religiously. But the customer service has become so terrible it's insane. These guys just don't care if they lose a customer. Website is definitely not accurate time-wise. I never write reviews but my most recent experience was so bad I just had to. Worst customer service and online delivery restaurant. I have never written a review for any place but after so much bad experiences with this restaurant, I've decided to share my thoughts. I used to order from Pad Thai Cafe every week because their food is pretty good, however, the people are RUDE! I've had my orders delayed for 30 mins, 1 hour, 2 hours for several times. When I call to ask about the order, they said just wait 30 more mins and you cannot cancel your order (even though it sounds like they haven't started making). Then after 1 MORE HOUR, NO FOOD, I called again and was basically yelled at by them saying that they just called the driver so I have to wait for ANOTHER 30 mins. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF FROM TROUBLE AND STARVED STOMACH. IT IS NOT WORTH IT. read more

My roommate and I got a tofu pad thai, shrimp pad thai, scallion pancake, and veggie dumplings. I liked the tofu pad thai, nothing special but the tofu was good. My roommate was upset that there were only 2 pieces of shrimp in her pad thai and the rest was just rice noodles. We both really liked the scallion pancakes. Unfortunately, there was a mix up and we were given pork dumplings instead of veggie dumplings. This was a big issue as I am vegetarian and my roommate is halal. We had to throw them out. Called the restaurant the next day, and was very harshly told it was not their issue, but ubereats. (we ordered through uber eats). So, we brought the issue there and eventually got a refund for the dumplings. Alright food, nothing special though. read more

I had the tom yum noodle soup because it was a cold day out. You need to go to the counter to pick up your own order when called, but the price point was just right for work day lunches. The order came out fast and the taste was spot on with the right amount of spiciness. The seats that are not at the corners of the restaurants could feel the gust of cold breeze coming in through the entrance every time someone enters or leaves, which is a negative in the dining experience during the cold days. All in all the cold breeze from the door was the only downside, would definitely revisit frequently. read more

This place used to be great with the previous owners when they were on Boylston, I used to say it was the best pad Thai but the truth is that their quality and menu have gone down. Every time I order pad Thai it comes out burnt (especially if, but not limited to when i order a country pad Thai), not sure why the kitchen is always full of smoke and the food tastes like the burnt smoke. Never before would they ever burn a pad Thai with their old owners. Also very disappointing they changed their natural smoothies with tapioca which used to be super popular...now they use a weird cream or milk base and it is super sugary and syrupy in the worst way. read more
