Bourbon - Glazed Brisket Tacos and Hummuscide
Brianne C.

Paddy Wagon had a pretty long line during the Martina McBride concert at the Columbus Commons. But they kept the line moving, the food fresh, and for the amount of people they were serving it went fast. I ordered the Bourbon Braised Brisket Tacos, which was an order of 2. They were good, a bit messy. I also ordered the Hummuscide (hummus with pita and veggies) which I liked more. The veggies were cool and refreshing and the pita was warm with a bit of flavor. The ratio of hummus to veggies/pita was spot on.

I had the brisket. It was very good but pricey. I asked to leave the slaw off and add onion, peppers, mushroom. It was a $12 sandwich. They had to stop taking orders and the cashier helped prepare food before they took orders again. The wait was a little long. All in all it's a good food truck.

I stopped by this truck today. They were at my complex. They have a very small menu. I had the brisket tacos. The flavor was good, but the brisket was a little chewy. The other tenants seemed to really like the food. It doesn't bad, just not something I would seek out. The cook was more friendly than the order taker. I felt like he should have been more enthusiastic. He also couldn't answer questions about the menu to another customer. Overall it was okay.

Now that we've finally got some warm weather, Columbus Commons has brought back food truck Thursdays! I believe it begins at 11am and runs til 2 pm. I guess I'm not only reviewing Paddy, but food truck Thursday in general. I would highly recommend arriving before 1:30, as food trucks may run out of food, depending on volume. I noticed at least 3 trucks shutting down shop around that time. There were 10-12 trucks altogether. All 3 of us made a beeline for Paddy Wagon. I really wish they had a burger on their menu, but my bourbon glazed brisket tacos were delicious. I paid extra to add pineapple to mine, but I ended up picking them off. They were clearly canned, and had a strange flavor. I will ask for light slaw next time as well. A little too much. The meat and sauce had great flavor though! Just a bit of heat which I loved.

Brisket sandwich. SO GOOD

The 15-hour slow smoked brisket is phenomenal. There was the exact right amount of spice and BBQ flavors. And the kettle chips are amazing! I kind of got ripped off on the chips (only received 7 little chips) and the fact that they were so good and I barely got any makes me sad. But for $7 total that sandwich alone was worth it. The wait time wasn't too bad, considering they are shredding the beef and toasting the bun fresh for you.

Paid $18 for two hot dogs and a can of soda, way too overpriced. Poor quality in food too.

Absolutely delicious. This is the 2nd I've gotten the Buffalo chicken wrap and it doesn't disappoint. Quick and so good.

Harrison's menu is varied, but they don't sacrifice much in quality for their large quantity. Is it…read moreMiddle Eastern, is Mexican, is it American grease pit...? Yes on all counts. The beef burrito and with creamy jalapeño sour cream sauce was high quality! Impeccably prepared beef on a soft tortilla wrap with the black beans, Spanish rice, cheese, and the usual suspects of veggies on the inside make this a go-to. My wife had the Tandoori Chicken on rice on a bed of lettuce and tomatoes, cucumbers and onions. Solid on its own, but the creamy white sauce really enhances all their dishes. (My burrito included a small cup of it, too.) The only thing that needed noticeable improvement was the horchata. I loved the sweetness of it, but it was too grainy. We had to get it hope to strain it and re-chill it; then it tasted great, like a melted ice cream in a good way. The burgers, appetizers, and specials all had items that were appealing, so they definitely earned a second visit.

I don't care what you order from Harrison's Food Truck Halal, two things are for certain. Number one you're gonna get a lot of food and number two. it's good be damn good! The ladies are thee best at cooking up amazing food. Harrison's like a Mexican Fusion with a little East Indian flair here and there or at least that's my take. I ordered a Harrison's Special Platter W/ Salad which is enough for two. Their Double Cheese Burger as absolutely insane on how big it is and their fries slap! Loved the California Burrito. Their Horchata is super dank and the Mango Lassi is a real Mango Lassi made with yogurt, not some artificial juice nonsense!
