If negative stars were a thing, they would be specifically for this place. I bought a used truck from them in August 2015. They delivered the truck with nails in 3 out of 4 tires, and told me that it passed inspection, so it's fine. They offered to pull all the nails and plug the tires. No way. After finally getting them to agree to re-detail the truck, and replace the tires (initially with used ones) I brought it back. Keep in mind this place is almost an hour from my house, and they offered no free rental. I drop the truck off, go on vacation come back, excited to go get my fresh tire, clean truck. Get a ride all the way up there, and what do I see? 4 of the cheapest no name tires they could find, and the bed still caked with dirt under the bed liner. I am livid. I attempt to call my salesman... No answer, then the general sales manager... No answer. I went home, more mad than I've ever been, and built a website. DontBuyPaddock.com a month or so later I get a call from a higher up apologizing, and wanting to make good. He has me bring the truck in, tell him all of my concerns, and even gives me a loaner while they work on it. In the mean time I had to clean the bed out myself, and install a new serpentine belt, so they didn't have to end up dealing with that. They did reimburse me for the belt, but not any of my time. They ended up putting 4 new Goodyear tires on it, adjusting a few things, front end alignment, replaced the badly scratched windshield, and an in house detail job which looked much better than the delta sonic one it had gotten twice before. At this point I take the website down. I'm reasonably happy. The steering is still a bit sloppy, and for a truck with 24k miles this shouldn't be the case, but at this point I feel mildly satisfied. A week or so later I notice an increasingly bad lifter noise when I fire the truck up. I shut it down, and check the oil. Its halfway up the dipstick!!! WTF? I immediately go buy the stuff to do an oil change. I wanted to switch to Pennzoil platinum anyway. As I'm draining the oil it fills my 6qt pan... The truck only holds 6qts. What's going on? I put the plug back in, empty the pan, and finish draining it. It comes up 2/3 of the way full. This is not good. I pull the filter, and let that drain as well, and now the pan is almost topped off again. It had almost DOUBLE the amount of oil than is recommended!!!! I completed the oil change, and all of a sudden the noise is gone. I contacted them again and told them what I found. At this point, I'm convinced that I have a lemon. I have them 2 options to make this right. They finally got back to me and offered a tech to look at the engine with me, and that's it. This would have been the third time the 2 year old truck with 24k on it would have had to go back in. I wanted a different vehicle, or them to make this truck actually worth my while. They wanted to do neither. The whole Paddock company is a joke. The salesmen are pushy, their prices are outrageous, and their service department leaves A LOT to be desired. I urge anyone reading this to go anywhere else to buy a vehicle. You will be taken for a ride you don't want to be on if you go here. read more

By far the BEST experience I've ever had with a car dealership! I typically dread going into dealerships because of the nonsense that you have to deal with regarding salesmen and the dealerships trying to get one over on you and trying to take you for every penny. This is not the case AT ALL with Paddock. That is the last thing that they have in mind, they are the most ethical and moral dealership I've ever seen. They truly care about the customer and want to do all they can for you to make the process as smooth and easy as can be. And when I got there they told me to have a seat in the waiting area and someone would be right with me. After waiting for 40 mins, I asked if I can just talk to another salesperson. And the woman said well you have an appointment with so and so, and I said well I had an appointment 40 mins ago with so and so and I'm tired of waiting. I would leave no stars if it was possible. I have had a bad experience in the past but things have been going well the last few times until today. I scheduled an oil change online last week for 11:00AM but received an email the day before my appointment saying they modified the time to 10:40AM which left me a little rushed seeing I had an appointment somewhere else before having to get my oil change. I got to the appointment and waited exactly 1 hour and 55 minutes for my oil change. An oil change takes 45 minutes so why so long! While I was sitting there waiting another white equinox parked out front and I remember saying to myself oh look one just like mine. I don't remember how long it was there but it was awhile. When the worker called me back to tell me they were done I voiced my complaint for how long it took. He apologized and said he just got back from lunch but the other workers knew I was waiting and it looks like it's only been done for 6 minutes. When he handed my key back I asked where it was parked, he pointed out front to the white equinox that I had noticed earlier. It had been done for awhile but nobody came to get me. I guess my time isn't as valuable as employees lunch breaks. All I got was an I'm sorry for the wait! That doesn't fix things! And a complimentary can of Cola during my wait doesn't make things better. Paddock you have my address I will be expecting a check for some of my $110 back for the inconvenience! I make just over $20 a hour at work and since I wasted 2 hours of my time I refund check of $40 would be appreciated! read more

4/5/19: I'm updating my review/score for a few reasons. First, I stand corrected! It turns out that Chevy Trax does have the front seat with the plastic casing sitting about 3/4 of an inch away from the seat itself (per the service gentleman who checked and found the same design flaw on other Trax vehicles sitting on the lot). Why? No clue! Second, canceling the warranty was relatively smooth and easy - I just stuck to my guns. I can always shop around and add it when the remaining warranty on the vehicle is up (in at least 2 1/2 years). Third, the mechanic over at the service garage was exceptionally helpful, kind, and patient. A car is a significant purchase - it helps to have someone helping you who 'gets' that...I hate that I don't recall his name - he deserves a raise!! Finally, Gilberto was very professional and very helpful in walking me through the different processes on Monday to my satisfaction. I definitely recommend him as a salesperson. When all is said and done, I do recommend Paddock Chevrolet. I think that their use of a smart phone right there on the lot to fine tune the search/narrow the pool of vehicles is genius! When you go in, take your time; do your research in advance so that you know what to expect; you don't want to feel rushed or pressured. Mine was an unexpected emergency purchase...so I was already frazzled and it was the end of the day. If at all possible, go shopping in the morning so you have plenty of time to ask questions...take a break, then return and complete the buy if it's meant to be. Had to come for a manufacturer's recall. They have been accommodating from the first call to make the appointment to the TV and open fridge policy in the waiting room. When you arrive, you are met and "triaged" if you will to ensure they send you in the right direction. Then you meet your service manager in the bay. Where you learn the what is whats and the where to wait. The waiting room has free wifi, a friendly receptionist, and free soda and coffee. They also have cable TV to view. The seats are pretty cozy too! It would have been a 5 star review but the initial pull in is confusing and people walk around and around you and you don't really know quite what is going on. read more

Walking into their show room with 3 salesman standing around talking to each other you would think one would walk over. Nope we had to ask about the new impala. We were answered with a quick FINGER point in the direction of one on display. I took my car into Paddock service department for a check engine light. Told the service writer it is a special policy from GM and that I have a coolant leak which I will get fixed later. About 30 minutes later I get a call with a $2600 Estimate and no repair per what I asked for. I paid $190 to get my car back since it was being held hostage. Said I needed brakes and rotors for $600 when I have no problems with the brakes and no noise, also had my wheels off 2 months prior and knew my brakes were fine. Said my oil pan was leaking oil yet oil leaks at the camshaft cover dripped down to the oil pan. Another $500 to fix the coolant leak I said I will fix another time. Waited a couple of days and spoke to service manager told him K worked as a tech/shop foreman at a GM dealership and k new what I was talking about. After a couple of minutes the manager got upset and kicked me out because I asked for my money back. Referrals being sent to BBB and New York state attorney. read more

Not sure why you need an appointment when they don't even check you in with one. When you first pull up for service it is very unorganized and confusing. Which lane are you supposed to be in? Seems like the employees don't even know which lane you should be in. There are soooo many people working and not sure what everyone is "supposed" to be doing. Don was very friendly (service advisor). My appt was for 8:30 and my car was not even taken back for service till 9am. Could they be that far behind already today? Or I guess go back to my do you really need an appointment? Asked about a crack in my rear fender and Don told me they don't have a collision / body work shop here. I decided to update my review based on the action taken by Paul Galletti at the dealership. After I wrote my review, I also called-within an hour I was contacted by Paul and he apologized profusely and promised to do everything he could to make it right-and he delivered on that promise for sure! He was very accommodating and I feel MUCH better about the dealership! My boyfriend and I both had recalls on our cars we needed to get taken care of. We had to call 3 weeks in advance to get an appointment. The appointment was at 9:30am. I figured we'd only have an hour or so to wait, and I could go on with my day. When I handed over my keys, I was told I'd get my car back early afternoon. They'd give me a ride where I needed to go and pick me up when the car was finished. Great. 3:30pm rolls around with no phone call, no update. By that time I had to call in to work and tell them I wasn't coming in. My boyfriend called and left a message asking for a time estimate. 20 minutes later they called us back to let us know they were just now taking care of our cars. What would have happened if we hadn't called to remind them? They were FINALLY ready for pick-up at 5:30pm. Aside from that giant problem, we actually met some nice employees. The guy who initially handled my car talked to me about tattoos. The girl at the front desk talked to me about handwriting. The guy who drove us home talked about his old days at the bars. I'd choose a different dealership. Why? Because yesterday I spoke with Christina in "service" 3x asking about their Transmission Flush and Filter replacement. I asked if they used BG products and that they had time this week, I double asked her on the phone with my wife listening to our conversation on Speaker. She quoted me not once but twice $229.95 plus tax to replace Filter and do complete fluid flush on my 2010 Silverado. I even asked her a total with tax included $250. Plus change. I'd called around 7 different locations, 3 dealerships, shops and a transmission shop. Paddock and transmission shop were the highest. I chose Paddock the were $30 dollars cheaper. Plus I've got a Chevy vehicle and they use BG for the flush. I made the appointment for this morning Tuesday at 9:45 moved my schedule around, missed work and drove to paddock the 7 miles there early for my appointment. To only have them tell me this Christina messed up and the total for both was over $600. Then they got the service Manager try to discount it a little to over $400. All he said was I'm sorry, but that's the best I can do. Really? I wasted 45 minutes there for them to tell me they were recanting want she said. So I wasted time calling, talking, driving and sitting at Paddock. Just so they could say sorry we can't do anything except discount it a little. How about do what your trained employees quoted and scheduled a 1st time customer. Now I've got to waste more time going somewhere else! I'd save yourself money and headache avoid them. I bought a chevy trax from paddock about a year ago for my wife. Was pressured into buying a extended warranty that I really didn't want, I expressed my desire no to purchase one and the finance department wouldn't take know for a answer. I never had much luck with extended warranties and still haven't to this day. The finance department told me that the warranty would be bumper to bumper coverage. I was assured I wouldn't have any problems Because everything is covered. And even with good credit I was going to get Screwed on interest unless I agree to purchase the warranty. I was at paddock s service department on 11/17/20 due to a check engine light and the service department told me that the work needed wouldn't be covered under the superior warranty. I tried to plead the situation to management and was given the brush off. On 11/19/20 went to a service shop directly across the street from paddock. And had the car repaired at was treated far with far more respect than I was treated with from paddocks service department. I truly wish I would have made a vehicle purchase from West herr instead. Had an appointment Sat @ 10:00 that I made online via chart through Paddock's website. Salesman was not in despite 2 emails sent to me. Ok fine, stuff happens. Waited a bit for a new sales guy. I had a price in mind and looked at a vehicle to lease. Vehicle picked to drive had brake issues (a new vehicle mind you). Not the salesman's fault, but someone is dropping the ball. Then I was bounced around to 2 different seats for the sales discussion. Never once offered coffee or water. Trade in offer was an insult - $450.00 Lease price came in over my budget . Thought I may come back at 4 with my husband. Salesman was nice enough but clearly the dealership guidelines directed our negotiation. Had a 2:00 appointment the same day at Northtown KIA. What a difference! Short wait, beverages and COOKIES offered. No bouncing, felt like a priority. Vehicle lease price was below budget and my trade in was valued at $1650. We have a 2013 Equinox that was bought at Paddock. Up to last Thursday the vehicle was worth about 6,000. While driving, the car began to lose oil. We took it immediately to our mechanic. He said the problem was due to poor design by Chevy in placement of the rear oil bearing. In extreme cold they have an issue with frezzing up. Chevy has recalled some models for this problem, but not our model yet. We called Paddock, hoping they would help us with contacting Chevy and probaly purchasing a new Equinox. Customer service, Chuck, returned our call just before we were going to Paddock. He was disinterested in our problem and more or less said tough luck. All we wanted is for them to contact Chevy to see if they would help with some of the cost of the repair or be fair with a trade in value of the vehicle. Still walked away vowing never to go there again though. Fast Forward to 2010 - My husband, against my advice buys a used car from there. Have had nothing but problems. We purchased an extended warranty and took it in for repairs two weeks ago at a warranty deductible of $100.00, the service techs are "SUPPOSED" to do a 22 point safety inspection, however if they had done it, the vehicle would not be in for service right now, because they would have found the "new" problem when they did the inspection. Paddock damaged the undercarriage/rockerpanel of my car by misaligning the hoist while doing a routine oil change and tire rotation. I didn't find it until two weeks later and informed them even later than that so my expectations were zero. I asked for nothing and told him I expected nothing. Nevertheless, when I told Chuck about it he denied it and said I may have caused it. I repeated, "I'm not asking you for anything. I'm merely bringing it to your attention so that you can fix your process." So basically they called me a liar. Went to buy a Equinox that we test drove and the sales man said to come back on Friday to finalize the paperwork. When we showed, he says "OH sorry we sold that one already by mistake, but we have another one (w more miles ofcourse). Literally within a year of owning, had to get a rebuilt Transmission, and engine because of sludge (which GM knew about the whole time and offered to chip in half, wow thanks!). Still had to pay $2000. Now i bring it in for an oil change, thats it. And they replace 2 air filters without asking first for........$150. Filters i couldve got at Walmart for $20 max each. We were trying to buy 2- yes 2 vehicles here. We walked in just before close on a rainy cold night and a salesman - Greg Johnson- took his time and ran around the three buildings to help us out. He was very nice and attentive. Unfortunately after the deal was done and I went back to pick up the cars some other staff were quite. unpleasant and we cancelled our dealings. My car turned off while driving it. I had it towed to a shop. They thought it was a main computer problem so they told me I had to take my car to the dealer. I made an appointment for Saturday am. I dropped my car off the night before to ensure they could get it in early. I didn't hear back from them so I called repeatedly. You can't actually talk to anyone in service by the way. All calls go to voicemail. Finally I get my car back Tuesday. Yeah 3 working days after my appointment. They said nothing was wrong with it and then charged me $610...for holding my car, not letting me know what was going on and then saying nothing was wrong?!?! Cars don't just turn off while you're driving!! This is a safety issue!! Anyways after it has happened again I made an appointment with another mechanic that you can actually trust!! Hopefully they will figure it out. I will also be making a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and I will be doing my research to find any other consumer advocacy groups. If I could give Paddock a negative star, I would. We went with Paddock because we thought they were a reputable business but found that was far from the truth. Our salesman Mike was fantastic. He answered all of our questions and really was a pleasure to work with. We purchased the car on a Friday and were set to pick it up the following Monday evening. Late Monday morning, I received a call from Corey the finance manager stating that he just sent me a text message and that he needed the confirmation number from it. The message I received was from Capital One and I had deleted it because it was for a BuyPower card and I was not in the market for a new credit card. He told me he needed that number and he would resend the message. He then called my husband and asked for the authorization number from the text message he had sent him. Seeing we had only briefly discussed an auto loan with this man and that he was calling from the dealership, we assumed that this was for our loan financing and gave him the authorization numbers. We picked up the car that evening and everything was fine until we received 2 BuyPower Credit Cards from Capital One with SEPARATE accounts (although we cosigned on 1 loan for the car). Each of these cards had a credit limit of $5000. When we called the dealership to find out why this happened, we were told that they do this for everyone and to just "cut them up" if we didn't want them. Apparently they don't know how credit scores work. The general manager called me and tried to find out what was going on. He kept on insisting that an auto loan and the BuyPower credit card had nothing to do with one another and that everyone that is approved for an auto loan is pre approved for this Capital One card. They are obviously 2 separate things but when your finance manager calls you and tells you that he needs the authorization code for "the car", now they are not so separate. My issue is that I was never given an opportunity to "opt out" of these cards and they were opened without our knowledge or our consent. We have taken this to the NYS Attorney General, the BBB, and the Kenmore Police Department. Buyer beware... The finance managers have your personal information and apparently have no moral objections to using that information to open credit cards for you, in which we can only assume they are given some sort of incentive from the company for doing so. UPDATE: After receiving a response from the NYS Attorney General, we were informed that Corey Schachter got $100 incentive for each card he opened. Beware. The finance managers working for Paddock do not care about you or your credit. You are nothing but an opportunity to make a quick $100. read more

My husband picked up our 2017 Equinox today. The sales woman, Amy, told him this vehicle was comparable to our 2014 Ford Escape. And it was $20.00 dollars cheaper a month. They claim to have no money down leases. Why did my husband have to have the first payment with him today? Let's see what this Equinox is missing.....leather seats, can not open the back hatch from the car, can not open it from the key fob, can not press a button to close it. The sales rep had my husband drive a car with these features. Well, when he brought it home today, I asked is this the car he drove. Well bait and switch is alive and well at Paddock. He has been trying to call her, when the deal was not signed, she was available. For the last hour and a half, no such luck. read more

I own a 2009 Traverse That needed the timing chain replaced at 20,000miles and at 40.000 the transmission. That is alot of repairs on a $39.000 car. I called GM and they offered to pick it up and tow it into Paddock. When it arrived someone from service called me and asked why I brought it there and why didn't I take it to where I bought it from. Gm said they would have it looked at and gave me a claim #. They agreed that there would be something they could do. I had multiple hostile calls from the service dept but was then told they were just waiting from the ok from Gm to fix it and they would get me a loaner. Two days went by and they called me to say I would have to pay for 5 hours of labor to diagnose the problem and then they would let me know if GM would help. I told them I was not paying for that and that 2 other repair shops had already given me an estimate for free. They offered to reduce it to 2-1/2 hours at $100 per hour. If I didn't pay them to fix it I should get a tow truck to take it out of there. They were going to tear it apart and make me pay for that and then tell me what it would cost to fix. At that point I would be at the mercy of a service garage that I already did not trust. I am being told by a GM mechanic that GM knows what is wrong with these transmissions and should be recalling them. It breaks with no warning and left me stranded in the middle of an intersection. He said he was repairing one a week. My $39,000 car with 40,000 miles on it is now being towed to another shop who has given me an estimate upfront.. Why did GM tow it in there if they were not going to repair it. It sat there for 6 days for nothing. read more

I would strongly discourage anyone from purchasing, leasing or having a service done at paddock Chevy. I have had not one, but numerous bad experiences with this dealership. First of all when I traded in a previous lease from a previous dealership the finance manager did not fax my odometer report to the financial office so I was being billed for two cars while I only had one. After three months of being double billed, I was reimbursed the three extra payments as a credit on my gm financial account. Following this issue I received a bill in the mail for a missed payment back in October of 2016 for my previous lease (which I had traded in April 2016). So they are now trying to charge me for a car that the dealership had bought out and was supposed to be making the final payments on. Most recently I went for my first service at this location, a complimentary oil change service that I had received when I traded in my old lease for my current lease. When I arrived for the service I was not helped for 20 minutes. There were actually no employees in sight for about 20 minutes. There was a man in front of me who had been waiting for a half an hour apparently. He was offered a free service due to his wait time. I was not offered a free service due to my wait time, however I already was using a free service so that may be why. They were very unorganized in the service department, it seemed no one know what was going on and maybe they had bit off more than they could chew that day with appointments. When I returned 3 hours later to pick up my car they had lost my only key, because when I leased the car I was only given one key. They were very rude to me and offered me a pick up truck as a free rental as "it was all they had". I have to say, I haven't really had one pleasant experience at this location unfortunately, and I will definitely never be returning. In fact I will be trading in my lease elsewhere. read more

I can't help but think something shady happened when I leased my 2016 Cruze one year ago. The 2013 Cruze that I was turning in, was hit by someone while parked. Hit and run. Minor fender damage - cosmetic. No internal damage to anything. When I was in the process of leasing the 2016 they asked me if my 2013 was in any accidents. I told them just a fender bender. I was told that since a possible buyer of my "used" 2013 car would be able to see the accident report on line, I would not get all the discounts available. Are you telling me that a fender bender is reported to the car facts website? I was nervous and did what I was told so that I could have something to drive. I'm a 70 yr old female and struggling financially. I was there alone - maybe not such a good idea. To try and explain a little more, this occurred at the time I went for a new lease. I went into the showroom and was approached by a salesman (not sure if he was) who went to get another guy who had an "expert touch". The second guy ran his fingers around the back panel of the 2013 and said he could tell it was replaced. It would cost me. So, instead of getting all the discounts offered, I would get less. In addition, I had to put the $1,000 down which went on my credit card. This is on top of the $500 deductible for insurance. It's like there is no end. Maybe nothing wrong occurred something seems a bit shifty to me. Once my current lease is up, goodbye. I'm not planning to lease another car from Paddock. Can't afford them any more. read more

Recently I brought my 2008 Chevrolet Corvette for my yearly inspection and oil change it only has 7,200 miles I never had any problems with it always dealer maintained since day one insulated garage never driven in bad weather basically like a brand new car. After waiting a ridiculously 3 hours for an oil change and inspection Russell Clark one of the service reps told me my car was ready. I proceeded to get in my vehicle which was inside the shop and was told I should drive it out upon starting my car immediately it started to run rough I knew something was wrong but I proceeded to drive out down the street when the smell of burning oil engulfed the cabin of my car then the check engine light came on I immediately drove back to the dealer a half a block away told them what was going on they pulled the car in the back and stated the mechanic did get oil all over the exhaust and catalytic converter when he pulled the drain plug which is on the side of the oil pan but your oxygen sensor is showing that it is faulty they wanted to charge me $200 for a new sensor that just passed New York state emissions and inspection I told them that I was unsatisfied the car only had 7200 miles never had an issue or problem until I drove it to that dealership and left I notified Dwayne Paddock who's the president of Paddock Chevrolet he was very quick to the point that they weren't responsible for anything and these things happen everyday it's an electrical device that was his explanation I told him I was unsatisfied with that his service manager Chuck Briggs I had issues with in the past very unfriendly and I did not want to deal with him I am a disabled retired police officer never had an issue in my life like this Paddock Chevrolet could have done the right thing I feel that they are negligent I should fix my vehicle due to the fact that their machine may have shorted out my oxygen sensor I will never ever buy another car or bring one to Paddock Chevrolet they are the world's worst I'm sorry I recommended people to buy their vehicles from them apparently Dwayne Paddock 's britches are too big for him. I did call Chevrolet customer service unfortunately they can't help because dealerships are individually owned.
