The diagnosis and repairs were done at an amazing speed (put my last mechanic to shame), but to top the cake Aubrey Putnam, the customer care manager at Paddock was very nice and helpful and definitly knew what she was talking about, making it very clear and understandable what needed to be done. I did have to wait quite awhile for the finance guy to finish up the paperwork when picking up the vehicle . First, some background - I don't drive much, maybe 7 miles per day or less. I also don't drive on the thruway so my car never gets past 40mph or so. About a month ago, my 'check engine' light came on so I brought my car to Paddock since that's where I bought it. They 'fixed' it and explained that: 'the sensor will reset itself with some mileage, if the light comes on again just come back and we'll re-fix it.' After that, the check engine light never came back on. A month later - my car was due for inspection. I dropped it off on Friday, and was going to pick it up on Saturday due to working odd hours and not being available any time other than early-morning. My car 'failed' inspection because of something related to that original 'check engine' light wasn't computing with the diagnostic computer plug-in thing. The mechanic/guy I was working with told me to take the car on a 25-30 minute drive over the weekend at 55mph and that would 'reset the sensor' and the car would then pass inspection. He told me that I could 'come back any time' and that I 'didn't need an appointment' and that 'anyone could just plug it into this little machine' and that it 'would only take a few minutes.' I told him I get out of work at 7am and could come Monday morning and he said that was fine. So on Monday, after my car went for a nice trip with my husband on the thruway for a half hour, I dropped by Paddock at 7am. I was waiting in the drop-off line and a young man asked if I had an appointment. I said no, and explained the above as well as who told me all of the above. He went inside to check and then came out and told me that I couldn't be seen / they couldn't help me because I 'didn't have an appointment.' I got mad, went back home, and called the dealership. They really couldn't care less about this whole thing so I told the person that I was going to dispute the charges with my credit card company. Then, awhile later, someone there must have panicked and kept texting me to apologize and offering that I 'drop off my car any time today' to 'get this fixed.' But that didn't work with my schedule, which is why I initially said I'd come early-morning and they had agreed. To turn me away was a horrible business practice. If you tell a customer to come early-morning and the customer shows up early-morning: they should be taken care of early-morning. They shouldn't have to come back four or five hours later when they're not available to do so. I paid over $280 for this inspection and they didn't even complete it. I'll be following through with my credit card company to reverse the charges once they post since Paddock refused to complete the work that I paid for by turning me away when I showed up on time at the agreed-upon day. I'll also be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau because this is not okay. You don't treat customers this way, or you'll lose customers. I'll never buy a car from Paddock again and I certainly won't be taking my car there to be 'fixed' ever again. Please don't buy a car here, I've had nothing but problems with mine and nothing is ever really 'fixed' by their maintenance department. And their customer service is really lacking. read more

Brought my vehicle in with the issue I needed fixed already found. I advised the service representative I had a speed limiter on my van from the prior company that owner it that I wanted reprogrammed to remove so I could go over a certain speed. The service representative and a technician immediately said, "hmm not too sure about that", which should have been my sign to leave... After signing a "Diagnosis Fee Waiver" and leaving my vehicle with them, I left to walk my 20 minutes home. Right when I got home (only took them a few minutes to look at my vehicle?) I got a call from Paddock stating, "Yeah we think it could either be a speed limiter or some aftermarket wiring in the back causing this issue, do you want us to continue looking into it? It will cost you more." The aftermarket wiring was a single wire connected from a very obviously placed portable battery, up to a fan. Not connected to the van wiring in any way, and no modification to the stock van wiring have taken place. I said no, do not continue to charge me and picked up the van. So I basically paid a $110 diagnosis fee, although I had already diagnosed it was a speed limiter causing it, for nothing. Just seemed like a scam overall. I brought it to another shop, they agreed it was a speed limiter, and reprogrammed it within the hour to remove it. First impression was wow, they're a bigger dealership than I remember from 1990s! Clean, modern, & impressive show room upon arrival! We drove a black Equinox all wheel drive Premier! I couldn't believe how loaded this car was! I think my eyes and sensory were in overload, in the best way possible! The 2 toner beige/black leather seats were gorgeous! The inside of vehicle felt like luxury meets sporty all in one SUV! The outlets and charging options were endless, heated/cooling seats, lumbar support, 360 degree back up camera, heated steering wheel and soooo much more! We were shopping for our 20 year old daughter and myself to share a vehicle. The outside of Equinox was beautiful but wasn't sure if it was fresh & modern outside like the inside! I was worried suv was to big and loaded, coming off a car! This SUV feels solid like cars should still feel like! I can't say enough for the Professional and kind spirited salesman Ron & his colleague Frank! I was so impressed with this dealership! We had to decide between 2 SUVs today, at 2 different manufacturers/dealers! My husband decided Equinox was more than equipped, maybe too much, so we ended up with different manufacturer, yet I sit here wondering who the luckiest person to run into Paddock Chevrolet and lease/buy this unbelievable Equinox AWD Premier will be! I called to ask about an oil change stating I couldn't remember if they were free or how that worked (I have had leases in the past where the first 5 were free sort of thing). DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! They said they negotiate so I came in to see a specific car. The car I wanted to see, had 10k more miles than what was online. They had another one in a different color, but didn't look the same. I browsed around and found another car I really loved. During my test drive the windshield wiper flew off on the highway, there were also a couple other things wrong with the car. My sales person said to sit down and we can talk and run numbers. As I'm doing that, someone else test drives the car, puts there germs all up in it, more miles on the car, etc. I spoke out about how upset I was, wanted to look at the car again because its obviously not the same car anymore. They said they understood, but still came back with no money off for all these troubles, stress and aggravation they caused me. I asked for 1k-1500k off and even though all the above happened... Just bought a brand new Chevy Silverado 2500 on 03/23/24. Upon picking it up I noticed the steering wheel was not straight while driving in a straight line. After contacting the salesman Ron Zambito and informing me to come back to the dealership so we could go to service. After going to the service department we were told that there was nothing he could do for me until the vehicle has 750 miles on it cause this issue was caused by the shipping of the truck. I have never heard of this and there is nothing noted on the cooperate website about this issue or any were else on the web. If I would have test drove the vehicle and noticed it I guarantee you they would've fixed it immediately. My sales experience was nothing spectacular however I don't ask for or expect much. Also my purchase was unexpected and therefore unplanned due to demise of my previous car due to age. Since getting Arcee (my aveo) I have been coming to Paddock service for most oil changes and always for their vast mileage service menu. At first you would think there would be a family loyalty or customer loyalty plan. Both of my parents bought their cars here, most of their service happens here and yet even though the majority of my business is brought here I am just another schmuck. The service of the Customer Care Managers is inconsistent, some have looked into my previous service history to recommend what to do and others just up-sell the next higher cost talking above the average person's understanding. They also provide little to know follow-up. This includes by phone or sitting in the lobby.They must make enough on the markup that they dont need to sell on service. I'm not sure if taking too many appointments is a problem either however even though I make an appointment and show up well before my scheduled time I seem to be the last one served, pushed out to a later end time and end up taking the shuttle back to wait it out at home or walking to my parents' house. Overall car ownership is expensive and if you want to keep your car in great shape be prepared to shell out some bucks however without the cushion of great service the pain to the wallet is greatly felt. read more

Russell let me know that it would be about longer than normal wait times bc of them being short staff, not a problem... I'm left waiting all day for a follow up call to say that my car is ready. Come to find out the dealership closed and no one called me to say my car was finished. Extremely unprofessional and careless! I had to get to work and that threw everything off because a simple person could not do their job. My daughter is a College Student in Buffalo and lives minutes from Paddock Cheverolet so she took her 2022 Toyota Rav 4 with 18,000 miles on it to them for an inspection sticker. The car has had all of the scheduled mainatanace performed since new.They told her she needed new brake pads at a cost of $700.00 to pass the inspection and showed her a picture of some rust on the rotor and told that is why. Funny no picture or thickness of the brake pad was given to her. Thankfully she called me and I told her to take the car some place else and the car passed with no problems. I booked an appointment for service on my Chevy Tahoe. The person on the phone at the time of the booking was less than knowledgable but I got an appointment. I arrived as scheduled and was told that the service department was backed up and they probably wouldn't be able to get to my vehicle until the next day, which was a Friday. When I asked if possibly the vehicle would be in service through the weekend, the service advisor acknowledged that possibility. At the point, I declined the service appointment and took the vehicle to another Buffalo Chevy dealer, where I was treated with courtesy and respect. I would avoid service at this dealership because if they can't get scheduling correct, I wonder if they can perform service correctly and competently. Went in early in the morning Saturday to get an oil change. I thought I had an appointment through their website, but I guess it was lost due to bad Wi-Fi. However, I think that was a bad omen for me to avoid this place for future reference. What was initially supposed to be an oil change turned into a busted gasket, brake replacements, tire rotations, and more that I was able to handle financially. In my life time, I have purchased three cars. All were Chevy's and all from Paddock Chevrolet in Kenmore. On May 8th, I paid in full for a 2024 Chevy Blazer, again from Paddock. On May 14th, just seven days later, the car had to be towed back to Paddock as the transmission quit working. The car was not drivable. The transmission problem was a known issue as bulletins had already been documented by GM. Also, another Blazer was in the Paddock garage with the same issue. After 31 days in the shop, the service manager Dave, said the car was repaired and needed to be picked up. I expressed my concern over keeping the car, now that the New York state lemon law was in effect. I was directed to contact Steven Fildes, Paddock's general manager. Steven, said that my name was on the deed, and as far as he knew that meant the car belonged to me. I mentioned the Lemon law, and he replied "that is New York States Law, not Paddock policy" and then referred me to GM. I had been contacted by Dominic, a GM "executive team member" on May 22nd. Dominic ensured me that he was doing everything possible to get the parts for the vehicle shipped as soon as is possible. He did not say anything else of value across many other conversations. I contacted him after I spoke with Steven, I wanted to discuss my options under the New York Lemon Law, he directed me to the dealership. Dominic offered Chevy reward points as compensation, but refused to discuss anything further until I had picked up the car and "drove it around for the weekend". I am disgusted. If my communication and customer service skills were as poor I would not have a job. It amazes me, that these guys do. I have reached out to my attorney, and am pursuing legal options. In July, my husband and I came to Buffalo to visit our daughter who's currently in Graduate school. One of our goals while there was to buy her a car. After visiting several dealerships we decided to pay a visit to a Paddock Chevrolet because we owned a Chevy before and it was very reliable. We were met by Sales representative Sean Hennessy who was extremely friendly and a pleasure to work with. We then met with Todd Skinner who was also very nice during the car buying process. Then, we worked with Alissa Miller regarding insurance and plates and she was very patient and kind. Of all the car buying I've done in my 30 plus years, this was by far the smoothest and least stressful experience I've ever had. After leaving the dealership my husband and I were not a quarter of a mile away when our tire blew out. After having issues changing the flat, I called Todd Skinner. He showed up alongside Sean Hennessy to help and neither left until we had everything fixed. (Mind you, the flat tire wasn't even on the car we purchased from them!)These guys are a true blessing and we are so grateful to have come into contact with such kind people. I bought a car here recently but I will never go back and I'd never recommend this dealership to anyone. The salesman had no idea about the car he was selling me. He wasn't sure if it had been inspected or what work still needed to be done. His manager attempted to hold his hand through the sale by producing a print-out with the maintenance history/schedule and a car fax report to refer to but he still struggled. It was as if he knew nothing about cars or selling. Still, I liked the car. Despite the rough start I decided the price was right and I would buy it. He said it would be ready for me to pick up the very next day. It wasn't. I called to ask when it would be ready and got their voicemail. No call back, just vague texts from the salesmen. I attempted to call the manager, no dice. This went on for almost a week. Finally I said the deal is off, forget it, and wow shockingly all of a sudden it was going to be ready for me the next day. I had met with a financial adviser who gave me loan terms, fast forward to picking up my car and I had to meet with someone else who changed everything, the loan terms were completely different and he acted like the other guy didn't exist. The title even had a typo. Needless to say, the service was terrible. I could go on about the experience but to conclude I have no problem stating that as a consumer, I expect great service when I am purchasing a car. It is a serious and rare purchase and the car salesman should treat you and your purchase with respect. I feel that the owner of Paddock and his team of car salesmen are disrespectful and dishonest. For the record I did shop around at other dealers but ultimately wanted my Impala, which I do love. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews but the entire experience was stressful and people should know. Edit: I sincerely hoped someone from Paddock might read this review and respond. Called service for GM recall work - asked about vehicle - told them it was a GMC - was told it had to go to a GMC dealer after talking to GM direct - I was told they CAN do it & they just did not want to ---- because there no MONEY in it for them I will be sure to tell every one what a great service dept they have .....NOT read more
