This. This was what she wanted for her birthday dinner!!

Love the sushi here & party tray is always a hit for potlucks, just need to place your order at least 24-hrs in advance. Always reliable & fresh, people give you that look when you rave about Albertsons sushi, see for yourself. We love it here!

It's not very good. I decided to try it because of the reviews. Each roll is about 8 bucks. That's kinda what you'd get at a restaurant. Also, pretty skimpy on the fish and too much rice. It tasted reasonably fresh. To be fair, the sushi is maybe a low 3 star but if you're comparing this to an actual restaurant it's definitely a 2 star. I won't be coming back.

The Albertsons at Diamond Bar Blvd and Grand Ave has their own certified sushi chefs and super FRESH and DELICIOUS sushi! I was so impressed by their specialty rolls, especially their CRUNCHY DRAGON roll (shrimp tempura roll topped with spicy tuna) and the RAINBOW ROLL (cali roll topped with colorful sashimi). Yum! The prices are totally reasonable and the sushi is seriously TOP GRADE. It's just so convenient! Plus, since they're made fresh daily, you're guaranteed to get the freshest sushi and rolls. It's right by the deli section on the right side of the supermarket. Be sure to stop by!

not sure why people say not fresh? eating right outside of the market... on my way to a meeting... rice soft, good taste

The sushi is consistently fresh and delicious, and the Japanese side dishes are very authentic. You can really tell they care about quality, not gimmicks. Prices are very reasonable for the quality you get, which makes it an amazing value. If you're looking for great sushi without the hype or inflated prices, this place is a must try. Highly recommended!

Huge thank you to Yumi, who was an absolute angel and made us feel so welcome (like we were her grandchildren and wanted us to stay). The food was genuinely great quality and the portions were way more filling than expected. At first, I thought we hadn't ordered enough and i was mentally prepared to order more... but by the end, we were so full. Truly a lovely experience. They also give you complimentary edamame and cucumber salad, which was such a nice little bonus before the main event. One of my friends ordered the chirashi bowl and it looked like a bouquet of all kinds of fish. We also got the chef's assorted sashimi (amazing assortment) the ankimo special (SO good), and the 4 piece hand roll special (could probably skip this one and save stomach space). For nigiri, we ordered uni, toro, tai, and yellowtail (all amazing.) The uni was especially creamy and delicious. The salmon belly was mesmerizing, the yellowtail belly melts in your mouth and did I mention the ankimo? We also ordered a fish only tempura, and they even gave us our own tempura dipping sauce. It's the small details like that that really make a difference. 10/10, come hungry, leave very full and slightly emotionally attached.

I still enjoyed my meal and the service was very friendly and attentive with my water getting refilled several times. The fried food was nice and lightly crispy. The salmon collar was tender and a large piece. The baked lobster roll was too sweet with too much mayo. The sashimi and California rolls left a lot to be desired. Maybe it's because these are just the items that came included in a combo, and maybe it's because I didn't order the right things...but I wasn't too impressed given all the reviews about how this is the best Japanese food that needs to be discovered. I may be too spoiled by the higher quality sushi in South OC but to me the quality is more of a 3.5...but I rounded up.

The first time, I brought my parents, and they both loved it This time, I took my husband there to celebrate our anniversary This place offers great value for money--delicious food that's not expensive They've recently launched a new wagyu series featuring Kagoshima A5 wagyu imported from Japan (with certificates). We ordered three different wagyu dishes, and all of them were excellent The quality of the meat was truly outstanding--super tender and incredibly juicy. **Wagyu Donburi** -- One order is enough for a full meal. It comes with 5 slices of wagyu over rice, plus caviar and fresh wasabi sauce. Delicious without being greasy. **Wagyu Ponzu Carpaccio** -- Perfect as an appetizer. The sweet-and-sour flavor is incredibly refreshing. **Negitoro Toast** -- One bite gives you wagyu, caviar, and uni sauce all at once. The flavor was absolutely amazing **Ebisu Sashimi** is a must-order every time. It comes with 18 pieces, is fresh and delicious, and very reasonably priced. This time they changed the plating--it looked so fancy that I couldn't resist taking photos **Garlic Butter Udon** is great for kids. It's super fragrant without being overly salty. They also have two full pages of sushi rolls. So far I've tried five varieties, and all of them have been delicious Some are rich and savory, while others are light and refreshing. There's also a huge selection of appetizers and fried snacks. I especially love the **Baked Mussels** and **Jalapeño Bombs**. Who wouldn't love a hidden gem that's both delicious and beautifully presented? The atmosphere is great, the prices are amazing, and they even have a **BOGO 50% off deal on sushi rolls**

Tried the Ginza Sushi Omakase Set at $45 and had mixed feelings overall…read more I understand omakase means leaving it to the chef, so I had no expectations for specific items. That said, seeing cooked shrimp, surf clam, and octopus as a significant part of the lineup was a little underwhelming for the price point -- these tend to be more budget-friendly selections, and I was hoping for at least a couple of premium fish to round things out. On the bright side, the fish was sliced to a generous thickness, the sushi rice had a great texture -- well-seasoned and not overpacked -- and every piece was beautifully presented. I did request ice for my takeout order and it wasn't included, which was a minor disappointment. The restaurant itself is a standout. Spacious, modern, and well-designed without feeling crowded. The menu is impressively large -- sushi, sashimi, rolls, ramen, and more -- so there's genuinely something for everyone. It's on the pricier side compared to neighborhood sushi spots, but it's a solid choice for a group dinner where you want a nicer atmosphere over a quick meal.

Kamon Sushi - Rowland Heights…read more Kamon Sushi is one of the few Japanese restaurants that has managed to stand the test of time in the Rowland Heights area. I've watched the restaurant go through management changes over the years, but they've done a solid job maintaining a consistent mid-level quality while continuing to attract local customers. One of the biggest draws is still their business lunch pricing. The menu is extensive, covering sushi, bento boxes, kitchen dishes, and more recently, yakitori. My personal preference is their bento boxes. The two-item and three-item combinations, typically ranging from the mid-teens to low twenties, remain a dependable choice. Inflation has made them less of a bargain than they once were, but compared to similar Japanese restaurants in the area, they are still reasonably priced. Over time, Kamon has evolved into a more modern Japanese restaurant with a broad menu. The upside is variety. The downside is that I don't think they've found one category that truly stands above the rest yet. The yakitori is alright. The tempura is alright. The sushi is decent. The bento boxes are probably the strongest part of the menu. What consistently stands out is the service. The staff is friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which keeps me coming back. Kamon may not be the place for the best sushi, the best yakitori, or the best tempura in town. But if you're looking for a reliable neighborhood Japanese restaurant with a wide selection, fair pricing, and great service, it continues to be a solid choice.

The sushi tastes fresh, and one thing I appreciate is the rolls are always made well, nothing falling apart halfway through eating, which honestly says a lot about consistency. My kids were big fans of the tonkatsu ramen and finished it without complaints (which parents know is its own review category). The happy hour prices are also worth mentioning because you can order a decent amount without feeling guilty afterward. The biggest standout for us was our server, Bang. Friendly, attentive, and especially patient with my kids' food preferences. He was accommodating when we asked to modify dishes and gave recommendations. We placed the phone order for (1) roll and (2) macron ice cream things. (Which are already made and sitting in a freezer) We were told 25 minutes and so we waited about 20 minutes before I walked in to pick up my (1) roll, the only thing that required someone to make it. The front reception area was chaos with large parties waiting to be seated and scattered smaller groups of 3 or 4. I bypassed all that to get to the front and instead of a person is a tablet. All the human workers were scrambling around which told me they were "behind". I asked a worker about my phone order and she told me five minutes and took my payment. 35 minutes later I'm still waiting among the crowd who are also waiting to be seated. Workers are scrambling around like they just got trained that day. Confused looks and panic ruled the evening. Workers continued to jog past me to handing out drinks and trays of items and never checking back in with the small crowd. Confusion over clarity remained the theme as large parties asked why they haven't been seated yet. Small parties asked when they would be seated and I waited for (1) roll. A purely bad experience from start to finish from a place I've enjoyed in the past. The moral of the story is to expect the unexpected. Even though I've had pleasant experiences in the past here, I have to report the details of this visit based on its own merits and not prior visits. I ended up with my roll and it seemed like it was sitting back there somewhere ignored, like the groups waiting to be seated. It seemed not so fresh and like it was made 25 minutes earlier.
