I consulted with three commercially licensed plumbers/plumbing companies in the Everett area before deciding on and hiring PacWest Services to replace my aging water heater. I would highly recommend them in the future! Timely: PacWest Services returned my voicemail within half an hour, and provided me a quote just an hour after that. This was monumentally faster than the responses I got from the other two plumbers, which took almost 2 weeks each to provide quotes. Considerate and detailed: During my initial conversation with Justin from PacWest Services, I expressed my frustration with the slow response time and lack of information I'd gotten from the other companies I'd spoken with. Justin took that seriously and responded accordingly, promptly providing me with a comprehensive list of everything they would be replacing. Accurate: They advised me the quote was tentative because it wasn't based on an in-person evaluation (which I understood), yet the final price ended up being exactly what they had already quoted me. After 1 phone call and a couple pictures, it only took them an hour to accurately predict down to the dollar how much it would cost to replace the water heater, expansion tank, pan, and old gate valve. Those are two guys that know their craft and what they are doing. Honest: Both Justin and Eric from PacWest did expert quality work and were amiable during every interaction I had with them, be it on the phone, in text, or in person. I honestly knew within minutes of speaking to Justin that first time that I would end up hiring them to do the job. He - unlike my previous consults with other plumbers - seemed genuine and didn't give me the impression I was just a paycheck to him waiting to happen. Affordable: I know many of you reading this are wondering "Ok, but was it cheap?" No, but I don't believe they took advantage of me or that I paid more than was necessary to do the job right. I live on the 6th floor of a condominium complex - if my water heater leaks, I'm liable for any damage it does to every unit below me. That's the entire building - I don't want a sloppy job done on that. I'd rather pay now and have it done well than go into debt later because I hired someone who didn't know what they were doing and ended up with a water heater that leaked down 6 stories. As they say- "skilled labor isn't cheap, and cheap labor isn't skilled". If you want a cheap lousy job, look elsewhere. This is the second time we have used PacWest Services in the past few months for plumbing emergencies. (He replumbed a rental house after pipes burst in the recent freeze. He also reworked the defective sewer system.) This time we had an emergency with the propane hot water and circulation system at a vacation rental property. (Pinhole leaks in the copper piping flooded two rooms in the house.) We called PacWest on Friday. Justin said he would not be able to help until the following Wednesday. We had guests arriving the following Friday, but we decided to wait for Justin because we knew we could trust him to show up when he said he would. Meanwhile he had us send pictures of the system. He arrived exactly when he said he would--with the new tank and all fittings to do the job. Note: It was a big job, but Justin stayed until everything was finished. We called Justin on the referral of another friend (who also had a full kitchen remodel and was a satisfied customer) to get an estimate on rough-in for our new kitchen and to install a couple of new toilets. He showed up on time and got a bid back to us that evening. He was very detailed in his explanation of work to complete, gave us options for installation of the ice-maker and the overflow for the dishwasher, gas line, etc. We asked his opinion several times and are thrilled we took his suggestions. On rough-in day, they arrived and got to work. They cleaned up after themselves, when one of the toilets I ordered had a broken part, that was taken care of and I learned that it is best (and often less expensive) to just buy through a plumber rather than on-line! The work was impressive and Justin clearly explained everything he did. Our toilets were beautifully installed with no mess left over whatsoever. Justin came back to install our fridge, faucet, range and dishwasher. Once again, he did an incredible job and put up with us chatting with him while he worked. Justin was a pleasure to work with, he explained all the reasoning behind both the estimate and what he was finding during the work. He gave me a thorough written estimate before starting the work with different areas and costs broken out so I could choose which areas I wanted to prioritize. I believe the costs were quite reasonable. After I decided on the scope of work he then provided a timeline for when the work would be started, but ended up fitting me in a week early, which worked out great for me. Justin kept me up to date the whole time the work was being done so that I knew which areas would and wouldn't be available. He always made sure we had at least one working bathroom. One of the things I particularly appreciated was that Justin and the crew kept all the areas clean and tidy, definitely by the end of each day, but usually even while they were working in a specific area. At the end of the project I received a written review of the work done and of the additional hourly work we had agreed on. Justin and Eric were absolutely amazing. We needed to replace a water heater in our home and Justin gave us multiple options and the pros and cons of each. He was extremely diligent in his investigation to allow for giving us the most accurate prediction of what type of wh would work for us and our home. Once installation was started, he and Eric were there until the job was completed the same day to ensure the job was done and our family could have our water turned on again. We had the unfortunate experience to also have a sewer back up the very next day, and they were extremely gracious and helpful in fixing the problem. I called PacWest on a Saturday afternoon and left a message with Justin, he call me back almost immediately. We set up an opponent for Monday morning even though Justin was willing to come out that day after a few appointments he already had. I told him I was fine waiting, also the super bowl was the next day, and I had a party to go to. So he was more than accommodating on the opponent time with me. After taking a look around he noticed a problem that even my Home inspector neglected to see. I had no access point to clean out my main sewer line. He gave me multiple options to work with, after a we talked out the pro and cons of the best way to do this, I chose to have him install a new access point. After he meticulously built the new access pipe not only for him in mind,but put it in a location with easy access for the next plumbing company to access it as well. Justin (and Justin) of PacWest Service Plumbing came to our rescue after a bad and very expensive experience with an emergency plumber we had called. Not only was PacWest able to fix the faucet waterline that the original plumber indicated wasn't fixable, they also correctly installed the garbage disposal that the previous plumber installed. After looking at our plumbing Justin explained in detail that we were not code compliant after a previous owner's kitchen remodel and gave us a very reasonable rate to remedy the situation. They both came back a few days later after parts were ordered, making quite a few corrections to our kitchen plumbing. Not only is our plumbing up-to-date, but we now have good water pressure. Both Justin and Justin were great to work with and extremely hard working, helpful, and courteous. The prices were incredibly reasonable and we were given well-explained options and estimated costs. Justin and team basically saved us from having a huge back up mess in our house. A sinkhole appeared in our front yard and started having plumbing issues. A friend referred Justin. He was quick to respond and prompt. After a 6 hour day of digging, he discovered cracked pipes. On day two, he dug up the sinkhole and discovered broken, collapsed pipes. We had no idea how big of a job this would turn into. Justin was upfront about the process and cost of what needed to be done. He and his crew worked on our house for two weeks, always polite and gave us updates everyday. He was patient with us as we worked through fully understanding everything that needed to be done. We had to have all new sewer pipes (and toilet). While our yard, driveway and deck were completely taken apart, they put it all back and it looks as if nothing ever happened. I am doing a bathroom remodel in a 1906 North Everett home and I struggled finding a plumber who I trusted to do the job right and not come in with some crazy/unrealistic bid to do the job. Justin was fast in response, came out and bid the job right away. He told me exactly what needed to be done in order for him to start and then told me to give him a call when I was to that place in my remodel. Once I called him, he moved his schedule around to fit mine and made things happen.... Justin from PacWest Services, was able to come out the same day in the middle of winter and make a diagnosis, in which he ordered the part for the next day. Justin was hired by the owner of our house to do a pretty big update with pipes in our home. He spent the last 2 days here busting his behind installing new pipes, fixing the way outdated ice machine hook up behind our fridge, replaced the rusted sink in one of the bathrooms, installed a new dishwasher and fixed a shower head for us. Mind you this house was built in the 60's and has probably had little done by way of renovations. Justin and Eric were professional, friendly and oh so very helpful. I bought a house that had all galvanized pipes that I wanted to have replaced before I moved in. After some unsaftisfied experiences with some other companies a friend referred me to PacWest. PacWest made time to meet me within my rigid time frames, they worked with me on how to keep costs down, and were readily available to answer any questions that came up. Having used their services in the past I wanted to see if Pacwest would come out and give me an estimate on installing a new pump for the side sewer. Instead he spent several hours with me on the phone, asking questions and going over pictures that I sent him. This occurred on Labor day when many other business are typically unavailable. They gave great advice on how I could solve the problem without using their services. After explaining my plumbing issue, Justin broke down how much the solution services would cost (WITHOUT me asking for a quote). Won't ever use them again. He put a Nick in my new wooden toilet lid and said he would take care of it. When I called him to make good on it he said he couldn't afford to cover it because I promised him I would pay him to finish the job and I hired someone else. Really? Are you that broke? Hmm. Eric expertly diagnosed the problem, came up with solutions, and fixed the issue promptly. Two bathtubs were draining slowly and most importantly the handle was not working appropriately and water was every where. He placed a new cartridge in the handle, installed a new spout, snaked the 2 tubs and we were back in business. He went above and beyond installing the spout, and resealing the other handle that had pulled away from the wall. He then problem solved, by testing the water pressure, that is was way too high and needed to be fixed down the road.
