There a lot of well reviewed moving company on Yelp, I went with Packman Moving Company because Denis on the phone was very professional, clear and good communicator . So I hoped if they had that much attention to detail ahead of the move maybe that was a green flag for the service itself . Spoilers - I was right They were great-professionals , courteous , and efficient , and fulfilled their job throughout the whole gig . They initially did the walk through of what needed to be packed and make sure we had everything packed before we heading out to our new place. They weren't hasty and for 4 guys had communicated a team work effort .Would definitely recommend and hire them again. Handled my items with great care were fun to chat with guys as well which makes a long work move Better. Very flexible on the arrival time . As I requested the come at the afternoon window time and was hard work making sure the job was done ,even through the late evening and did everything very professionally with great attitude and smile . They were also good with helping me pack a few of of very old and valuable items with wrap and putting small things into a bigger box . At the end they got everything into place , unwrapped everything they had in protective wrapping , cleared out all of the trash and cleaned up everything else trash and stuff. Now, I know what you're thinking...this is a nice write-up...shit sound fake. Well it's not, cuz I just cussed. If this was fake, I wouldn't be saying no bad words. I'm also going to mention a few mishaps with the move because shit happens and the real world isn't all sunshine and rainbows: - my fridge got a small ding. It's a big-ass fridge that they had to bring down a skinny flight of stairs, then squeeze through a tiny doorway at my new place. I ain't mad. Again, not upset because these are huge appliances (washer, dryer, fridge) they had to squeeze around narrow hallways, stairs and corners. Which was very difficult and challenging time for the team but they did it best they can . Overall minor mishaps don't take away from the hard work these guys did. They tried to be as careful as possible, and were constantly calling things out like 'watch the wall," "don't hit the chandelier"... know they were really trying their best to watch out for my stuff without damaging the buildings. Shoot, if it were me trying to move this stuff by myself, all my walls and floors would be smashed and my appliances would look like they fell off the truck. This is why you hire professionals, and that why I would hire Packman moving company again if I need some heave lifting done. And some more things I forget to mention, they have very competitive pricing if you check it with other companies around . The Lead of the team on our move was so good and professional I would asked for him the second time . As you all know moving is an absolute headache, but they really helped make it smoother transaction . I absolutely recommend them if you are looking to move . Book with confidence . Got a quote from Denis. He was so patient, helpful and upfront about estimated costs and emailed me a quote. A week later I called back and spoke with Art to book the move. Art pulled up my info from before so I didn't have to waste time repeating everything. Art was very reassuring about any worries and answered all the remaining questions I had. I confirmed the service through email and paid a deposit that was deducted from the final bill. It was really easy. Day of moving, Mark and Mike arrived on time - early in the morning. They were very upbeat, affable and professional. The company was so modernized, Mark had an iPad for me to sign at the start of the job and the time was tracked on the iPad. Mark and Mike wrapped and packed everything with great care. They were so polite and well-mannered that even my mom loved them! The packing and move took many hours and you could tell it was very hard physical work. Yet Mark and Mike remained good spirited, calm and motivated the entire day. Their great attitude really helped with the stressful day. I was so happy and relieved once all my things were in my new place. Mark had me sign off on the job on his iPad, and the final costs were clearly itemized. Not bad, but wouldn't hire again. The good: our stuff got moved. The bad: they dropped several pieces of furniture down our stairs. I understand one but two or so (and giggling about it) isn't good. They did not cover the stairs as every other professional moving company we've had ever has done. The result: us having to pay extra in both homes to clean the carpets. They left the floors exceptionally dirty. They lost the cushions to our outdoor couch so now we have to replace that ($200) as well. They didn't wrap the tv or expesenive art. They sat in our lounge chairs and smoked when taking breaks. It felt unprofessional... They didn't unwrap the furniture they did pack which again was a first. We had to ask them to put couch back together which is standard. The kicker? After one of the movers took a stinky shit in our new home's bathroom and left dirty footprints all over the new white floor, the foreman hovered over us to make sure we left a five star review. We regret hiring them. It's possible other crews do a better job, but after they left and we saw the missing items and damage... we were bummed to say the least. Packman Movers From the start, the owner/ manager was very clear and up-front about pricing, and all paperwork was done in a professional, user-friendly manner before hand, online. There was excellent communication (THE most important quality I look for in a hired service) from beginning to end. The two gentlemen that showed up were very professional- friendly and smiling, and introduced themselves as Mark and (I'm sorry-I forgot the other gentleman's name ) I was given a one hour window of when they would arrive and they drove up within that window. They boxed and taped and secured everything that wasn't perfectly secured by myself. They laughed and joked with each other, as well as with me, the entire time which definitely helped with the anxiety I had going on that just happens with moving, etc. At the new place they asked where I wanted them to place boxes/items before they set them down, took apart my bed and bed frame at my old place and set it back up at the new place in a jiff. No hidden fees were encountered (which was a pretty big fear of mine). David and his team were amazing! Three big and strong guys came in time. They wrap all of my furniture in a minutes. They reassemble all huge items to make it path through narrow hallways with care. The whole process took only 6 hours which i would considered very fast for 3 bedroom home. If I remember correctly last time we did the moving it was 8-9 hours . This guys was was above and beyond my expectations. Both loading and unloading process were made in a very accurate way . They didn't touch any single wall while carrying all the belongings same goes for floor. The whole team were looking professional they were uniformed , the track was clean and all the appliances that thy used were new and nice . Overall I am very recommending the following company . Mark, Art, and Roma helped us move our life (two adults in their late 30s and two small children) yesterday and I can't get over what a great day it was (for a moving day....). They were literally the most amazing dudes in every capacity... Hard-working, strategic, efficient, careful, and also kind, warm, and sweet. They didn't even ding one piece of furniture or a wall. They cared for every item as if it were their own and did it all with positive energy! They were very reasonably priced as well. You're a fool to go with any other company! I can't say enough how incredible SOS moving was in helping my wife and move into our new place. Jose, Benny, and Freddy were so kind, helpful, and patient, and of course SO fast. We had an unreal amount of stuff crammed into our two bedroom condo, and they had everything safely wrapped and moved quickly without seeming rushed or stressful (which is super important when moving - gotta keep the stress down).
