I was shopping around for a 5 star moving company that was also reasonable and affordable. Out of everyone I got quotes from, Adept Movers had the best price. I spoke with a woman over the phone who was very professional and helpful. She made the booking process really easy and was able to accommodate all of my requests. I had multiple drop offs and they were able to accommodate everything I needed without any issues. On moving day, Alex and Lev arrived within the time frame I was given. They were both very knowledgeable, professional, and efficient. They knew exactly how to break down my bed and take down my TV. The Alexes (2) came to Monterey Park today and started work at 920am to pickup 2 dressers, mattress, nightstand, giant rug, 3 garage metal shelves, and tons of boxes to drop off at 2 locations. They were so fast and efficient we finished in 3 hrs (with the 1 hr double time to drive to LA). Even with asking them to be my muscles to redesign my bedroom by taking my existing bedroom furniture to move to place the new rug on top, changing out the mattress, moving boxes to place the metal shelves. $400. Guys were great love this company this has been my 6th move with them. My 5th move with them happened on Aug 21 at the same Monterey Park location with Ilia, Serge and Vladimir. They were there the whole day since my parent's house had 30 years of stuff and we needed full service with that move. Parents had to move to senior condo so you can imagine 3000 sq ft to 1100 and choosing what was going to the condo. They were there from 910am to 730pm. It was $1650 since it was 3 guys full service, buying packing products and all. They did a fantastic job carrying a rosewood dining table for 6, 2 giant Chinese decorative cabinets, bedroom furniture and all without a scratch. Fridge took some maneuvering. I really felt for them going up and down 2 sometimes 3 flights of stairs. Couldn't have done that crazy move without them. Highly recommend. Will need them again next month for the stacked washer dryer stuff. read more

I chose this moving company because they were highly recommended and appeared highly qualified. Unfortunately, my experience did not match their reputation. When the crew arrived, one mover (Brian) walked through my place and immediately said the job was "too big," then tried to upsell me on adding another mover for $40/hr before even starting. Once they began, they wasted time grabbing small items instead of focusing on the furniture, even after I asked them to prioritize the larger pieces. I was told they would disassemble and reassemble my furniture -- they didn't. I ended up doing it myself. The expected cost was $362 (109×3 + 35). They stayed until 6:15 PM, charged $371, and I still paid $400 cash just to get the job over with. To their credit, customer service did reach out to me personally by phone and email, and they issued a full refund for the inconvenience. I appreciated that. However, after the refund, they contacted me again and offered money to remove my review, which goes against Google's review policy regarding incentives for altering or deleting honest feedback. That part was extremely disappointing. Overall, the movers themselves were inefficient, didn't complete the tasks promised, and created more stress than relief. The refund was appreciated, but the attempt to pay me to remove my review was unacceptable. read more
