Everyone that I had spoken with up to this point made me feel like they eere trying to squeeze as many people in as they could and for a high price. Now don't get me wrong....I totally get that you have a business to make money. But I just felt like another number and that made me question whether or not they would treat my belongings with care. However, the minute I spoke to Rachel on the phone with SC Movers, I knew that was the company that I wanted to go with! She was genuine and personable and answered all of my questions. They were also very fairly priced! Fast forward to moving day, Shawn and Cain were a few minutes early which we appreciated. They took a few moments to find out exactly what we needed and quickly accomplished it. My roommate and I were both impressed with how professional, friendly, and efficient they were. AND - they took great care of our stuff!!! So fast forward a few days. We were struggling with getting the rest of our belongings out before the final move-out date. Not that we were slacking - we just have too much stuff. Lol I called Rachel again (and, of course, she was as nice as she was the first time) and asked if there was any chance that the guys could come out in the next day or two to help again. They accommodated us the next day and did a fantastic job. So thank you, SC Movers!!! Highly recommend and will definitely use again if there's any need in the future!

Granitepoint@sares-regis.com…read more WARNING: If you are a woman moving alone, I would strongly caution you against using this moving company. My experience with this company was extremely stressful, disappointing, and anything but hassle-free. I hired this company specifically because I wanted a smooth, stress-free moving experience. Unfortunately, that is not what I received. Immediately after getting off the phone with Anthony regarding the moving quote, he began pressuring me to pay the $200 deposit. I explained that I would submit the deposit once I had finished my work meeting. Despite communicating that clearly, he continued texting my phone about the payment. I found this pushy and unnecessary, especially considering I had already told him I intended to pay. Looking back, this should have been my first red flag. I live in an 800-square-foot, one-bedroom apartment with two TVs, one queen-size bed, and a vanity. Before the movers arrived, I had already packed up my bathroom and laundry room. I expected the move to take approximately 3-4 hours, with the movers only needing to pack the kitchen, bedroom shoes, and clothing. Instead, it took SEVEN HOURS before we even left my original apartment, despite the new apartment being only five minutes away. Anthony specifically told me that the movers would unmount my TVs and their wall mounts. However, they showed up without the necessary tools to complete that service. I also specifically asked Anthony whether the move was going to take eight hours because, if that were the case, I did not want to continue with the move. Unfortunately, my concerns were not addressed, and the experience continued. The entire move ended up taking approximately nine hours. During the move into my new apartment, the movers also put a hole in my wall, and my rugs were left filthy. These are additional problems I now have to deal with after paying for what was supposed to be a professional moving service. I do want to acknowledge Irving, who was the only person I can honestly say was consistently working hard. He deserves recognition for his effort, and I appreciate the work he put in. However, that does not excuse the overall experience or the company's failure to deliver the services promised. After everything, I was told I owed $1,600 on top of the $200 deposit I had already paid. For the excessive time, inconvenience, unfinished work, multiple belongings left behind at my old apartment, and TVs that were never unmounted as promised, I was offered only a 5% discount. To make matters worse, the moving crew remained outside my home waiting for payment until I rendered it. I felt pressured to pay for a service that had not been completed as agreed. I am now out $1,100 and still have an incomplete move. I have to hire another company to finish what I originally paid this company to do. This was supposed to be a hassle-free moving experience, but instead it turned into an exhausting, expensive nightmare. Between the pressure to pay the deposit, excessive moving time, unexpected charges, failure to deliver promised services, damage to my new apartment, dirty rugs, belongings left behind, and pressure surrounding final payment, this experience was completely unacceptable. If you are considering hiring this company, please get EVERYTHING in writing, including estimated hours, hourly rates, additional fees, and exactly what services are included. I would especially encourage women moving alone to have someone present throughout the entire process. I hired professionals to make my move easier. Instead, I was left with additional expenses, damage to my new home, unfinished work, and unnecessary stress. I would not use this company again, and I cannot recommend them based on my experience.

From the moment they arrived, it was clear I was dealing with pros -- not just guys who show up with a truck, but people who take pride in doing the job right. Larry is one of those rare people who makes everything feel easy. He's calm, organized, and communicates clearly, which instantly takes the stress level down. Ray is the perfect counterpart -- strong, efficient, and incredibly detail‑oriented. Together, they work like a well‑oiled machine. They handled every piece with care, strategized the move like it was a chess match, and made sure nothing was rushed or sloppy. What impressed me most was how easy they were to work with. No attitude, no drama, no hidden fees, no "we can't do that." Just solid, honest, hardworking guys who show up ready to make your life easier. They treated my home and belongings with respect, and they treated me with respect -- which is something you don't always get in this industry. Heavy Lifters Moving deserves every bit of praise I can give. Larry and Ray are the kind of people you want on your team during a move -- reliable, friendly, and genuinely good at what they do. I'd hire them again without hesitation, and I'd recommend them to anyone who wants a smooth, stress‑free moving experience. Five stars isn't enough. These guys earn ten.

When I was sitting on the floor of the storage unit place to open the bluetooth lock, (which I was more than happy to do), they noticed and made me a moving blanket throne and that was only in the first 10 minutes to show you what kind of attention to comfort and detail they have. Same thing when randomly Sergio puts two cold redbulls in front of us to drink. Usually I bring cold waters for movers, the roles have never been reversed like that before! When they had to make two trips, the guys didn't even take a lunch break until it was basically dinner time, at which point Sergio was so apologetic and I'm like please, go eat omg you've been working for like 10 hours nonstop. When previous movers somehow lost the screws for my headboard, Sergio found his own screws that would fit and made up for ANOTHER COMPANY'S mistake and this was at the very end of a 16 hour move. We all were exhausted and I said oh it's totally fine, it wasn't your fault and all 4 guys said no we'll see if we can make it right (at 1:30 am). Even though the final total was higher than the Not-to-Exceed price we were quoted, the guys worked so hard and so long and did so many things that a regular moving company would just say "we tried, oh well" and move on that my mom and I actually felt bad that we only did a hundred dollars per guy for tip and so I was happy to pay a bit more. But then, the next day, we get a call and they say hey we see you paid more so we want to honor the quote and give you the difference back as a refund. Frankly, if we were more awake when we got the phone call, we would have said keep the difference and give it to the team. Genuinely cannot recommend them enough. The only thing I would fix is obviously being told after the in-person quote that it would be able to be done with two trucks and one trip. It definitely needed the equivalent of 4 trucks and if we had known, we probably would have split the move up multiple days. The other thing is that we were left with a lot of plastic wrap on the side of the house. They attempted to put some in the can, but there was not enough room for all of it and we will be stuck with the plastic for a couple weeks until the can can fit it all.

Would use them again!
