It was around 1230pm and k asked the older shoulder length hair lady if I could have a blue ktsf giveaway tote bag. She said come back at 1. I also asked if I could have a anson lo mini poster on the table and she gave me like the smallest one. Not really a big deal. But the vibe I get from this booth team was not good. If you aren't enthusiastic about ktsf or connecting with people who enjoy your programming, then why bother setting up a tent. Mabye I am not their target audience. I heard them complaining that things get snatched up so fast. Well it's a free event. The least you can do is fake it and.act professional. Don't complain about people taking freebies (I didn't take any, I think they were saying in general about not having a lot of promos left). So disappointed today in ktsf. I didn't actually take a photo of their booth but I have a photo of the carnival to prove I was there. The ktsf booth was towards the back, near the drop off area of parking and across from bouncy castle kids section.

It seems to be a prevailing problem with our broacasters. Most famously among the errors: "restauranteurs", "Wimpleton" and now "Council-General." Consul-Generals of other countries are pronounced exactly as they are spelt - a council is an entirely different title. I'm sure Consuls must wince when they hear themselves referred to as Councils; we owe it to them to address them correctly..

Certainly 'Inside the Actor's Studio,' with egregiously pompous host James Lipton, is geared towards theatrical types (despite the questionable inclusion of subjects like J Lo and Rosie O'Donnell). More puzzling is who they hope to reach with the rest of the schedule - reruns of 'The West Wing' and 'Law & Order: Criminal Intent' (they share parentage with NBC), celebrity poker competitions, and a seasonal series like 'Great Things About the Holidays,' the type of dreck in which E! and VH1 specialize. When Bravo takes a misstep, it tends to fall off a cliff - 'Situation: Comedy' - in which two teams of writers competed to win a time-slot on NBC with comedies so dismal they made the current 'Must See TV' Thursday line-up look good - was so dreadful it quickly was relegated to Fridays at 7:00pm, and few viewers cared what 'Being Bobby Brown' was like, or to what depths his one-time pop diva wife Whitney Houston has sunk. There was a time when Bravo showed promise, but lately the infomercials for skin care products and bodybuilding programs they air during the morning hours sometimes are the best thing they broadcast all day. Update 6/23/06: Bravo actually has started advertising itself as the gayest network on TV. It's nice to see them finally come out of the closet.

It was no different yesterday afternoon. Coming from the City we took Skyline Blvd then Hwy 1 South. We decided to take the Sharp Park Rd exit thinking it'll be easier to find a parking spot. Luckily we found a spot in the neighborhood on the east side of Hwy 1 on Brighton St. We then hiked over to Fogfest on Palmetto. I'm guessing we walked 1 1/2 miles. This being our first street fair this year we took our time strolling along. What impressed me were the banners that identified which vendors were Pacifica local. Our intent was to catch a local band at the South stage besides strolling around. We found seating around 2:20pm for the band that was scheduled to perform at 2:45pm. Some folks brought their own folding chairs. The weather was overcast. It started to get chilly around 3:45pm. It was a festive atmosphere and a good size crowd. We chose a great street fair to go to.

So much better than in Los Angeles. I'll start this review by stating I'm a long time customer & haven't had to call very often over…read morethe many years that I've had the service. Long story short, the cable/power clicked off unexpectedly on my bedroom TV last night. Tech Suppirt was useless in troubleshooting & resolving the problem. A Supervisor returned the call several minutes before closing. What a waste of time all around!!! :( I called this morning (800-531-5000) & was assisted by "Matthew". After trying to resolve the problem & not being successful, he suggested an upgrade of the cable system/boxes/remote at NO charge. I have a customer protection plan that covers service calls. He was helpful in setting up an appointment for later in the week. I asked that they call if there's a cancelation & I could get an earlier appointment. He documented all of the details on the request. I felt reassured that the problem will be resolved. Hopefully, all will go well on the upcoming service appointment & I won't have to call Direct TV for a very long time. :)

I've now wasted TWO full days waiting on a technician who never showed up, and no call, no update, nothing. Just complete disregard for my time. On top of that, their customer service is an absolute nightmare. Endless transfers, zero accountability, and no one seems to have any idea what's going on. It's frustrating, exhausting, and honestly unbelievable that a company can operate this way. When you do actually speak to a person, they are condescending and rude! At this point, I wouldn't recommend DirecTV to anyone. Save yourself the time, money, and stress.. go literally anywhere else.
