Tasha was our waitress and she was very polite and had a calm, gentle attitude. We enjoyed our meal and she made it a pleasant experience!

The coverage seemed more upbeat and energetic. The photography seemed more vivid and sharp. Maybe they had better camera shots. Just too many commercial breaks.

Republic Services had a strike and for two weeks we got no service…read more They still charged us for service. No amount of calling and complaining would do anything to these shysters. They would lie on the phone, be rude as possible, and do everything but admit we shouldn't be paying for their strike. I got "it wasn't us who was on strike, you need to bring this up with your city" and every excuse possible. I pay Republic for the "service," not my city. They would not give any kind of refund. I contacted 7 on your side and a guy named Brinke was really great. For a couple months he was on them. He would get back to me every couple weeks and ask if there was any change. The thing is even for two weeks it's not that much money - but no one should be paying for a service we never received, even if it was just a dollar a week. I let Brinke know these people were super rude to me (I believe they were harassing me at one point, charging me for garbage six inches over the rim, something we've done 20 times and never been charged for, now all of a sudden getting a charge because of my complaining). I just wanted to give a very positive notice to Brinke and 7 on your Side for taking the time on this - it was a very minor thing in the overall scheme of things (I know they've got far more major situations they're dealing with) and I was hoping a lot more people would contact 7 on your side for this particular matter (only one other that Brinke told me did), but either way, great job, going above and beyond to work on this matter.

With the first televised game at the new Chase Center, NBC Bay Area Sports needs to up their game. Throughout the telecast, they actually think this pre-season game counts. The Warriors close a 20 something point deficit and they comment about a comeback? This duo sound like overzealous Little League T-Ball parents. Azubuike played four seasons with the Warriors (2006-10)? Can't recall him. Jim Barnett, the veteran announcer, is going to be moving over to the radio coverage. I'm going to turn off the TV sound and turn on the radio or watch on NBATV!

The way you frame a story can make all the difference - I knew a lot about the specific subject and could see immediately that there were missing pieces to the puzzle. The piece in question was three minutes and fifty six seconds. I dug like a gopher to see more about the same story. ABC 7 had a story that was eight minutes and nineteen seconds and was a great piece of investigative reporting. It went in depth and put forth facts - was less about coming to ridiculous conclusions without finding experts to talk of the subject first. I then researched the specific issues in question and got firsthand data on the event. Within ten minutes of my own investigation I saw how lots of facts were left out - facts that make the mysterious element of the story seem more clear. I usually find the news comical in how witnesses give their personal opinions of random events. Usually its a clear issue or event to speak of and for dramatic effect they show some witness that looks good on camera - but the piece I saw was so wrong - even if they had obvious time constraints in their length of the story. The piece NBC put forth was shameful. I believe it was successful in doing what it was designed to do - get attention.

I got to attend the KQED FEST of 2026. It was my first time visiting the headquarters, and the space was just dopamine inducing: open space, walls of windows, areas that just scream community cultivation. There is so much to do at KQED Fest, and this is a FREE event! There was a variety of spaces designed especially for creative kids: painting, playing, looking under microscopes. There were also a good offering for the adults: panels, presentations by NPR, and auditions for Check Please, Bay Area! And if none of that sounds interesting than feel free to take your pick of tours, a stage with local live music (by such greats as: Tiny Desk Concert winner Ruby Ibarra or the 2024 KQED Bay Area Showcase winner Misa James), bingo, and lots of great food and drinks. Of course, I grabbed a little KQED swag as a physical souvenir of the day. I'm hoping (make that manifesting) I'll attend a live taping of any of the wonderful shows filmed right there at the headquarters. Thank you for opening up this incredible space for the public to visit. Attending KQED Fest fulfilled a dream long in the making for me.

These events are always eye opening and I always learn something new about food, culture and traditions. KQED is great public television and serves the Bay Area with educational insights as well as entertainment content. Upcoming events can be found on KQED.org. Some events book up quickly and tickets prices are reasonable. Definitely will be back for more events.
