The studio recently closed for about 10 days to replace the floor mats. While they were closed, I went to another studio in a nearby city to do Inferno Hot Pilates. It had a much larger space. I thought it was kind of neat, but I noticed that almost everyone did not speak to the person near them. During the class no one made any noises. There was no "hooting and hollering." Even when the instructor asked how everyone was doing, no one said anything. The classes were ok at first, but by the 3rd class it became boring. There are a lot of regular yogis at Sangha. We are friendly and we talk to each other and to the new people if they want to talk. If you're new, you're encouraged to go at your own pace. You rest when you need to rest. We also "hoot & holler." There's a lot of energy in the class that makes it fun. We get energy from each other & the good music. The more yogis there are the more fun it becomes. It doesn't matter if you're what type of body shape you have. No one cares. The regular yogis also come in all shapes & sizes. We're all just trying to be healthy & have fun. The studio is clean. The instructors are always cleaning the floor mats & mirrors. There's no weird odors. You will not be lying in someone else's puddle of sweat. The owners/instructors are super friendly. This studio is very welcoming.

I tried out the Newbie unlimited pass, and was going about 3-4 times a week. What I love about this studio is that they seem to have instructors that are more invested with each of its clients. For instance, the instructors call out participants by name saying how great they are doing in a move. I also like how some instructors incorporate arm weights into the class, which look tiny, but are quite strenuous. My favorite instructors are Corri, Ina, Ariel, and Mara. After being here for a few months, I'd say 90% of the instructors are good, and you will get a good workout in. Some things I don't like about the studio are the booking options for the classes. By first glance, it looks impossible to book a class, as the options are almost always "waitlist only." I am pulled off the waitlist about 80% of the time, but not always. I always feel like in general, it's annoying to be put on a waitlist, instead of being confirmed right away. In addition, if I could change the membership options, what I would change is the options for classes per month. It skips from 8 classes/month to 12 classes/month, which is a big jump. Wish there was an option in between to choose from. Another bummer is the mirrors in the class. 80% of the reformer machines have mirrors on all sides, but there are a few spots that don't have many options, so it's hard to see yourself in the mirror to correct yourself. The parking is really easy in this area, which is amazing. Even in broad daylight, the residential parking a block down and over are free for 2-4 hours! Love that! In general, I really love this studio and would recommend if you want to try Reformer pilates.

I did 2 morning classes which worked out perfectly for my schedule and the parking outside (street cleaning so be aware of the days, also no meter paying until 9AM). The studio is very well setup, spacious and clean with good ventilation/ac. Reformers are staggered with lots of mirror around and motivational words up top (love that!). I appreciate the little baskets each reformer has for our personal items, such as smart way to keep out things in one place, next to us! Very high 4 stars rating, only things that brings it down is its soo pricey for a membership or per session... but that's a Pilates reformer class anywhere you go. Nevertheless, definitely worth the try and I just may be back every once in a while!

For me I find using the various Pilates equipment, in a small group setting, to be the most efficient and enjoyable workout. For years I would travel to SF to go to a studio I loved! Once I had my daughter I stopped the regular workouts and it became very difficult to get to my old studio. I really wanted to get back to weekly sessions so I started the search! I looked all over the coast, and even the Peninsula, for an exceptional pilates studio. I finally discovered Lele at Half Moon Bay Pilates. I absolutely LOVE my sessions with her. I participate in weekly, small group private workouts (usually 4-6 people). It is the value of a lifetime... having her expertise guiding your every move. She focuses on each persons strengths and limitations which is invaluable. The studio has exceptional quality equipment as well as a variety of other props that are used. The space very clean and setup for a nice, relaxed feel. We are always switching up the workouts and trying new things. Lele keeps it fun, information and enjoyable. But unfortunately, the experience with their policy and customer support has been frustrating enough that I'm seriously reconsidering coming back. I've been dealing with a prolonged illness, and per their own policy, clients with symptoms are not allowed to attend class (which I fully respect). But when I reached out to explain my situation, I was only given a two-week extension -- no flexibility, no empathy, just a firm deadline. When I tried to use the remaining classes before expiration, I did not show up due to a worsening cough at the day of class-- again, trying to be responsible and follow their rules. I then received a late cancel/no show warning email, which said I'd normally be charged an extra $15 fee on top of the class I already paid for, just for being too sick to attend. Although the fee was waived this time, the tone of the message and the overall approach felt more like a punishment system than a client-centered one. The policy is confusing, rigid, and completely lacking in support for people dealing with health issues. It left me feeling discouraged and unwelcome -- not something I expect from a wellness studio.

They don't have a reception area so I was a little lost walking in but I just followed what everyone else was doing. The workout itself was fine. Compared to the classes I took in the past I didn't find the instructor to be helpful. When I got home I got an email about my bill from Pilates V which was a charge for grip socks which I did not purchase. I ended up reaching out to management for a refund. There was a couple back and forth with the emails where I had to reach out for updates. It did become a bit frustrating because I didn't talk to the instructor at all but was told that the instructor said it was me that purchased. In the end I received my refund which I was thankful for however I feel like this could have been solved in a more efficient way. I ended up not using the rest of the Groupon classes but it's a loss I would rather take than take more classes.

I've been to plenty of studios and have never experienced that. Taken from Carly, Molly, Sara, Lydia... don't think there's anyone else (lol, in the times that I can go), and I truly have an effective true pilates workout. I feel worked in a balanced healthy strong way. Alignment and form is very important to me otherwise your just going through the motions and not making your body healthier. There's max 6-7 people per class and privates available throughout. I have taken private's and definitely think they are faster for growth and strength, but isn't realistic for me to do 5x a week. A mix would be perfect. They do have a private intro deal I need to try. 3 classes for $199. Most classes, are on the reformer which is my preference but once in awhile we land at the chair and wall apparatus. Nice change of pace every so often. One room for reformer, one room for wall work. They have a Cadillac for privates. Two bathrooms and just a super clean cute layout. Bravo. My secret studio that won't be so secret soon.
