Cute little studio. I like how they offer different services like Pilates, yoga, and boxing. They offer lots of space for lockers, water dispenser and bathroom/shower. Clean a studio. Lightening is okay but they have really good air conditioning which helped during the Pilates class I took. I enjoyed it. Street parking by meter only. read more

Checked out a Saturday morning Flexxit Strength Training class using my ClassPass and really enjoyed it! It consisted of circuit training with 4 stations that combined both weights and cardio. The instructor gave clear instructions, was motivating without judgment, and provided alternative exercises when needed. Overall, it was a great workout with clean facilities! Only downside is that Broadway generally only offers metered parking, but not the studio's fault. read more

I have been a monthly member here since 2021 and I love it so much. The community is warm, fun and dedicated. The instructors are top notch and there is a nice variety of classes: Barre, XX, Classic, Weight Lifting, Boxing, Yoga, etc... Small touches like - on my birthday the front desk had a little sign wishing me a happy birthday or when I missed a few days in a row, an instructor reached out to see if I was feeling okay, make this place such a standout. I love seeing the friendly, familiar faces in classes. The strong sense of community also helps with accountability. I joined a three month membership in July. it's been a great experience. I had never done the Pilates Reformer previously and am now a convert. Flexx Studios offers the perfect balance of the hottest fitness classes: Pilates, kickboxing, TRX, strength training, Barre, and they just keep adding more and more classes every month! My favorite classes are Pilates (Flexxformer XX) and kickboxing (knockout XX). I love how Adrianne and Kimmy's classes just have the perfect mix of cardio, strength, & stability. I always leave the class sore and I feel like I am always learning something new! LOL we even did the viral social media handstand challenge after class. It's not just about the classes and the instructors that Flexx does a great job at, but the community they build! Flexx got me addicted to health and fitness and it's amazing! I am so happy with my lifestyle right now and where I am. Just looking back I never thought I would be committed to regularly workout, but I am so happy I am now! The first class I took was back in 2017, but was so busy I didn't go regularly. I committed in the beginning of 2021 and went regularly. I am long overdue to write a review as I have been attending classes at Flexx for almost a decade. Each time I enter I am welcomed warmly by the receptionists, who remember my name and always have something sweet to say. The classes are varied but I have targeted the Classic Pilates classes, taught by several different instructors. I've become significantly stronger and more flexible over the last 10 years and I know I have Flexx to thank for that. If it were possible, I would give them minus 2 stars. The overall experience I had with this studio was subpar. In 2023, I visited their studio as a trial member and liked it. I visited them today as a Classpass member. As a result of parking issues, I was six minutes late to class on Saturday morning at 8.30 am. Since I was over 5 minutes late, I was NOT allowed into the class. However, the receptionist told me that I was checked in and my Classpass credits were used up, and I was asked to contact Classpass to request a refund. Because preparing for the classes and driving takes at least an hour and the studio had already "checked me in" (used up my credits), I requested to be accommodated for another class later that day. It was a 10.30am class the same day. Approximately 10.15am, the owner of the studio called me to tell me she could not accommodate me and she is fighting Classpass to refund my credits. In addition to wasting about three hours of my precious Saturday morning, she also impacted my fitness goals. In addition, it was mentioned that Classpass members don't show up and ruin the studio experience for regular members. I was told that Classpass member receive discounted prices and studios lose out on compensation. I was told "Classpass is looking closely into my account and the studio owner hopes that Classpass treats me well moving forward." Why in the world would a Studio owner of an esteemed studio in the Bay Area get on the phone with Classpass to fight for "7 credits" for a member who she did not accommodate/treat fairly? Classpass members should not attend this studio, steer clear. read more

This small business could do better towards servicing customers. I purchased a 3 class introductory package. On the 2nd class day i decided to purchase the monthly membership, under the impression that the monthly membership would kick off when i start using that monthly membership towards booking any classes. That wasnt the case. The monthly membership got kicked off on the day i registered, and thus i lost 2 classes out of the 3 class introductory package that i purchased. When i discussed my situation with the front desk staff, she said she would discuss with the owner and give me 2 class credit back for later use. But the owner declined to make any adjustments. Overall i was skimmed for 2 class credits out of the 3 class package that I purchased. One would expect this kind of non-understanding behavior from big chains, but not small businesses. But this owner seems to be on every lookout for skimming customers of their money! I would NOT recommend this studio given this experience. There are a lot of of other great studios in Burlingame area and this place is totally not worth it given the unprofessional owner! read more

This review goes out to Bo and the resistance and toning class. He is a genius with the body. He understands body mechanics. From unfit to ultra fit, You will be safe in his class. The room was comfortable to sweat in. We had access to a bunch of great props. As a middle aged woman who is noticing her body changing, This class was very invigorating. The studio is always very clean, including the bathrooms and all the equipment is cleaned up between uses too. This studio basically gave me PTSD from trying to cancel my membership. Tip: If you've properly done everything you needed to do to cancel (You've submitted a 30-day written cancellation notice and paid your last month), just take your credit card off your file. My little horror Covid gym story: This gym was closed at various times during the Covid lockdown, and so I only had 45 days of access to the studio by some point, and yet Annabelle (the owner) and Karen Lynch (the client relations manager) charged me for a 3rd month after 45 days. They were clearly in the wrong, and yet they still wrote me condescending and non-sensical emails about why they needed to charge me for a 3rd month after 45 days of use. I forwarded these emails to a lawyer, who could not make sense of their logic and had no idea what they were talking about. I went through a horrible week of back-and-forth emails, and even seriously considered taking them to litigation before they conceded and agreed that since I only had 45 days of access to the gym, I should only pay for two months. Please, if you know your math is correct, do not let them push you around into paying more than what you're due. read more

I did a ClassPass membership for a couple of months so got to try a lot of the gyms around Burlingame and Flexx is the one that I decided to stay with and get a membership to. The other classes are good but I'm mainly here for the Pilates. Compared to other Pilates studios I looked at it is a larger class experience, but the benefit of that is you're not dropping a small fortune if you want to go 3-5 days a week. It's a great core workout, different every time, and not something you could just do at home with a video or get anyone off the street to instruct. I find my posture is better, I've got better strength and flexibility, and my back aches and pains are better. read more

The staff and the facility is amazing, super clean, and a lot of natural light. Every class is anchored by professional instructors who all have their own unique style (try them all!). I have been going to this Pilates Studio location since 2016 (it was under the same ownership but different name), when my wife gifted me a 1 month 'trial membership'. Flexx Pilates Studio on Broadway in Burlingame is a 5-Star studio in my opinion! I've been going there since it first opened its doors originally as Pilates ProWorks, then when it re-opened after the initial shut-down in the early coronavirus pandemic days it returned as Flexx Studio and is the same great Pilates studio. I use Flexx for classic Pilates Reformer Classes which I love! Many more types of classes are offered, check out their website. I'm counting on Flexx Studio to continue being my go to Pilates Studio for years to come. Love this place. read more

FLEXX is a wonderful studio offering a variety of classes for different fitness levels and an online app to schedule them. I've taken the Pilates classes at FLEXX for several years and they've improved my strength, endurance and balance significantly. The instructors are knowledgeable and offers ways to tailor workout sessions to make them more challenging or employ a work-around to accommodate injuries or sensitive areas such as knees and shoulders. Machines are wiped down with antibacterial wipes after each class session and the doors are kept open to facilitate circulation, so I feel comfortable working out in the studio even during the pandemic. read more
