The entire property, and especially the barn, was flawless on the day of our wedding and there were so many gorgeous photo opportunities it was difficult to take advantage of them all. The farmhouse, cellar and tree house were perfect hangouts for us and our wedding party during the day, and many of my guests enjoyed exploring the beautiful grounds while taking a break from dancing. Whereas other venues had hidden fees and added costs, Wine and Roses provided all of the tables, chairs, facilities and transitions we needed, even going out of their way to request that draperies hung for another event the weekend before remain up for us to use free of charge. Johanna, the venue owner, was professional, flexible and easy to work with both leading up to and on the day of our wedding. Rather than see us as just another business arrangement at the tail end of her busiest season, Johanna demonstrated true commitment to making our day special, seamless and fun. Johanna was also able to provide some great recommendations and reviews as we selected our other vendors, which helped us put together a great team of experienced professionals for the day. Melissa, the venue coordinator, was responsive to all of our questions leading up to the big day, even going so far as to help us find ways to trim the budget without sacrificing the important details and special touches. For larger events, I would definitely recommend using Melissa's Jubilee Weddings services for set up and take down. For a very small charge, all set up, preparation and take-down was taken care of on the day of the wedding, giving my family and friends more time to simply enjoy the day. While I was at first concerned to learn that Melissa could not be on-site for our wedding day, she was careful to communicate all details to the day-of coordinator, Leslie, who did a fantastic job at implementing our vision and keeping the day on-schedule. Even our complicated centerpieces were set up perfectly and packed up carefully at the end of the night. While I'm confident that our wedding day would have been memorable regardless of the venue, the staff at Wine and Roses truly made the day's logistics run smoothly, always with our vision and our guests' comfort in mind, which allowed us to relax, focus on the moment and enjoy the day!

Our biggest uncertainty beforehand was how much, if any, parking was available. It turns out that they have access to a garage behind the mansion, and there was a person welcoming us at the entry to the garage, giving us instructions on getting to the pedestrian entrance and a sheet of paper with the code for the lock. The exit door could have been better labelled, but that was the only glitch. The venue itself is lovely, looking very much like I imagine it did when it was built in the early 20th century. The caterers were amazingly efficient, both in serving drinks and hot appetizers on the veranda, and in reconfiguring the main room from the ceremony to a sit-down dinner while drinks were being served. This was a great location, enhanced by caterers who clearly knew what they were doing.

Just something neutral, classy, and easy to work with my vision for my wedding. Apparently I was asking too much, because every other typical wedding site was $3000+ to rent, required you to use their vendors (boooo), had hideous carpet or tapestries, or their coordinators liked to ignore me. Then, in a final search of desperation, I found a link to Great Hall at Green Lake. It was meant to be. Nelda was super prompt in responding to me (major cookies and points here), friendly, and didn't just want to throw numbers at me. My fiance and I scheduled a tour of the place and Nelda showed us every nook and cranny, and was more than happy to answer all of our questions. Very reasonable rental prices (in comparison to all the other wedding venues out there) and Nelda is very up-front about any optional/additional costs. I am not a bridezilla, but I do expect a professional attitude and level of interest from someone acting as a vendor on one of the most important days of my life, and I am happy to say that thus far, the communication process and tour of the space has been perfect; I cannot wait to have my wedding here next spring, and I will surely return with another review.

I also really liked that it got a lot of natural lighting in the building. We initially wanted an outdoor wedding but being in Seattle, that was too much of a risk to take even in the month of August. We were initially concerned that it would be too hot and that we would need to rent air conditioners but it was pretty cool outside that day so we did not need to. They also had some large portable fans on the stage if needed but we did not need them on our wedding day. The staff was very hands-off. We scheduled a tour twice and sometimes it seemed like they were not expecting us. I think it was because someone was on their way out of the job and some things needed to be communicated. They were very flexible about letting us come in to look at the place for a second time with our wedding coordinator and set out chairs and tables to see what it would be like, they basically left us alone and said we could leave whenever we were finished. They have one larger room upstairs to be used as a bridal suite, and then one smaller room downstairs that seemed too small to be a second bridal suite. I ended up letting the groom/groomsmen get ready in the main, larger bridal suite, then us ladies got ready at my friend's house, and then we told the guys to leave when we were on our way and that worked out pretty well. I had about 120ish people at my wedding and it was pretty tight when the tables were out, like my husband and I could barely walk across to get to our table and people had to stand and scoot in. During there ceremony, it was perfectly fine. The main thing that was an issue for me is that they do not have a dumpster that we could use and expected us to haul our own trash out after the wedding reception. They charged quite a lot of money if we were to leave trash for them to dispose of. I think that was the most stressful part, and they also said that we can't dump garbage in the neighboring dumpsters. This was the only reason for me taking off one star. Otherwise, I loved this venue for my wedding!

With a rooftop, and outdoor space on ground level there is a lot of variety - and convertible space for room transitions from event to dance floors. Work with your designers to highlight the modern elements and you'll do well, simple decorations provably shine here over others. The only downside side is the location where the scenery is industrial histories and not as great except on the rooftop. Great cheap parking for the event nearby.

One of the most important things for us was finding a venue "that had a space for everyone" and that's EXACTLY what the Foundry provides. You wanna dance? It's an AWESOME dance floor. Need a breather? Check out the courtyard or the rooftop. Want to be involved but just watch? There are various side-rooms and balconies to check out the action. Of course, another huge pro is that catering is provided in-house, so it made that part of the process so much easier. We also used their list of recommended vendors, all of whom are familiar with the space, and it made set-up on the day of the event an absolute breeze. We do need to respectfully acknowledge that communication with the venue was... a little suspect at times. They experienced a lot of turnover over the past year (as well as some pricing changes), and while we were ultimately very happy with our experience, we hope they can get back to some consistency so that all couples and events get a smooth experience! (A special shoutout to Brittany who stepped in for our last month and really brought things home for us, thanks friend!!) Overall, we are so glad that we picked the Foundry and we hope you consider them for your event!!

A family member was married here. $2500 gets you a beautiful space overlooking the water. We had use of the venue from 10am - 12 midnight. There was a bar area that had various sized glasses for 150 people. We brought our own beverages. We had use of the kitchen and did all the food ourselves. The bridesmaids decorated the chairs and gazebo that was made for the wedding. Two employees helped facilitate setting up plates and bussing tables. There is a dressing room for the bride (and wedding party) that has comfy couches, a dorm sized fridge and a counter space for hair & makeup people (if you bring them). There is a places to hang clothes. I saw hangers by the coat rack but I would bring hangers for gowns and dresses. The door by the kitchen can be locked. If you want privacy for this room, it is s good idea to have someone posted by the door. The facility has members that aren't restricted during your event. We saw a few people making their way to the dock that were not on our guest list. It would have been nice if they could have discreetly entered and avoided our dining area. We had 150 guests and a bridal party of twelve. There were only two stalls in each bathroom. If you want photo opps by the water, the bride and groom can take pictures on the dock. There is also a lovely place by the water that is a short walk from the building. The venue has various vases and containers that you can borrow to put on tables. The sound system is simple. There was a microphone. We brought our own music. There is a baby grand piano inside. Bonus points for the pretty views at sunset.

This venue is owned by the same people who have canceled my wedding at the Landing at Shilshole Bay…read moreso I wanted to make sure people booking here are aware of how Peter and Crystal do business. I was scheduled to have my wedding here on August 3rd. After booking in December and being told that construction would be completed in March my family and I checked in often to make sure everything was on track. The venue was not completed in March and we were given excuses every week since then about why things were not happening. My fiancé ended up going to see the construction progress on a date not scheduled with Peter and Crystal which is when he found the stop work order posted on their front door. Every time we had visited they covered this with a poster advertising the venue. We confronted them about this at our next meeting where they denied any problems and assured us that the venue would be completed. After looking into it more ourselves we found out that they do not have permits for the construction and have multiple people trying to get money back from them. At our next meeting we confronted Peter with this information where he finally said that our event would not be able to happen. The stop work order had been in affect since January. He chose not to inform anyone of this and keep taking people's money. We asked for our money back and he said if he wrote us a check it would bounce. They do not have any money and are scamming people. He promised to pay my dad back on Monday and it has not happened. He has stopped responding to us. Do not use this venue or their other venue called The Landing at Tyee. The construction has been done with out permits and the owners are lying to couples about what is going on with construction. Probably one of the cleanest places I have ever stayed, and I have traveled all over the world. We felt extremely comfortable there, even with the covid19 nervousness. The woodwork is absolutely beautiful. The property is very well maintained and wonderfully upkept. Thankfully we have this wonderful option in Gig Harbor when visiting family and friends. The owner…read moreclaimed that she had never listed the site on Hotels.com, would never do so in "all the years" she had been a bed-and-breakfast. She also said that while she had availability she wasn't just an overnight hotel and that we should call Hotels.com to get our money back. "I don't know who you paid, but you didn't pay me." There were 3 rooms listed on Hotels.com. We booked The Dahlia room. The owner didn't even have the courtesy to come and speak to us in person and offered no assistance. A terrible experience.

It was full of flavor, fresh, and left me wanting more. The beet and plum salad was so good and the pasta was just divine. I would sneak in just to have another serving of everything. The receptionist was such a sweet person and showed why this place is membership-only. It seems very exclusive, yet every person I encountered was so warm and welcoming.

We have used the RC for two client appreciation/business development events and not only do we love it, our clients do too! The food is always great (a highlight is the appetizer bacon wrapped dates), the drinks are tasty and the bartenders are pleasant, and as an organizer I think the spaces are beautiful and perfectly decorated.
