The hall had great acoustics and no matter where you sit or stand, you have a great view of the screen. No stage so we are all on the same level. Not much can be improved here. I didn't notice if it has an elevator or not. The keynote was on a Thursday night at 6pm and there was plenty of parking around the area when I arrived at 5pm.

The house and grounds can probably accommodate up to 150 people. Parking at the house is limited, so it's best to plan on offering valet parking for your guest. There is ample parking at the bottom of the hill under the Magnolia bridge. Inside the house, you'll find several rooms, including a bar and fireside room, as well as a large dining room with a dance floor. Outside, a circular driveway around the house offers access to an amazing view looking north over the bay. You'll look past the marina where the cruise ships dock to downtown Seattle and Mt. Rainier beyond. Voted best new place to have a wedding in 2014 by Seattle Magazine!

Although we decided to book our event elsewhere, it was a pleasure to work with her. I'm definitely holding onto the information she gave me for booking an event here, corporate or personal, in the future. One can book out the space of the cafe as well if needed. They will also add their cafe's barista service to your event for a small fee. There's a small parking lot that is right nearby to use which is really helpful in this neck of the woods where parking is space. The space itself is a big concrete slab with concrete walls but they have all of the tables and chairs, a grand piano to rent, and the price is great along with the ability to have catering come in from outside and decorate the space as you see fit.

They're the cream of the crop when it comes to events in Seattle. They do big-budget, high quality, over the top, awesome events. They do smaller events too but this is your go-to space if you want a customized party for over 1000 people. There's a stage, there's state of the art lighting, white walls with projectors to project movies, images, etc. They even have different sets and packages so you can do soft seating, tables, classrooms, or whatever you could dream up. I've come for large scale cocktail parties, I've come for networking events, and I've come for themed holiday bashes and dance parties. They can truly do it all. The staff appears to be well organized and there's always, always staff easy to find for load-in or questions of any kind. Whenever I see an event promoted and spot that it's being hosted at Fremont Studios, I know it's going to be good.

After spending seven months on the hunt for the perfect wedding venue, I was ready to give up. I'm…read morenot going to lie, I am picky; I specifically wanted a large, open, indoor space with natural light, and minimal furnishings - ultimately, a blank canvas. Just something neutral, classy, and easy to work with my vision for my wedding. Apparently I was asking too much, because every other typical wedding site was $3000+ to rent, required you to use their vendors (boooo), had hideous carpet or tapestries, or their coordinators liked to ignore me. Then, in a final search of desperation, I found a link to Great Hall at Green Lake. It was meant to be. Nelda was super prompt in responding to me (major cookies and points here), friendly, and didn't just want to throw numbers at me. My fiance and I scheduled a tour of the place and Nelda showed us every nook and cranny, and was more than happy to answer all of our questions. Very reasonable rental prices (in comparison to all the other wedding venues out there) and Nelda is very up-front about any optional/additional costs. I am not a bridezilla, but I do expect a professional attitude and level of interest from someone acting as a vendor on one of the most important days of my life, and I am happy to say that thus far, the communication process and tour of the space has been perfect; I cannot wait to have my wedding here next spring, and I will surely return with another review.

I also really liked that it got a lot of natural lighting in the building. We initially wanted an outdoor wedding but being in Seattle, that was too much of a risk to take even in the month of August. We were initially concerned that it would be too hot and that we would need to rent air conditioners but it was pretty cool outside that day so we did not need to. They also had some large portable fans on the stage if needed but we did not need them on our wedding day. The staff was very hands-off. We scheduled a tour twice and sometimes it seemed like they were not expecting us. I think it was because someone was on their way out of the job and some things needed to be communicated. They were very flexible about letting us come in to look at the place for a second time with our wedding coordinator and set out chairs and tables to see what it would be like, they basically left us alone and said we could leave whenever we were finished. They have one larger room upstairs to be used as a bridal suite, and then one smaller room downstairs that seemed too small to be a second bridal suite. I ended up letting the groom/groomsmen get ready in the main, larger bridal suite, then us ladies got ready at my friend's house, and then we told the guys to leave when we were on our way and that worked out pretty well. I had about 120ish people at my wedding and it was pretty tight when the tables were out, like my husband and I could barely walk across to get to our table and people had to stand and scoot in. During there ceremony, it was perfectly fine. The main thing that was an issue for me is that they do not have a dumpster that we could use and expected us to haul our own trash out after the wedding reception. They charged quite a lot of money if we were to leave trash for them to dispose of. I think that was the most stressful part, and they also said that we can't dump garbage in the neighboring dumpsters. This was the only reason for me taking off one star. Otherwise, I loved this venue for my wedding!

I would recommend this place if they let up a little - it seems like they care more about making…read moremoney than trying to help you plan / manage your event. Lots of money go into this place and you're still not guaranteed your money back (alcohol consumption -$450) you can pay for them to set up but literally it's just them setting up tables and chairs (does it really make a difference? ) and you pay them by the hour to do nothing but watch you. You can't have any inflatable , ball pits no matter the size ( party baby fit for 1-5 year olds wouldn't work here !!! ) inside or out unless you get an order from king county and that's if they allow it on their property while also getting insurance for it and the alcohol and whatever other license or insurance they need. All these things are reasonable things to be worried about at your space but for you to be a great business and not help your costumers create the event they want is pretty diabolical. You want all this money but really all you can have inside is food drinks and a photo area. For some that's all they need but for $1200+ .... Absolutely NOT. I would find better , cheaper and same quality

The versatile multi-purpose room had all the amenities needed to throw the party of your dreams. The staff was professional and accommodating answering all our questions eliminating any stress. I also love the fact that all proceeds from rentals goes directly to TAF, which is a non-profit organization that supports TAF's programs. Highly recommend renting space at BCLS for parties, retreats, meetings, and more.
