Just a small portion of the rocks I screened out of my topsoil.

Terrible product - topsoil was full of rocks and glass! Pandemic project - I was finally going to get rid of all of the moss in my yard and get the lawn into shape! I removed all of the moss, and then ordered 10 yards of topsoil from Pacific Topsoil to fill in low spots and level things out before seeding. The topsoil was delivered, and it must have been over 10% rocks! It was supposed to be "screened". I didn't notice it at first, and started spreading the soil. Then I spent weeks screening it myself, raking rocks out of the yard, etc. I missed my seeding window, spent a lot of time, not to mention the soil wasn't cheap to begin with. And I now have a pile of gravel in my backyard from all of the screened rocks. And I'm still finding glass in the yard to this day.

It's still very obvious and gaping in the back corners, but in the interest of time/effort, have paid the full invoice and moved on. I will have to somehow cover up the ugliness next time when I re-do the mirror/frame at some point. Interestingly, I received a call more than a month later asking me to remove the original review, but still unwilling to re-do it correctly or give a proportional discount.

And then I looked at the sink. ::gasp:: spiderwebbed cracks! And then I touched the cracks. ::crash:: ::SUPERGASP:: a GIANT HOLE IN THE SINK and I'm staring at the cabinet floor. And the sink is epoxy glued into a granite cabinet!!! Immediate grief wells up as I realize I am staring at the loss of my entire apartment damage deposit. I can't, CAN'T. I have to find someone who can fix it. I called fixture stores who helped me find a provider of replacement sinks. After running around, measuring and comparing, finally I found the right sink. And now who to put the sink in? And right away?? They recommended a guy who recommended a guy who suggested Alexander Stone Arts. They came out in two days, arrived on time, reassured me that it wasn't impossible at all, and set to work hand-chiseling the basin off the granite. He didn't even have to use his grinder! He was done in no more than a half hour, it seemed amazingly easy (though I doubt it was). He left his metal clamp holding everything in place, & in a day all I had to do was put the ptrap plumbing back in and I was ALL GOOD for a fraction of the cost of my deposit. Super glad I called them, excellent service.

I'm giving Rescon one star because they did not finish the work they were contracted to do and they…read moreripped me off. I had Rescon at my house to fix a leak issue around a window. Their fixed bid included removing the window trim and the siding around the window to fix the leak, and to replace the window trim and siding with new materials. They removed the window trim only and then told me that the issue was with the window flashing. So they reflashed the window and replaced the window trim. They did not remove or replace any of the siding. Even though they were only at my house for 3 hours (and that included a trip to the lumber yard for supplies) I foolishly paid them $750 for this work. A few days later after a heavy rain the window leaked again. I called them and asked them to come back. I continued to call and leave messages every 4 or 5 days and finally got someone to answer my call. They said they would come out in a week. Another few weeks went by and they still had not come out. I continued to call and email. Finally when I got in contact with them they said that the $750 was for that work only and they would not credit any of that amount to continue to search for the leak, even though their original bid was going to include siding removal and replacement. They were not willing to do the remainder of the work that I had paid for on the original bid. Here's my breakdown of what it cost me: $100 materials (my estimate) 2 people's labor at $108/hour for 3 hours -------- $750 It does not take two people to replace 4 pieces of wood around a window. Nor do contractors in the Seattle area get paid $108/hour
