Since my last project and review in 2018, Rocky and his crew have done it again. Now I have a pathway, over 200 feet, which meanders through citrus and fruit trees, eucalyptus and other landscaping. While the crew was here they also terraced the entire hillside with magnificent boulders which are now lined with plants and they also built a stepping stone walkway to get to the top of the hill. What can we say about Rocky and his crew, apparently not much, as everyone has already addressed how awesome this company is at building Ponds and pondless water falls and features. After 3 decades of my wife keeping our front yard very nice and colorful with her plants, bushes and shrubs I decided to do something special for my wife in the front yard. The biggest concern in making my decision to go with a water saving front yard was the growing cost of the water for the grass and plants and also how much work the grass had turned into to maintain especially during the summer months. It (the grass) just did not look nice anymore. I designed a water fall with a false river bed with some landscape features for the front yard, I wanted the design to tie in with the real stone fireplace and it had to look as it was part of the surrounding environment. So after informing my wife I was going to do something special for her and that I needed her to trust me in what I was going to do concerning the front yard I called around for estimates. Only one responded to our requests for a estimate and that was Rocky from pacific Ponds. Rocky showed up on time and I presented my idea of what I was looking for in my design especially how it has to fit in with the local environment. His prices are super competitite, especially for the quality of work you get. I work out of a home office, so I watched the workers dig the pond, and they were more than waist deep digging out the trench, which is then lined with heavy rubber liner. I was impressed with the work ethic of his workers (this is important, because you can hire a good contractor but he's only as good as the workers he hires!). Ours is a "pondless-waterfall," very low maintenance, and what would have been the "pond" is filled with pebbles. We worked with Rocky to turn an eyesore in our backyard into a beautiful pond. We had previously installed a small retaining wall of stone around a mound of dirt in our back yard. The retaining wall was much too large and looked ridiculous. My husband began calling it the fish pond since it looked like a pond filled with dirt. Rocky and his crew were really great! We inherited a homemade pond in our new house and the filter kept clogging. He introduced me to a biological filter called Bog Filter which is a homemade filter that he and his crew built. The cost of it was steep..$3500, but included everything. My pond looks amazing now and it is clear to the bottom without continually have to pump out the filter every 2-3 days. They took 3 days to clean it. I was also originally quoted $1000 to clean the pond out since it was so dirty. But Rocky gave me a $300 discount plus another $300 for reusing my pump. He was a really honest guy with hardworking crew. Even when the job was done he made sure everything was cleaned up and also gave me a full bottle of enzyme/bacteria that helped clear the sludge from the pond that was worth ~$18. He also gave me a ring in which to put the food so that it didn't float out into the bog filter that was located downstream of the pond. I couldn't ask for a better crew. The cost of a bog filter is about the same anywhere you go, so if I had to pick I would pick Pacific Ponds again. The money put into this filter was worth it since the pond is now self-maintained and autofills with water when it is low. read more

Cure is the right name for the what had to be done to reverse a poor job of installation by my former landscape installer who buried parts of the fountain system that needed to be repaired.
